  2. yep ! sounds & looks totally normal to me, peeling lightly like that is a normal part of the healing process, like I said, put some aveeno on it lightly a couple times a day, enjoy your new tattoo and start planning your next one !

  3. I had this done yesterday. Picture is a bit wonky; it's harder than you'd think to get a decent photo of your own arm! It hurt a LOT more than I was expecting. Was really painful from start to finish (3 hours). My husband was tattoo'd at the same time, in the same location on his inner forearm and he sat like a rock, not a peep from him

  4. I don't think I've posted any of these: Grim design by Morten Transeth at Blue Arms Tattoo in Oslo: Morning star by Siggy from Death or Glory in CPH, done at Tattoo Nation in Kristiansand: And a little dragons head by Hanse at Blue Arms Tattoo in Oslo- who is currently at Idle Hands in SF till the end of February.

  5. We're done! The previous two day session didnt' go as well as the few before it had, I ended up having a pretty bad case of hitting the wall hard enough to lump my noggin. So I was concerned about the final session... but I did much better during those 5 or so hours a few days ago and here we are! Total I think ~35 hours, maybe deduct one or two total for breaks etc. That tengu has the exasperated smarmy expression I would expect it to have having had a teenage Yoshitsune (nee Ushiwakamaru) thwack it with a wooden sword. Horifuji's instagram has some clearer pictures from before we applied the film on it (as you can tell it was a bit ticked off and seepy by that point). (by Horifuji @ State of Grace, San Jose , CA, USA) Feels a bit weird plopping this on teh intertoobz but I am so pleased with my experience* that I wanted give him and the whole shop a shout-out. *minus the hurty being- poked-with-needles part.

  9. Ah feck it, here have a fresh pic of my new tattoo. On 2nd October I got this tattooed. A Honda CB Twin Motorcycle, with Giger style touches. Tattooed in memory of biker friends who recently passed. Tattooed by Tommygunn at Belfast City Skinworks, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Fresh pic (taken 4 Oct 17)

  10. Sarah did a first pass at correcting the faked line on my forearm that another artist did and I hated. After 3 laser sessions (one a two-pass session), it was ready. She did the lining and some grey shading. Looks thousands of times better. She will add color in early March. This is going to settle nicely, I think - and I'm already real happy with it. 16. I picked up this little heart and dagger at a local shop's flash event. Didn't realize until I got home that the top of the handle is jacked up. I think it'll be an easy fix so I'll just swing by one afternoon after it's healed and ask him to fix up the diamond-y part. Don't really blame the guy considering how insanely busy the shop was that day. Other than the handle, I love it, and it helps fill in an annoying gap nicely. EDIT: Silly me, I forgot to give credit. Atom Lenhart at Golden Ages in Lancaster, PA did this. I've been tattooed by two guys in that shop now and will probably get a second from Atom (I have an idea he would be awesome at) and will probably get stuff from the other two guys too.

  21. Hey guys...I'm not on the boards too much lately because frankly, I'm kind of tired of even thinking about tattoos at the moment. This current project I'm working on is the most grueling yet. Once I finish this piece, I think I'll go back to traditional one shots on my arms, because this thing is burning me out. Anyway, I met with Sam Warren recently to work on doing some coloring (so far we've done one for lining, one for black and gray shading, and now one for color). One more session to go next month to finish coloring and maybe do some touching up. Sorry the pic is horrible but have you ever tried taking a picture of your own thigh? It ain't easy. Here's some close ups of the key components:

  24. And then the following Friday, i headed over to Leeds in England for a pre-planned trip with a mate who was getting his first piece from Lukasz Christopher. I was booked in with Tom Flanagan - both in Oddfellows. I got a trad ship on my shin and a mandala on my foot (a Tom Flanagan staple). I have to sat, the foot was horrendously sore and not gonna go through it again any time soon! We had a great time in Oddfellows, Tom is a great guy and the other lads in the shop made us feel right at home. And the next morning. Swelling on the foot wasn't actually too bad Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

  32. Matt Arriola pantherized my last big spot yesterday at Spotlight. He couldn't quite get it to fit, so he decided to add flames. Always a good call. I have some inner thigh/tenderloin spots and a few tiny spaces on my legs, but if I said "I'm done" now, I don't think anyone would fault me. But we all know that I'm not done.

  33. Fully healed from my Irish landscape/road done in a woodblock print style. The way the artist did the hills is different (I can't say not how I expected, because I wasn't sure what to expect with them), but I think it's a function of trying to get the reference picture into the style and I think as it fades a bit, it will look even better. My two minor issues are the shading of the road at the bottom right and the rock (I think) that looks like it got missed along the left hand side. Now that I'm healed, I assume it's not a big deal to touch base with the artist and have him fix those two areas real quick sometime?

  37. I didn't realize until today that this was the place to post new work. I'm going on Friday to finalize the entire sleeve(at least that's the hope). We'll be filling in all the background that wasn't finished yet and then go over the entire piece to add highlights and really make it pop. So far, this is what's been done: https://instagram.com/p/yaAYr2Ry_X/ (This was 3 appointments, I just didn't want to throw a bunch of pictures in, mostly finished top half of the sleeve, there are still some sections that need to be finished). Started work on the bottom half, finished most of the lioness(about 70% done) in one sitting: And finally, about 2 weeks ago we did the inner forearm piece, the cubs: I'm so fucking happy with how the whole sleeve turned out. One more to go on Friday and I should be all set. I can't wait to post a shot of the entire sleeve, finished and healed.

  39. Here's a teaser. All the linework on my left leg is complete, and some of the dots/shading - but quite a bit of both remain. I've got another 10-12 hrs booked for April and June - so I'm hoping by end of summer I'll have a completed and healed half squid pant. - - - Updated - - - Whoa. Sorry about the huge photo.

  46. Please try and not let me stunningly beautiful bum distract you from the artwork :) 10 hours in total, so quick quick this time and I am glad! Some of the arse is brutal, specially where the cheek meets the thigh..... Victor said doing bums is awful, the skin is too soft and for him its not a very good place to tattoo but we are happy with the results. We still have a largish gap for the centre of my bum but we will just fill that next year with just a few shaded bits and pieces. We also have the back of that thigh to do next year. Maybe add a devil horn to the devil hound. My arse is red raw and swollen so sorry for the pics. :)
