  1. Thanks @jac1961 and @bongsau! It wasn't planned, at all. I was checking out the shop when he walked in, then he asked me if I was getting tattooed. I was like "no" but paused and asked if he had time. He asked what I wanted, I showed him a reference photo and within 30 minutes I was getting tattooed. He said that "toad/frog" was the magic word... I'm pretty stoked.

  2. Mandala/geo tattoos aren't my style, but I think it looks fine, looks like a tattoo and gives the "sleeve" look which some people desire. I try to resist the urge to get extra tattoos at the end of a session. Especially to just fill space for the sake of filling it. You're endorphins are going and it can make for clouded, hasty judgement and second-guessing. I know cause I've done it before. Stick to the initial plan and if you still have gas in the tank, I'd save it for the healing. Then you get to have an extra visit and hangout at the shop for the next tattoo. My $0.02

  4. Healed pic of tattoo got done on my right knee in January earlier this year. Artwork linked to Duriel, the Lord of Pain from Diablo. Tattooed by Tommygunn, in Belfast City Skinworks, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

  5. I won't get the rest of my back done but I thought about about having the tattoo on my right arm covered up with something "soft" in order to get some good balance to the whole picture. That was the original idea anyway. I'm feeling a little calmer and I hope it's getting better. It is good to know that my decision doesn't seem to be a huge mistake and that hopefully for now it's just my mind being weird.

  10. first of all that tattoo is fuckin awesome. sorry you are experiencing that though. while not having full blown panic attacks, I’ve had similar experiences with bigger pieces. i’ve never been one of those people that gets a tattoo and is immediately so psyched and wow’d by it, it takes me some time to love it, hate it, and get used to it. i think the risk, feelings, and change process is part of the art in a lot of ways. i would try to give it some time. everything in life is impermanent, including our bodies, minds, feelings, and thoughts. hang in there. and again that tattoo rocks.

  11. I am getting my right arm sleeve finished off, and it is such a large area that the itching is driving me nuts. I just started trying Beauty Brew Tattoo Aftercare, and it helps with the itching a lot. It's pretty natural stuff, which I like, and it is really great to not have nonstop itching. If you haven't tried it, give it a go. (By the way, this isn't an ad—another heavily tattooed guy recommended it, and it rules. I paid for it like every one else, but I love it and wanted to tell you guys about it.)
