    +1 When I hear, "I just want it gone" it makes me think they are in a hurry. Desperation for a quick coverup is a recipe for disaster. Every coverup is harder than the last, so take your time and get it right.

    Also, when you get it touched up, don't wash and lotion it so much. Just keep it clean and let it heal.

    Hey there and welcome! I'd send your artist a photo and/or contact the shop. You may just need a little touchup. If it's 5+ months old, it should be all healed. Question - did it scab in the areas where it's lighter? What was your aftercare routine?

    That will be no small project. Take the time to meet with an artist who understands and does good cover work. The artist can explain which colors will work and how much larger the cover piece will need to be to allow proper blending, shading and design. Plan on multiple sessions.

    I remember that article. She probably wrote another article later talking about how everyone regrets tattoos and crying about her laser removal. To the OP - same as my thoughts for a woman - if you have to ask, you're not ready.
