If you have the option to wear long sleeves for a few days I would cover it up. Think of it as an open wound- you don't want hot grease splatter in your beautiful wound and the customers don't want your gooey body fluids in their horrible food.

Had this Hulk/Banner metamorphosis piece recently by Amy Edwards at Dark Horse Collective near Sutton Coldfield. Two six hour sittings 😬, but worth every second. Banner was fresh, & the Hulk was part healed in the pic.

I'm super stoked. Yesterday I started my second tattoo, a tiger half sleeve on my left arm. Done by Jeff Stress at Enso Tattoo in Columbus, Ohio. I'll try to get better pics, this one is right after the fact. Two things that amazed me, that it only took Kevin 2 hours and how much the pain level can change in just a matter of a couple inches.

@AtomicMagpye Ha! That's a tender spot for sure but it's done and you never have to do it again. Unless of course, you do the other side.... I distinctly remember getting my right ribs done. It was only a four hour session and thankfully we finished. I remember calling my husband immediately after to tell him to slap me if I ever decide to do my left ribs. Within a month, I was planning my left ribs...*face palm.* (Note: he didn't slap me but he did remind me of the phone call!)

Have you considered getting Tegaderm and healing it that way? I am a medic, so I am constantly moving and brushing up against items and patients at my job. I had to go back to work the day after i got my forearm tattoo, and I used Tegaderm on it to help protect it and to help heal it. I had absolutely no issues and would absolutely recommend this method. The Tegaderm is great because it helps provide a barrier in case your new wound is exposed to something, but it also helps reduce pain if you accidentally brush up against something. Chad Koeplinger is coming back to NH next month and I was able to get in with him again. Gonna work on something for the rest of the forearm where he made a torch last year.

Lol thanks! They are pretty good animals. I wouldn't mind having an Aussie someday though. I'm a sucker for merle.... Blitz is 1/8 Australian shepherd. That's where he gets it from.

I’m not sure what’s going on with your tattoo, but I recommend going to a Dermatologist at this point. It seems like you may need a higher level of care and/or treatment than what a general practitioner can give you.

I was going to try to go to the Baltimore convention this April, but the artist I most wanted to get a piece by never got back to me so not sure if that's happening. Oh well, more money for other tattoos. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Definitely will be trying to make it to the Pagoda City convention this August and reached out to an artist already to confirm they would be there. I might try to get two pieces while I'm there, I'll have to wait until it gets closer to schedule anything. I'd kind of like to get something before then too but no idea who or what. I definitely have the itch though.

Just booked my second Tattoo at Dead Presidents Lounge in Albany. Will be getting a modified Sailor Jerry as a memorial to my grandfather who recently passed away. The banners will be changed and he’s going to move the ship up and try to get the full ship in. It will be on the back side of my forearm. I attached the reference picture and a picture of the 1st piece my artist did for me.

Really stoked. I had a consultation on Tuesday for my second tattoo at Enso Tattoo in Columbus, OH. Went great, really looking forward to it. He said he prefers to keep sessions to 3 to 4 hours and that mine will be 2 or 3 sessions. From what I've read, my artist is no nonsense and puts in a good hours work. Waiting to hear back for my first appt. It's going to be a color half sleeve asian tiger on my left arm. Below is the reference print I gave. Looking forward to posting pics of the progress.

Here's our girl Dixie. Never when I've thought about what kind of dog we might like to own, did a bloodhound ever cross the radar. We wanted to adopt (we're big on rescuing instead of buying) a gentle dog that would be good with the grandkids. Wanted a golden retriever or lab, but was getting frustrated as so many want to adopt them. A google search led us to bloodhounds and then to a rescue based in Ontario Canada. You just couldn't ask for a sillier, happier family dog. Not a day goes by that we don't chuckle about something she does or 'tells' us.

I never said it makes anyone evil to buy instead of adopt. Most of the people I know who have bought just don't know about the problem. As far as knowing what you get from a breeder, where do you think the 'problem' pure bred dogs sitting in shelters come from? I encourage everyone to do their own research. We've been sold a bill of goods by the AKC about the 'superiority' of pure bred dogs. Research shows that purebreds have more behavioral and health issues than mutts.

I hate to preach, but please don't buy animals, adopt. If you don't know why, look up puppy mills and see the horrific conditions most of these dogs you buy are bred in. 2.7 million animals are killed in shelters every year, many of them pure breds. There just is no excuse for buying an animal. I hate to be a downer, but I do a lot of rescue work and every time someone buys an animal, they make some greeder wealthy and one more shelter animal is killed. Petfinder.com is a great place to start. OK, getting off of soap box.
