    Upcoming Tattoos

Really stoked. I had a consultation on Tuesday for my second tattoo at Enso Tattoo in Columbus, OH. Went great, really looking forward to it. He said he prefers to keep sessions to 3 to 4 hours and that mine will be 2 or 3 sessions. From what I've read, my artist is no nonsense and puts in a good hours work. Waiting to hear back for my first appt. It's going to be a color half sleeve asian tiger on my left arm. Below is the reference print I gave. Looking forward to posting pics of the progress.

  2. Hello everybody, I'm Ryan. Together I own Panumart Tattoo with my wife. She is Thai and I am American. 3 years back I left the US for Thailand. I was a web designer back then. I would never have guessed that in the future I'd own a tattoo shop. But Ahm, who is now my spouse, changed that. Last year she began training to become a professional tattoo artist. This year I suggested she leave her teacher's studio to open her own shop. And she said yes! Together we teamed up to open up Panumart Tattoo, which is named after her. She did the important stuff of course, while I handled the website design and customer service. My favorite part of the process so far (other than working with Ahm) is the interaction with customers. I love meeting people and hearing their stories. Especially since Chiang Mai attracts tourists from all over the world. It's so nice that tattooing brought us together. That's all I have to say about me. Feel free to say hello. Have a good day everybody!

  3. thanks for the encouragement! i’m no stranger to multiple day sits. did 28 hours over 3 consecutive days for my sleeve. the back really sounds like it’s going to be a whole different beast though.

  4. If you're done, you're done - but it's not at all unusual for the "artist" to draw up the design the night before, or even the hour before.

  5. @Dominiccjs lol ...i can relate! i had myself psyched out about the pain from reading so much on this thread. Honestly, it sucks, BUT you can do it. Drink LOTS of water and eat small snacks (fruit/nuts) on every break. The healing process is a breeze. My back has healed better than any tattoo ive gotten over the past 10 years. Also, Dan Molloy rules so hard. That Kali backpiece he did on his wife is unreal. Dont stress, its all worth it.

Hi. Ive never been on any kind of forum before so this is a first. ive been tattooing for about 3 years and I'm always looking for ways to be apart of the community and give a little back. I currently work 3 days a week at good mojo tattoos in Beverly mass. and another 3 days a week at sad clown city in boston mass. I paint allot of flash and if anyone wants to trade or do a split sheet I'm always into that. I don't have a website but I'm on Instagram @sushidavetattoo.

Thanks @Dan, he seemed to think it was a good image. I felt better taking something like this and let him do his take on it rather than a pic of another tattoo. He said that he'd stencil the tiger and draw in the background, which I like. Yep, I'm just west of Toledo. I found in researching artists close enough to me to travel to, that I had to look to Columbus, Cleveland or Cincinnati for any that really specializes in a certain style. I'm glad that you pointed out Greg's work as I do hope to get an American traditional some day.

  10. @Dominiccjs It's nerve wrecking at first but you got this. take the other lesson from this thread: as painful as it can be if all these people can do it you can too. I'm going at a much slower rate, but you got this. Good luck!

Yep. You gotta wait. It's going to take 6-8 weeks before you really know what it's going to look like.

    Tattoo cloudy

Yep - it's normal for it to look a lot lighter after the scabs fall off. Black will never look as dark as when the tattoo is fresh. In reality it's always gonna look more of a dark blue than actual black. Occasionally you may also get lighter spots related to bits not healing so well / ink fallout - hard to know that til it's fully healed though.

  13. Kinda hate to term anything I do as 'awesome', but this as close as it comes for me lol. I retired from my 'real job' specifically to be able to chase my passion (over used term) of woodworking. Now days I spend 6-8 hours in my shop making anything that catches my fancy. Here are a few recent pieces that I finished as Christmas gifts.

  14. Awesome guys thanks for that! Some great suggestions, apparently I'm difficult to buy for because hey I'm an adult if I want something I'll buy it myself. At least I can point to something now.

    I hate summer :(

I love summer. I can always find a way to cool off. Now it seems to be fading away... sad. It always goes too fast and winter drags on too long.
