Sometimes "balm" reacts differently to healing. Might do you well to stop using it if you already haven't. It may have also slowed or affected the healing. I wouldn't worry though.
relax, looks perfectly normal to me,3 months is NOT healed 100%,put on Aveeno fragrance free everyday and keep it out of the sun, stop looking at it with a microscope, and plan your next one.
Personally, I use a scent-free anti-bacterial soap to wash during the first two weeks of healing before switching back to my "usual." At this point, though, the important thing is to keep it clean, not over-moisturize if you're using it to help heal, and watch your tattoo for any signs of infection. Odds are, you'll be fine.
going forward. the eyes of the tiger will be colored the same color as the owl.
under the blue eye on my inner forearm will be trees and woods, similiar to what is under the owl.
so what do you guys think so far? how is the work? good job so far? suggestions? tips on what to do next?
Just to throw a little something else in. I don't know how tattoo artists and their shop handle the reporting of tips as income, but when I got my tattoo, I handed the artist cash for a tip before leaving their room. I was paying with a card and knew I could add the tip on there, but figured there's no need to have it on the books.
Anybody asks, I didn't give nobody nuttin'.
Happy update: my tattoo wasn't infected 😬 I've taken off the Tegaderm and it's peeling and healing nicely.
Can't wait for my little monster to fully heal.
Because this thread needs to be bumped.
If thy hate thy first tattoo, thou shall not freak out.
Thou shall wait at least three months before making any decisions on cover-ups, laser or additional tattoos.
If I may throw in my 2 cents as a newbie:
If thou art new to tattoos and tattooing, thou shalt read this forum prior to joining so that thou hast a basic understanding of what it stands for.
Thou shalt back down and reconsider thy position when contradicted by a forum member with greater knowledge and experience.
Thou shalt be willing to learn.
