  1. Email the change request, and maybe call their shop to make sure it was read (don't expect to talk to more than a receptionist if they are busy). It's normal to not see the design until you show up - but burn this into you brain - DON'T LET THEM PROCEED UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED! I made the mistake of accepting a wonky design that the artist said he'd correct when he inked it. He didn't and it took years and $$$$ la$er work to get it to where another artist could make it right.

  2. @rdinak Yeah, that officially qualifies as shitty. Very sorry. I hope that you have a good day, today!

  3. Go easy on the lotion. It's a fresh wound. Yes, you need to keep it lightly moisturized but it has to breathe to heal. :)

Only a few weekends out from getting some peonies on my right calf. I told myself that I would never do my calves. Pfft!

    Tipping Question

I see some customers struggling to pay the shop minimum for a small tattoo. I'd be surprised if they gave anything extra. I have a new girl friend, she likes tattoos and was there for my back piece last week. She always brings something. Iced coffees, donuts, chocolates to give out to everyone.

  7. LOL yes ! blue on your skin tone will look great, should look fine, but it will also depend on the ink that is used and the style of the tattooer. remember colors stay looking better kept out of the sun and use of good sunblock. you should try to chill and relax,it's a good idea for pre-tattoo mindset

  8. I have had both ankles, both outer arms and both shoulders/shoulder blades, and all the way around one upper arm almost to the elbow. The worst is a tie between my ankle and the inner biceps. The ankle was a coverup of Kanji and had to be pretty heavily shaded. It took about 2.5 hours, not bad at all, but the table paper after I was done had a Liz-shaped damp spot, lol. I didn't make a peep but clearly suffered! My inner bicep actually swelled up and was hot to the touch for about 3 days after, making everyone wonder about infection, but it was NOT, just a lymph response and was totally fine. Shoulder blades were no problem, like the upper arm, even collarbone was okay, just a very odd vibration that went through my entire body. I need my other inner bicep done (feel odd not having this design creep all the way around the arm) but am putting it off because of the other side. Worth it in the end!

  9. I know I have said this before, but just do what your tattooist says. Honestly that is the best advice, ask 8 different tattooed people how they look after their tattoos, you'll get 8 different answers!
