  2. Brand new shoulderblade piece, 4 days old. Inspired by the cedar waxwing, my favorite bird, and my grandma's pansies (she would have been 120 years old on Friday!) Tattoo by Darcy Nutt at the Richmond convention, blending in beautifully with her previous work the past two years on my SA cichlid/floral half-sleeve. I'm definitely one of Darcy's "nuts" P.S. All of Darcy's tattoos are free hand

  3. Finished off this eagle/snake with Grez a few weeks ago. Hard to get a good photo by myself! Also got this weird reaper from Chad around the same time. For the first time I'm having trouble healing red ink but it's getting there!

    Infected tattoo

Get the infection under control - your health always comes first. If you were super rigorous in your aftercare, then I find this to be super concerning. I'd let them know and never, ever go back.

    Infected tattoo

In that case it IS very unusual and I would talk to them about it. I would also never go back. In tattoos, it's one strike and you're out.

  13. A little celebration for my last day at work. My beautiful wife and daughter surprised me by meeting me at Vivid Tattoo with a cake. Sarah did her usual fast work to make this happy Kewpie doll for me. On to the next adventure! Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

  14. Yep, that piece doesn't have enough contrast. You need to learn something about what a tattoo can be and how it will last. Hang around here for a few months and you should get the idea.

    First tattoo and almost 18!

that would end up looking like a big black blob on your arm,IMO that would not transfer well to a tattoo. maybe you should wait a few years to really think about it and find a good artist. and welcome to the forum. sit and stay a while and do some reading and then do more reading here.

  16. Any motorcycle accident you walk away from is a lucky one. I spent a month in the hospital and years in PT after some day dreaming ass hole swung a quick right turn into me. Motorcycles can be replaced.

  17. Tomorrow color gets added. This was done by a local apprentice from my own drawing. It is a variation on the tarot card Three of Swords.

  21. Ended up getting tattood 2 weeks in a row, got the hourglass done by Jordyn at Classic Tattoo in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. My foot was done by Brittany at Inspiration Ink in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada. So glad both of my feet are now done. I forgot how painful that was [emoji23][emoji24][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. Got this all-seeing eye a week or so ago from my friend/artist Josh Henderson. Just something from some flash he'd been drawing. Currently saving up to finish up the sleeve on my right arm, but I was having withdrawal. Hahaha.

  23. Wizard World convention in Philadelphia this past June. Her reaction was fantastic. The photo op people and her handler all moved in to take pictures. It was put on her social media promptly. It was a much better reaction than I had gotten two weeks before when I showed Mel Brooks my tattoo of him. He was just polite about it, called it "beyooteeful", hurried me along. Nichelle Nichols and I held hands while I told her why I'd chosen her for my first portrait tattoo and declared that she wished she was that beautiful. She also treated me to an autographed publicity pic back at her table. I'd only paid for a photo op, hoping that that might parlay into getting an autograph once I showed her my proud piece. She was lovely, gracious.

    Upcoming Tattoos

Where did the latest tattoo lowdown thread go? Anyway, this past weekend was Ocktoberfest at Old Soul in Canonsburg, PA. It's a cool event where the shop invites a whole bunch of artists (like 60'ish) for the weekend. Some by appointment, some by walk-in. The trick is that everyone is queued up for a table/space to work since the shop has maybe 12 stations. The Old Souls guys have it running like clockwork...superiorly organized. You still have to wait but with the festival outside in the street and karaoke going on inside, the time flies by in no time. Nate Hudak made this for me on Saturday. He has a super light hand and is fast. Back of the left thigh.
