    Upcoming Tattoos

Going to have a 20 year tattoo covered and reworked into a new dragon this weekend. I am stoked! Since it's going to take several hours I got my artist several Monster drinks, a new Yeti cup and a Cuban cigar that just came in this week. I am 56 and enjoying getting new ink. Getting my first tattoo reworked is something I have thought about for years. A long time ago, a small group of new, young, and energetic FedEx managers took a ride to the Jade Dragon tattoo parlor in Chicago. Most of us walked out with new ink. 20 years later my first dragon is a little tired and faded. Old man is slowing down a whisker too.... Found a very talented young man, named Taylor at Evol Ink in Birmingham, AL. Very impressed by his work and attention to detail. Shop is first class. Great staff! Will be posting before and after pics this weekend.

  2. Tomorrow color gets added. This was done by a local apprentice from my own drawing. It is a variation on the tarot card Three of Swords.

    The Tattoo News

@DJDeepFried Man, that sucks. I was hoping that the tides had turned and the courts would rule differently. The Olympics are going to be very interesting in 2020 when the world's athletes and tourists arrive all tatted up.

  5. I don't know what's up with my body but the last couple of tattoos have scabbed like never before. The back of my thigh is healing albeit a lot slower than other places. It's driving me batty! It's not itchy just scabby..

  7. So, spending almost a week with your best friend whom you also have feelings for, that are not reciprocated, might not be a wise thing to do.

    Latest tattoo lowdown.....

@Gingerninja @SStu Thanks guys! The dude has a collection of 20 or so sketches of these frogs mashed ud with all kinds of cool stuff like skulls, demons, trolls, geishas etc. I swear, for a moment I was seriously tempted to just get a whole bunch of 'em! In other news, with the addition of this piece, my lower right leg is now completely done, up untill my knee. Really wanna do my knee next, to finally tie the stuff on my lower leg together with my thigh piece - but kinda contemplating that move, as I might need some surgery done in my knees in the somewhat near future..

  16. Ended up getting tattood 2 weeks in a row, got the hourglass done by Jordyn at Classic Tattoo in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. My foot was done by Brittany at Inspiration Ink in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada. So glad both of my feet are now done. I forgot how painful that was [emoji23][emoji24][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Finished off this eagle/snake with Grez a few weeks ago. Hard to get a good photo by myself! Also got this weird reaper from Chad around the same time. For the first time I'm having trouble healing red ink but it's getting there!

  20. So I'm here to revive this thread and talk about my first experience with back tattoos. I have never in my life felt so much sharp pain for such a long period of time. The back will be the hardest tattoo I ever finish and not just for the pain levels. The way muscles contract, certain spots have this anxious bad "tickle" to them, how adrenaline will betray you and run out not before your butt is done butt right in the middle of getting it done. If I ever see the other side of this tattoo experience while this forum is up I will complain on this forum all the up to and including the day I finish healing from my final session Things that happened: going into mild bodily shock, shivering and teeth chattering for no reason, having stretch marks put in me from tattoo artist fighting muscle tightening, adrenaline running out while my butt is being tattooed, adrenaline running out after 2 hours during a 5 hour session, flying home on hot thighs overnight from the other coast. Things that didn't happen: quitting, having a good time, smiling about any of it, any variety of talking with my artist
