I have one old music inspired tattoo.

This one of Highway 61 is inspired, in part, by music. Dylan; blues highway ect... although it's also inspired by road trips and the connection between northern MN and the Mississippi River. I also have a guitar with roses that Mario Desa made one me and a steal your face (grateful dead symbol) that I got in Vegas. My tattoo of red hot chili peppers is not inspired by music- that one is inspired by my love of hot peppers.

I'm curious to see if there are others in here who have gotten tattoos dedicated to their favourite bands, singers, artists or just inspired by music in general? I love music, especially metal and rock. So my second tattoo was heavily inspired by the band Tool and their.. wierd artwork. It's been 7 years since I got this tattoo, but I still feel like it needs something more added to it. Just haven't gotten to it yet, I guess. The pic is from the day I got it if I recall correct. Didn't have a healed pic and couldn't be arsed to take one now, so I snagged this from my Facebook. It's not as crisp ofcourse, but it's still in pretty decent shape (thank god for SPF 50). Show me yours, there must be some in here :)

Yeah, if that starts feeling warm you very well might have an infection. At that point quit waiting and see a doctor.

Several of mine are either music related or have a second layer band meaning. Think face to face and Dropkick in particular...

Yes and yes. 2 good friends have been to him and their tattoos are amazing. One in particular had a tattoo re-done/re-worked by him and I've seen the before and after pictures so I'm very excited.

A tattoo is an injury to your skin. Everyone will react and heal a bit differently. Other factors can come into play too. Like I am slightly allergic to cats so if my cat rubs up against a fresh tattoo it gets a little more irritated than when I am able to keep him away from it.

Hey everyone To cut a long story short, I'm booked in tomorrow with another artist to have it re-done. He's going to cover all the colour with black and shades of grey, add shading to the bare bits and make the whole thing more realistic looking. Well that's the plan anyway. It didn't grow on me sadly... every time I look at it I like it less and less. The final nail in the coffin was some smart arse saying that the roses looked like Captain America's shield. So of course, now that's ALL I can see
