  2. Everyone is different, but it generally takes 6 months for a full heal. Give it time.

  3. Is it just the picture or do you have some suntan on your arm in the second picture? Remember that you have a layer of skin cells now regrown over your tattoo and that will change the appearance - and if it is tanned it will change it even more. Certainly, our bodies all react differently to the ink injected during tattooing and one's skin pigment will affect the colors to some degree. I had problems with red ink - my body seemed to absorb it in places so it took some touch up and I still have a few small places where it's not as saturated...but tattoos aren't perfect, they're handmade art.

  4. Maybe they need to be watered more often?

  5. Tattoo looks totally fine and seems to be healing very well. The lightening of the colors is totally normal as the ink is now under a layer of new skin. Looks totally and completely normal.

    Hello. Is this healing badly?

I've been putting loads of sunscreen on it since we've been getting a lot of sun the past few weeks. I am coming to understand and accept that tattoos are inherently imperfect and with that perspective I am learning to love mine for what it is, instead of what I wanted it to be. Also I did some reading and I think I'm still in the phase of healing where there is a layer of dead skin over the tattoo since it still feels raised and looks cloudy. I'm hoping when the healing is 100% done some of the original color and sharpness will rise to the surface. Thanks for all the helpful advice!

  8. You're last sentence of you're op says "And how likely is it that even those areas can still be turned green?" So you do want peoples opinions on it. We all know that tattoos don't change colors all by themselves. People that don't want opinions on things don't post to forums. When you post things like this you essentially are asking people to take time from their lives to respond and attempt to help someone out with whatever the post is about. Then when everyone tells you that you're tattoo looks great as is, and you post that you're still not happy....that leave you with 2 choices...live with it or get it colored how you want it. But please don't waste our time with additional complaining.

  9. Go get it colored green then. Clearly you didn't really want our opinions.

    Greetings and Salutations!

Might just be the photo, but I don't think any of those colors look saturated. Is that from a professional shop?

  11. agreed. would look bland with just green.

  12. Occam's Razor says: she put some brown in it. It would need to be recolored to make it all green. Which honestly seems like a lot of trouble to go through for a less realistic result. Leaves sometimes have other colors in them and her putting some brown in adds more depth to the piece. I would leave it but if you really hate it, let it settle in some more before you get her or someone else to touch it up.

  13. Welcome! As Dan said you're going through normal healing - and it can take up to 6 months to fully heal. Have you talked to your artist about your concerns?

    Hello. Is this healing badly?

looks like a normal healing for what it is to me,that's what happens to tattoos, they NEVER again look like they did the day they were applied. and also this new "water color" style does not hold up as well as bold saturated colors with outlines.

  15. That dude does real nice work.I remember seeing his stuff when he was only tattooing a few years, and it was good. You know he started out in NH,and he does travel to the east coast to do conventions and guest spots. There's a lot of talented tattooers in Portland.I got tattooed by Jerry Ware@ Atlas Tattoo :: Portland, Oregon They have some real good tattooers there too. What are you thinking of getting from Ryan?

  16. Holy shit! Curse my human typing fingers and forgetful brain. Any discussion about who needs more recognition should include Mike the Athens. Mike The Athens - Mahashakti His stuff always blows me away.

  18. Derrick Snodgrass and Jason Mcaffe. Both of those dudes make great tattoos and they seem to be able to work in any style.
