    Hello

I don't think I'd be going back to that artist/shop.

  3. Never, ever get another tattoo. They are made by humans, and they are imperfect. There is nothing wrong with your tattoo, but you have convinced yourself there is. I don't know what to tell you other than do NOT get another tattoo. For your own sanity.

    Hello

Is it even healed? It doesn't look like it. Also, don't go back there.

  5. Here's a side-by-side of my first tattoo about a week into healing (it was so icky then...) and today, two and a half months after I got it. The pupil of the eye took what felt like forever to heal - I am not a patient person. The color is now a perfect even color. Next to the new tattoo I got today it's slightly faded, but in two months they'll both match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. It turned out nice! Now just rock it and go with it. You can either own the tattoo and be kinda happy. Or don't own it and always be unhappy with it. I say own it and rock it.

  7. Quit overthinking it. It's a nice piece. Don't ruin it for yourself. My artist told me very early on that if you look at any tattoo long enough you'll find something wrong with it. Enjoy your tattoo, it's a nice tribute to your grandfather.

  8. Started this little guy the other day! Popped into one of my favorite shops for their walk-in Saturdays and my artist Jordyn came up with this to match my left shin which is a fox sitting in a rose. Go back for color on June 15th! The angle is kinda wonky in the second picture, it's hard to get a straight on shot of your own shins when you don't have a mirror! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hello

Has the artist/shop done anything to make good on their use of contaminated ink? Are you sure they no longer use that product or was the contamination because of poor hygiene practices? Are they charging you for this work?

  10. I have very sensitive skin and the DR said the ointment may also be a bad batch. But now everything is normal after switching products. There have been other cases in the past few months with the same issue with the Aquaphor. My healing process is normal and the scanning from the yellow ink is also normal it's just my skin sensitivity. Thank you you all for the help

  11. Thanks for the response, guys. What I meant was that I asked for a mostly black tattoo, but she ended up showing me more of a watercolor type - but I do love it. I feel like it has a lot more character to it because she created it using her natural style rather than forcing it to look more like what I showed her. I was hesitant to attach a pic at first, because she seemed to hesitate when I asked if I could take a pic, but I guess since it'll be on my skin eventually, she probably won't mind. She's an artist at Nevermore in NWA and I'm super excited to have her work on me. She seems great!

    New tattoo looks faded

Let it heal. It will look milky and faded for a while. That is part of healing.

  13. Added some colour today the black isn't perfect in a couple of areas so might need a touch up. Also I've got to pick colours for the other koi and the peonies suggestions welcome. I'm thinking possibly yellow for the koi kind of like the old school colour schemes.

    Norse forearm tattoo

If I were you, I'd probably simple it down a bit. The ideas you have listed are, in my opinion, plenty for a full sleeve. So if you want to start with the forearm only, I'd probably just get a nice, big Hel/Freyja or Fenris wolf - and then some forest/sky/thunderstorms/something around it. The wolf on the forearm and a big goddess portrait on the upper arm would make a really cool full sleeve, but I think it would be too crammed with it all on a forearm. Something like this is a pretty cool way to incorporate different motifs into one tattoo - but again, personally I would get a piece like that in a bigger spot than a forearm. I'm not a tattooer, though - so maybe your tattooer will have a different opinion :)

    Not loving new tattoo

I think your tattoo looks decent, maybe a little too much "empty space" between the flowers for my liking, but hey. I can understand that if you imagined realistic looking flowers this is a disappointment. The first tattoo I got I'm not really that happy about. It's a skull with some sunrays around it on my back. It's kinda big, between my shoulderblades and stretching up and down a bit, so I'm not really sure about what do with it. Cover up is an option, lasering is also an option I guess. The rays are red and yellow, does colors pose a bigger challenge for lasers?

    Not loving new tattoo

I have a tattoo that I still don't love, but I don't hate it anymore, because someone here gave me the best possible advice. If you live with it for a while and your feelings never change (because sometimes it takes a while to get used to them, I suppose), then: Get more tattoos. I surrounded it with something by another tattooer that I love. He made his framing of it work with what it was, and now I don't hate it. I still wish I'd gotten something else there and listened to my gut instincts when I saw the stencil on, but I also learned a whole lot about a whole lot of things as a result of getting a tattoo I didn't like, so I guess it's as much a part of the experience as any of my other tattoos now. Maybe more. (Weirdly, a lot of people tell me it's their favorite of my tattoos. I cannot fathom why, but it just goes to show you -- you never know.) FWIW, I think it's nice!

  17. Not an expert but I don't see anything bad about it. It's a nice design and looks cleanly done. What exactly do you hate about it?
