Scored a walkin and got my knees framed by Jay Watkins at Spider Murphy's. Stole the photo from his Instagram8 points -
Husband went back to get more work done Wednesday. His artist is now transitioning to doing mainly nipple tattoos in a medical center for breast cancer survivors. He will not be in the shop full time now, it will be more a part time (sounded *very* part time) side job, so my husband was frantic, wondering how he'd get his leg finished and what he would do for continued work in other areas and the artist was like Nah, now I just get to pick and choose what I want to do-and I want to do this, so you'll never have a problem getting in to see me! The dragon will go on the calf and he's going to run it over the front of his leg, like his knee and bottom of his thigh there...I burst out laughing when he came home and told me that.3 points

Mine was six months ago, at 28. I got the fever as last summer started in Chicago, when you start to see visible skin after many months of hibernation in coats, and I was really jealous of everyone's tattoos. I would creepily stare at people's ink in public (smooth). It occurred to me that I could just get some myself. I got a hibiscus with a little shamrock next to it. I'm half Puerto Rican, half Irish. I felt like I needed to do something "meaningful" for my first, which I now regard as a little silly but I do love it. The tattooer did a great job and hibiscus is my favorite flower. Wish this pic isn't so dark - it's about a month healed here.2 points

Thanks, @iowagirl! I'm really very pleased with how it turned out. I reckon I will do something similar on the other foot. Josh Henderson is pretty much in charge once I tell him my idea. He'll come up with something great to complement the other foot, I bet. You are a crazy nut to do both feet in one go! My foot is just now starting to look like a foot again. It looked basically like a slab of ham for the first few days. Brutal. Still so happy I did it, though.1 point

the tattoo looks great though hun, now you do realize that your feet are uneven now and you will have to get the other one done too ! LOL1 point

Oh how my leg has changed in just a few short months. I think my next move will be to cap my other knee. Then I need to work on the back sides. I'm too front-heavy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
