Mine is the crazy ass spaceman head. It was from the sheet Steve painted for this years event.

I went and had an absolute blast! Drove from Minnesota, waited in line and got tattooed by Steve Byrne. The folks at Great Lakes are the real deal and I can't wait until next year. IG is blocked here at work so I can't snag the picture, but it's on Steve's page.

I did, @Gingerninja! Ended up doing my knee and some gap filler, too. Still red, angry and swollen right now, so I'll post pictures as soon as it's healed.

on that note, i have somewhat of a portrait of my mom. it's not realism and it's not an exact portrait, but a rendition. not sure if this counts for the contest!? It was done by Jill Bonny in 2008.

So this wasn't a "latest tattoo" but it was a recent experience in a tattoo shop.... Last night, I was fortunate enough to attend a very informal, intimate get-together in Shanghai Kate's backyard. Kate had Lyle Tuttle and Jacci Gresham spending the day with her. It was absolutely unreal to sit and chat with these folks. As someone who is very into the history of tattooing, it was like stepping into a time machine.

I have typically kept mine on for 5 days and then take it off in the shower or sink. Slowly. Peeling backwards, not up and with generous amounts of water and cetaphil soap to loosen the seal. Looks like you may have had a bit of sensitivity to the adhesive, but the tattoos look great. I don't think you have anything to worry about. The last time I used tegaderm the removed film looked like a stained glass rendering of the tattoo and the tattoo healed great. So don't worry too much about some flakes coming off. I think that's normal. I will take mine off in the shower tomorrow morning. My fingers are crossed!! My third time using this stuff, but very first leg tattoo

I just removed my second pieces if saniderm from my 4 new tattos today. The second piece has been left on for 4 days including the day I removed the first piece and applied the second. Fairly painful removal, and some flakes came off premature, and you can see the areas that are "wet". No bleeding, just "wet" areas. (pictured. You can see it in the black on my eyeball guy) Very tender. Does this mean I took it off too early, that I removed the derm to violently, or that I left it on too long? Whatis the goal with derms? Are they supposedto just negate scabbing and beremoved before it flakes up, or is it supposed to heal 100%, no flaking? Also, especially on my arm, there are areas where the adhesive didnt come off, and a sticky film was left on, clinging to my sleeve. I hardly had this problem on my leg, but allot on my arm. (pictured. The black areas are where the adhesive stuck to my tshirt) Also on my arm are places where the skin apears sunburnt. Not sure whats up with that.
