I booked my flight and my stay in San Jose, I have the consultation date, I have the deposit; I'm coming for you Horitomo. March better get here fast so I can get this process started! I will probably say something similar after the consultation when I set my appointment to start.

Made another Oslo trip last week to start a cover up on my lower stomach. While i was there i picked up a namakubi from Nicholas at Blue Arms. The cover up is ongoing and i don't mind admitting i'm very apprehensive about the next session! This was not a fun tattoo to get although Marius did his best to keep my spirits up and a visit from LST's own Mr @Iwar definitely kept me distracted from the significant pain!

Ongoing piece. When it's done it will start at my ankle and connect to my chest piece. It's a tiger and samurai on my leg and dragon on my ribs/stomach. Just outline and shading so far on the dragon. We decided to work our way up.

@Gingerninja - solid advice there. Lynn and I follow the same guidelines. Sometimes, your priorities and likes don't match up. Knowing not to push is crucial to a strong and stable relationship.

No at all but try to make sure her energy is good! Don't put any pressure on her and don't get in a fight about it. Give her a true, loving option to opt out. Like no harm, no foul, it's-all-good-option. If she doesn't take the out, then she needs to be love and good energy to your appointment. @sipes23 I do this all the time with my hubby when there's something that I want to do (and love) doesn't match up with his headspace. Be kind, compassionate and honest about what you'd like to share with her. If it's a good match, great. If not, accept it graciously and move on. My two cents.

Thanks for the warm welcome :) I don't have specific restriction for the tattoo, locations and things like that but I would like it to be somehow visible for me atleast ( the meaning of it is pretty motivational xD ). I do however want a design like that ( the shape(s) is what mostly matters ). If you are interested in the origins of it google : "Digimon crests". Feel free to let your imagination run wild tho :). As for a second tattoo I didn't think about that a lot, will probably happen when there is again something really meaningful to me that I want to paint on myself, so no need to worry too much about that. @Tornado7 Interestingly enough, I was actually born in 1996 xD @sipes23 I live in a rather small city ( around 500k people ) and it's the biggest city around here. I will choose an artist that I trust but there aren't many around :(

I recently got this cute eagle filler by Ruby Quilter at Sang Bleu. It's a different style to my other tattoos but fits perfectly in the gap.

I will say one more thing about price. Have you ever bought something -- say, a coffeemaker, and you wanted the more expensive one but you couldn't justify it so you went with the cheaper one, until that one broke, so you went back and bought the more expensive one, which is what you should have done in the first place? Well, it's just like that, except with a tattoo you can't just get rid of the old one and forget about it; you have to pay someone way more money to burn the flesh off your arm for hours and hours and hours.

I would have to agree that the search engine on this site leaves a lot to be desired. I started a post asking what is the longest people have sat for a session and then was notified that there was already a thread about that. Thing is, I searched for that topic first, in a few different ways and nothing turned up. - - - Updated - - - of course now I tried it and it made a liar out of me.

Last winter i was able to see Dan higgs perform at Robert ryan's studio/apartment in Asbury park. At the time, I was staying at my dad's place in Bradley beach, a town away, so I walked over about a half hour before the show and got there before anyone else had really shown up. I went upstairs and entered this dark apartment illuminated only by candlelight, hazy with incense, decorated with eastern deities and inhabited solely by Bink himself, who was prepping for the show, and three huddled masses sitting in a circle in a shadowy corner, conversing and sharing a joint. I didn't recognize the two facing me, being of the traveller/hippie variety, but I recognized the voice of the bearded, sunglassed man sitting with his back to me as he said "and that's not when I SAW yellow, but I FELT yellow..." I said to myself, "I don't do nearly enough drugs to get this shit", and i went and sat down by myself in the opposite corner. That's my higgs story
