Just joined today and I'm in the process of getting a cover up. So far I've had three sessions totalling 18 hours. I think one more should do it. Just need to fill in all of the ripped skin...

  11. You know, I've been wanting to get that Sailor Jerry skull and crossbones/heart tattoo for a while now. After seeing how cool it looks on you I just might have to now, as if I didn't have enough skulls already

  13. Scott did a burning candle in a coffin with a blue rose in the same amount of time on me. Double time with that guy. I didn't feel a thing, either.

  14. my first back piece session was linework by Chad Koepligner and Jondix. They both work super fast, which means they were ripping into me pretty good. It was painful as F*** and there are fewer breaks. usually, you get the breather when your artist is dipping, wiping, or thinking. in the case of having multiple artists, one artist's break is the other's prime time. I posted about it here, in the collaboration thread: here's some video evidence: the appearance of the one session where they both worked on me simultaneously turned out just fine.

  15. The fact that it is older and a bit faded will indeed assist in blending in with black and grey around it. More roses, and bury a skull in there somewhere. Nice name by the way . . .

  17. 3.5 hours put in today by Tim and I. We covered a lot of ground, outlining my entire arm. the ditch of my arm wasn't awesome. Unfortunately for me theres an oni head right there so its going to seeing a lot more abuse. The atmosphere at atlas is rad, theres absolutely zero ego floating around. Everyones interested in what their peers are doing. Stoked to head back next week.

    Lady Heads

@Gingerninja Who's doing yours in March? A friend of mine got a Conn girl back in August just before he moved to Germany, and it's stunning. Throwing it in here.

  20. If you want Japanese style, then you have a plethora of options at the shops listed @Hands On! Garver, Rubendall, Beech, RG, Damien R, Matt Beckerich. Interestingly, Matt Adamson is starting full time at Kings this month and you may be able to get in with him quicker than any of the folks listed above for neo-traditional. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Grez... Here's my peony by Rubendall. Good luck!

  21. Here are several of my American traditional tattoos. All by Joshua Henderson, except for the monkey with the skull. That one is Richard Stell. (Sorry I didn't crop out the non-AT tattoos.)

Got my first leg tattoo by Victor J Webster @ East River Tattoo in NYC yesterday. It's his interpretation of the Bakunawa, the Philippine mythical dragon which devours the moon and causes lunar eclipses.

    Ink Masters

Agreed. If they want to crown a "black and grey" ink master, have a competition for it, and if a contestant tries to sneak a colorful new school through - no matter if it is a bad tattoo or not - eliminate them! An "Ink Master" should be able to handle any style, and without talking the customer into having it placed on an easier spot. I wonder if they spent an hour with the cameraman for each show filming coy looks from Ryan to insert here and there. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using Tapatalk

  33. your tattoo is alive brotha - its not art hanging on your skin - it is your skin - anything and everything that can and will damage you - like living - can also have the same impact on your tattoo - stop thinking so hard - live your life and enjoy this shit
