  2. I got this from my childhood friend Siggy (@siggystarfishtattoo) today. I saw the flash year and a half ago but having been on the opposite side of the world it didn't happen until now. So stoked!

  4. @9Years @suburbanxcore. I knew I wanted either a Rock of ages or like that Ed hardy drawing of the tattooed tiger, we talked about combining the two into something wild and this is what came out of the walttron4000s brain. A little bit different than what we planned initially but I'm so stoked on it so far.

  5. @9Years I started drafting an imaginary consultation discussion ("hey, lemme get a jesus on the cross backpiece, but give him boobs and a panther head"), but every time I look at that tattoo I see something else new. I can't wait to see that as it progresses. Walter has some really awesome prints on Raking Light Projects right now that I almost bought. Went with a Freddy Jesus head, but may still scoop one up.

  9. I would agree that Martin Lacasse is absolutely killer at everything he does. A real tattooers tattoo and criminally underrated in either traditional or Japanese. Pretty much everyone in that shop (Jay Goldberg, Gus, Johnny Gues, Scott Smith, etc) would knock out a traditional piece like that. Check out @oldecitytattoo on IG. They don't post a ton, but you can follow to each artist and check em out. Topper at Eddies does great work, as mentioned. I love most of what Pat Haney does. He's a little slicker than what you may be looking for, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with him. He's also opened up a new shop that's a little farther from where you're mentioning, but nothing crazy. Dave Fox is out in the suburbs now. His name isn't the first that comes to mind for this style, but traditional stuff is really underrated. He doesn't put a lot of it out there, but it's solid. Aaron Francione seems fine (I'm not too familiar with him), but I'm just not much of a fan of a lot of what Seven Swords is doing. Although I did recently see a Carlos Perez lady head that I liked.

  10. Well, here's my latest piece by Brian Tiger at Screamin' Ink Tattoo in N.J., still a few hours fresh. Unfinished, I hit the wall after 5 hours. I'll be going back to color it in in 2 weeks. Sorry for the bad picture...it's not easy taking good pics of yourself. P.S. If it looks slightly crooked it's not, it's just from stretching my arm to take picture.

    Lyric tattoos

i like the idea of having images representing song lyrics instead of having the lyrics themselves that said, i also have "imagine" in John Lennon's handwriting on my wrist.

  14. Sorry, I couldn't resist, the intense worries about moisturising kinda reminds me of: But in all seriousness, you really don't need to moisturise every day, especially the back, where skin is usually not dry at all. I use a lotion on my tattoos only when they get irritated (by clothes or something) or when I lotion whole body after bath, which is no often than once in two weeks or so.
