    Snake and Celtic cover up

Snake has now become a raven. 7hrs today - the collarbone stuff was a stinger for sure. Talking of which, done by Guerra Stinger of Extreme Tattoo, Inverness. Another couple of hours to come adding some colourful flowers and more leaves. I like it! Now need shower and bed...

  3. Well, here's my latest piece by Brian Tiger at Screamin' Ink Tattoo in N.J., still a few hours fresh. Unfinished, I hit the wall after 5 hours. I'll be going back to color it in in 2 weeks. Sorry for the bad picture...it's not easy taking good pics of yourself. P.S. If it looks slightly crooked it's not, it's just from stretching my arm to take picture.

  14. I was definitely unable to contain myself the last two months. -Dan Sinnes scribbled on this locust yokai at Temple. I'm so pumped on how it came together. He posted a photo of the draw on for hilarity. -Valerie Vargas did the Oni/Gorilla fight on my arm at the Bay convention. I liked the idea of the eastern/western imagery clashing. My right arm is all american traditional patchwork and my left is semi-american traditional style patchwork with Japanese imagery. This has already healed ridiculously well. Henning did the namakubi at the Bay convention. I had been waiting a few years to catch Henning at the convention when he had space from his larger works and this was the year. This is absolutely one of my favorite tattoo's. My girlfriend is definitely not as pumped. I'm blown away by his skill and kindness.

  16. Since I've only been getting tattooed since 2014, I think everybody has seen most of these recently, so it feels a little bit weird to submit them again so soon, haha. But I do have some pieces taken from very classic flash! I'm not sure that I ever posted all of them, anyway. All but the last one were done by Greg Whitehead, but I'm looking forward to getting more one-offs like this soon from other people! The shoulder-area bird was my first tattoo, and it's a Percy Waters design. The snake in a flower pot is based on Dietzel flash, the diving girl is a Jensen piece and was actually sort of a filler, the elbow butterfly/rose is...uhh, actually, I'm not 100% sure. Someone said it was Jensen, but I don't remember if that's true. I remember Greg saying that it came from a whole lot of flash from the early 1900s that used to be attributed to a mystery artist, but was later identified as belonging to someone specific...I just can't for the life of me remember who it was. The lady with a snake is a Cap Coleman design, and I love her to bits. The last one was Christopher Ayalin at Liberty, and I got it when I went on a fun tattoo day trip with @beez. A lot of people do flower/snake/dagger stuff, so I dunno...Jensen-ish? I guess? Aside from the color I guess it's still pretty classic traditional subject matter. And now you have seen like half of my tattoos all at once!

  18. I would recomend a scientific approach to finding out if this happens. The first step is to have a professional topographical survey done of the two full sleeves on both your arms. After that you will have to keep close track of any impacts that your arm's sustain. The g-force measuring equipment is heavy and hot, but in the name of science I feel you should person-up and wear it for the cause. Finally after each impact above the small bump level (impact force in kilonewtons as yet to be defined) you will need to re-survey both your two full sleeves on both your arms daily, perhaps twice, to look for fading. External variables, such as light exposure and aging will be hard to account for, but hopefully the measuring equipment will provide some sun protection. Best of luck in this scientific endeavor! I salute your bravery and willingness to devote your life to the furthering of our tattoo longevity factor knowledge.

  19. Palm/Lightning Bolt are 12years old, Turtle is 11, Shark is 7, Octopus is 6 ... :) it's almost time to start thinking about filling in those open spots on the back of the calf. blast in solid bright-ass yellow in the bad brains bolt. maybe a mini-beach scene inside the palm tree. likely going to blast over the red-yellow rising sun. also thinking of getting the turtle redone (by the same tattooer Miles Kanne) in the next few years. I'm keeping the blue water, how Y2K-Canadian of me
