  2. That Thomas Hooper skull is MEGA... @SStu You've got my vote! Two entries from me: 1) 7 headed cobra and skull by Uncle Allan, about 2 years healed in this pic. 2) Tiger and wind-skull by Tim Lehi, healed a few months in this photo.

    Upcoming Tattoos

Booked in with Marius Meyer in the beginning of february. Been putting it of for years, but now is the time! Told him I would be getting a dragon, but I might get something else. Doesn't really matter, as everything he does is perfect.

  5. Hi there - welcome! I hope that today is a less anxious day for you. Deep breaths. :) This forum has amazing, very successful and professional people who are tattooed. Remember, it's your body and you can choose to decorate it anyway that you please. If someone is going to judge you for having a tattoo, that tells you more about *them* than you. Some will understand, some won't...and that's OKAY. Not everyone knows that I'm tattooed which is MY choice. It's super interesting to watch people react...I know exactly who they are, how they operate and how to deal with them after they know/see my work. It's a fantastic 'tell'. Most of the time they don't know that I watch them react, then adapt to their reactions. :)

  6. welcome ! post tattoo remorse is a common and real feeling,I have had it many times, and I still get it to this day ! IMO it's a "buyers remorse" in a way. my post tattoo remorse is always about the money not the tattoo though, LOL but it always quickly goes away after a week or so,then I start planning my next one ! LOL you're screwed now ! it's an addiction worse then any drug ! but WAY better ! my addiction started in 1985 and has only gotten worse ! P.S. that's the beauty of "tattoo remorse" ! what's done is done, and it's on you,so love it,like it,live with it,try and learn ,and go on to the next one.

  7. Welcome to the forum. Lots of great people and advice to be had here! Both of mine are in places where they can be covered by short sleeves so I haven't had the same experience. I do have many people who work for me who have visible tattoos...and it has had no impact on how they are perceived at work. Hopefully, your experiences will be the same. As you get more confident, you can always test the waters with friends and trusted colleagues and then expand your "circle" beyond them.

  12. You know, I was just about to post my wisdom tooth story. Around three months ago I had the absolute worst pain I've ever experienced. It felt like my head was in a vice that got tighter every hour. Turned out I had a horizontally impacted lower wisdom tooth that got abscessed. Had it removed, couldn't eat for a week. After it healed, a week later the other one started hurting. Had IT removed, got dry socket (look it up...damn Marlboro reds) couldn't eat for a week and a half. Now that familiar dull pain is starting up again...my surgery's at 9:50 am. Removing the last two at the same time. Thank god it's over. TL;DR Wisdom teeth suck.

  13. It is probably not going to affect your career. I work in the brokerage industry, and it is not an issue. I just have to wear pants suits or opaque hose. In general, my colleagues are interested in my tattoos.

  14. I think I might have felt this way many moons ago, but now I can't stop. Don't worry about it. You'll get used to it. I have an office job in a great company, and no one is bothered by my tattoos.

  15. welcome to LST and to the world of being a tattooed person! It sounds like your experience so far has already triggered you to self-assess a bit. Perhaps there has always been a tsunami inside of you and this external change has magnified it or forced you to pay attention to it. Now you get to learn to control and harness it. Check out this short, yet meaningful thread, if you haven't already: https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/t/5645-cool-stuff-youve-learnedgotten-intoetc-thanks-to-getting-tattooed/?page=1

  16. i'm not sure if these falls into the "Do Not" section of the LST Guidelines, https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/guidelines/ I'd say, if that shop posts an opening for a shop assistant... apply! it doesn't matter how much you wanna work at the shop if they don't need you. in the meantime, keep getting tattooed there!

Thanks. Going back in on the 19th for a full day sitting - update pics after that. Hope we can successfully sort out the bleed at the top but I'm hopeful it will be cool. Guerra's stuff is pretty cool. I want the Raven to have the feel of this hand piece he did. Neo trad is his thing.

  22. In that case I'll submit my other skull as well, because why not? This one was done by Mario Desa when he was still at Chicago Tattoo Co., back in 2011-12. The photo is a couple of years old, but the tattoo was a few years healed at that point.

    Your First Tattoo

My first tattoo was a little broken heart with a small rose I got straight from a flashbook when I was 14. I was shopping for clothes in the city with my mom and mentioned I wanted a tattoo. We walked straight from the mall to a tattooshop and picked something out. The original was a normal heart, but I asked for a broken one because I was "emo". Later I had some more rose added around it when I was 16. And then a (really, really badly done) girl shooting herself through the head with crows flying out, behind it when I was 17. At 20 I finally got some sense and had the whole thing covered and started getting good tattoos. :')

    Your First Tattoo

I got my first about six months ago...a month shy of my 61st birthday. Got my second last Saturday. After many years of finding excuses not to do it, I finally decided it was time to make it happen. Where do I go from here? I have no clue...but you never know.
