  3. I hope he comes back sometime soon. I had the chance to briefly talk with him when this video was taken and he was really cool. I'm a nobody, just some guy who likes tattoos, and he was really friendly and down to earth, and he was super interested in my tattoos and asked all sorts of questions about them. I thought it was great to meet somebody who has been involved with tattoos for pretty much his entire life and he still clearly loves them so much and still gets excited about them.

Annie Frenzel emailed me back last night! I hope, hope, hope we can get something worked out. It'll be my first tattoo in a year and maybe one of my only tattoos of the year. Going to get a battle babe if things work out.

  13. Wasup Everyone. Ive used tegaderm on about 5 of my tattoos to date and love the product. I keep the initial saran wrap from the studio on overnight roughly 16 hours allowing most excess plasma and gunk to come out. I then wash the tattoo with unscented soap making sure it is completely clean/ no longer slippery from the soap or bodily fluids. I then dam the tatto with clean bounty paper to take off any additional water. Now I allow it to air dry for 2 hours or so. Now its time to apply the tegaderm. For this important step I like to naturally extend (NOT stretch) whatever skin the tegaderm is going to be applied on. If the tattoo is say on your bicep you should straighten your arm downward rather then having it curled because the skin is naturally much tighter in this position. I do it this way because after it is applied the tegaderm will crinkle a bit while you in your natural resting position and will stretch enough when you are stretching that limb. Not doing it this way will limit your range of motion, cause the tegaderm to loose adhesion all together or cause some really nasty rashes on the un-tattood skin. After it is applied I personally leave it alone for 4 days. On the fourth day I shower in warm water allowing the tegaderm adhesion to become soft allowing easier removal. From here I wash it a minimum of 2 times a day applying a very small amount of lotion with clean hands whenever I feel it getting a little dry. Whew... Feel like im rambling on. Just giving my personal experience using the product but this will not apply to everyone. A short video on how to remove and apply.

    Ink Masters

Ooops. Sorry for the spolier!! I set the DVR to record it....and then decided to watch it anyway. My wife even watched it, too. She said she liked it - but hated the many commercials for horror movies. Lynn's idea of a suspense-filled thriller is any Doris Day movie.

    Ink Masters

Did anyone else watch the Season 8 premier of Ink Masters last night? Team Peck's first pick was Ryan Ashley Malarkey - she is a local artist here in my area. And, just to make me feel old, she went to high school with one of my nieces. I actually checked her booking schedule about a month ago - closed until sometime late fall to begin booking for next year.

  19. I doubt it. From what understand, it only appears on the edge because thats where its pulling on the skin the most, and the friction caused by the constand pulling is what causes blisters. Bacteria doesnt cause blisters from what I understand, but a broken blister is a good opportunity for bacteria to get in.

  21. I'm going to suggest a Saturday pre-convention brunch as an LST meetup if anybody is interested. I have an appointment right when the convention opens at 11, and my kid has an appointment for a vaccination in the morning, so it will have to be early-ish, like 9-9:30 near my place, which is a quick metro ride away (about ten minutes) from the convention. Let me know if you're interested and I'll make a group reservation. We can always grab a drink or a coffee at the convention too.

  28. Thought I'd wade in and post a few hand tattoos I've done. Top two are fresh, bottom is healed. I LOVE tattooing hands! Which is really ironic because I used to hate drawing them. I used to want to be a fashion designer but I'd draw all the models with their hands behind their backs just to avoid it! I love Guen Douglas's, Xam and Ebony Mellowship 's tattooed hands.

  29. Took the tegaderm off this afternoon. I put it on Sunday midday and took it off wednesday midday. Looks great! Fairly painless removal, paper thin flakes. The only issue is I have big cutout areas where my skin got irritated by the tegaderm, but strangely its only on my upper thigh. Im guessing these are friction blisters. Im going to guess they will scar. Thank god they arent on the tattoo.

I have this hand holding a snake by El Monga. This is his picture from when it was fresh (September 2013), but it's better than any picture I've managed to get of it. Not sure if I've ever posted this on LST, actually.
