deified my shin a bit with Eddy Deutsche on friday, been waiting for this one a while, stoked! What a great dude Eddy is, and totally mesmerizing to watch him work.
Session 2 with Steve Moore. Another 3 hours into the back. He wasn't lying that the lining was more painful than shading. But the shading is still pretty bad haha
It's been awhile - I've just gotten organised to finish my arm sleeve in March (not looking forward to the ditch/ elbow) but super stoked to be done!
Added a leg tattoo this winter - Alice illustration done by Jennifer Bowes at the Pearl in Toronto - I must say the thigh is a total pleasure after the inner arm experience!
I don't have a pic yet, but Horitomo of state of Grace outlined and detailed my 2/3 sleeve dragon on Sat. It is wonderful - actually looks like lace (I'm female and I guess he made the lines delicate because of that)! Makes me almost - almost - not want it colored in. When it is healed a bit, I'll see if I can get a pic of this stage.
My advice is to stick around here searching threads and let it all soak in. I came here 5 years ago with similar story, I wanted B&G large scale intricate tattoos. Well turns out I was just searching for a reason to be tattooed (something that meant something to me) when all along I just really liked tattoos and 95% of what I get will have no meaning at allother than being badass, cool or beautiful to me
I've heard a little bit about blue lotus and it seems like there's a lot if mixed reviews. A good one in Madison is iron quill. It's kinda new but I've heard pretty good things. Pete at rockstar has done my last 4 pieces and will be doing another one early march.
+1
"Get a dragon" is the correct answer to any tattoo question.
Question: "I have too many dragons, what should I get next?"
Answer: "Get another dragon!"
Not sure where to put this, and maybe it's already been posted- but check out this event at Great Lakes Tattoo coming up in March. Please go and make it a success so they keep doing it every year because- fuck yeah!!

I always ask for a ball park figure and then take the maximum amount mentioned (plus a little more just in case). I have usually ended up paying the top end however I've been pleasantly surprised more. When I price my own tattoos I do it by size. Pricing art is really very hard but at the stage in at I find it evens out. I usually end up doing my own designs a bit cheaper as I'm happy to do them and I can put them in my portfolio. I will however change the price if a client moves the goalposts, as I think this is only fair. (ie.I'll drop the price if the design is simplified)

Tony Hundahl eye/flames filler on my elbow. Works great together with the Lehi tattoo I think. Never too much flames, hehe.. Tattoo from Saturday last week, photo from today:
