  3. Damn, nobody is disappointing! Got this little one from Andy Perez at the new shop Allied in Bushwick when I was back a couple months ago visiting. Bad cell phone picture, but you get the idea. First one above the collar, d'oh!

  4. Got this done at White Tiger Tattoo in Webster, New York by Pamela Carol. It's a great horned owl tail feather done in black and grey realism. Got this because owls are one of my favorite animals and for some personal reasons as well. So happy with the way it turned out!

  5. THIS THREAD WAS SO FUN! I've missed so much.. Lil panther guy by Mario Desa on my right, and on my left I've got a sleeve-background-skin triangle where a little "Mom" heart lives. That actually says, Ma. No photo of that one though.

  9. My last 2 tattoos were done on Jan 3 & Tegaderm was used wich I never experienced before....I will say that this stuff is awesome and I will never go back to the old school way lol definitely better healing wise just simply amazing. Plus it was nice to be able to continue on with normal everyday living the 3days I had it on and not worry. I got myself a roll of Saniderm for future tattoos.

  10. Thanks! I am eternally grateful to Aron for rescuing my back...the lotus tattoo was actually originally a little crooked and the two symbols under the crows interrupted great real estate, so I am so glad he was up for the challenge and could turn it into something so awesome :)

  21. Haven't been too active around these parts recently, but I got some more work done on my thigh. We did the black and gray shading a couple days ago, lines are healed. Set to do some (if not all) color March 1st!

  22. Currently on my nyc tat-cation. First up was Eli Quinters. Next is Hillary Fisher White. When I first got to jfk airport, I was charging my phone at an outgoing terminal and the loudspeaker guy at the desk was listing people that needed to come see him and named Richard Stell. Didn't see him though.

  23. just got this from mark cross at rose. honestly best experience I've ever had. great shop. coolest people. mark was so nice. this family came in because their little kid wanted to see a tattoo shop and mark stopped zapping me for a few minutes to hang with them and put a temporary tattoo on the hand of the little kid. so sick. backtard

  24. By Tim Pausinger, Pearl Harbor Giftshop, Toronto. I don't have experience with the most painful spots (ribs, back, butt). This was not as brutal as I expected but certain spots closer to the armpit felt like hot pokers up and out through my shoulder haha !

  28. Just finished my left inner arm with Tim McAlary at Port City Tattoo, LBC. My recommendation is to book the appointment, then bounce ideas off your tattooer and something is bound to stick. I definitely wasn't planning on getting a "Boxing Jesus surrounded by 4 eyes, and a flower and a spider and a black drop."

  33. Kind of tough to make out what goes where from this picture. It's the ball and chain. To give you reference, the girl head is above my elbow ditch.

  34. This is a cool thread. Lots of really good tattoos. My contribution is as follows... Cross with Koru designs by Tommy Downs at Roger's Tattoo Art in Wellington, NZ. That is surrounded by a half sleeve by Gerry Carnelly at Octopus Tattoo, Derby, UK. The second piece then is a dotwork Aum gap filler by Patrick Huttlinger going in the little gap left by a half sleeve by Ian Flower at New Skool Tattoos in Ewell village, Surrey, UK. I really like that the combination balances the two arms. When I had the gaps it felt totally unbalanced. I agree with the earlier comment though about not having to tattoo that part of my body again. The cross was my first ever tattoo and not the most pleasant introduction to say the least...

  42. It turns out that it's really difficult to take pictures of your inner biceps but here are mine. The skull is from Ron Henry Wells and the Haeckel mandala type deal is from Thomas Hooper. I am glad I don't have to get that part of my body tattooed anymore.

  45. i'm going for space around all my tattoos with just smaller filler tattoos in the bigger gaps. Also want it to looked unplanned, not into sleeves, symmetry etc.

  46. I like the small gaps. Looks like a sign or the bottom of a skateboard with a bunch of stickers on it. The gaps kinda give each piece a frame kinda feel too
