Are there any more 50+ women working on their collection?
littlefox1970 and 5 others reacted to blujax01 for a topic
As a 60 year old male, I can tell you that some of mine heal slower, especially in the bendy areas. Is the pain worse than it used to be? Probably, but I can put up with it better. I can say that I am a slave t the lotion because I am prone to dry skin and nothing looks worse than a scaly tattoo. And since everything I own is paid off, I am accelerating the program. They say that you can't take it with you, but I damn sure am going out very decorated! :cool:6 points -
these two points are great, and I agree, the mental pain control seems to work better for me than ever, and yes we have worked hard to get to a good financial place,I'm not a wealthy guy,but not owing any money is a form of wealth IMO.3 points

Mine don't heal any slower than the one I got in 1976. I got a couple of large ones last summer and 2 new ones this summer and am scheduled for another large one this Feb. (I'm 69).3 points -

I'm 56,I think my tattoos actually heal better and faster because I am more educated about healing after all the tattoos I have had done(from much trial and error over the years), I will say that I think getting tattoos seems to hurt more than when I was 25 ! LOL2 points -

The recent activity in the "awesome things we've been doing" thread has been pretty canine based, so I figured it might be nice to a have a separate thread where we could go dog crazy... then I figured that folks probably have more diverse pets than just dogs, so I went the unbiased route and opened it up to all animals. I'll start things off with my corgi/shiba inu mix. he's almost 4. we adopted him in Nov 2012. his name's Huckleberry. this is him after a good day at the 40 acre dog park in Redmond, WA...1 point

I'm 50+, and still working on my tattoo collection. Any others out there? I'm curious if your age has made any difference in how you get your tattoos... Or in how they heal...1 point -
Hi all! I have been reading this forum for a while now and the majority of what I know about tattoos is from lurking on the forum and watching the interviews. So firstly thank you for helping to guide me towards getting tattoos which I love and don't regret (as of yet anyway!). Anyway a bit about me - I am lucky to live in London as its full of great tattooers and shops. I got my first tattoo from Chris Hewish at the Family Business Tattoo in August '14 and have since added tattoos from Luke Jinks, Andrea Furci, Mario Desa, Mors, Bradley Tompkins, Marcos Attwood and Dan Crowe. Since I love looking at pictures of everyone else's tattoos I'll try and add some of my little collection to my picture gallery. Thanks for reading1 point

This is my 5 year old Staffy. He's super energetic and playful, I get people constantly asking me if he's still a puppy. Sigh. He's a handful but a great family dog. A couple 'glamor shots' from back when I was super into photography: Aaaaand one of him letting my 6 month old son climb all over him. He's loving it.1 point -

I almost forgot our kittehs. George is the eldest. We adopted him from a family member who named him "Convict" because of his orange color and his escape attempts. We fixed him but he still loved the outdoors so we let him roam in and out of the house until he was severely injured by a tomcat. He is now an indoor only cat after an almost $1000 vet bill. We nursed him through the healing process at home. He likes to lick my head sometimes. Sophie and Sasha were adopted strays 3 years ago. They grew up together and are great buddies. Sophie the tortoise on the left was born in an abandoned car. She actually walked up to me in a parking lot and claimed me. She is a little shy but very sweet and calm. She loves Andy dog. Sasha followed our grandson home when he was running on our street's sidewalk. She claimed him quickly. She craves attention and turned out to be a huge cat.1 point -

Tipping Question
Patrick Bateman reacted to Valpolicella for a topic
I agree, every session. It will all work out the same in the end anyway. Like, if you're tipping 20% each time, why not just tip every time? I'll just say I'm an American living in the UK and I still tip "like an American" - I can't help it, it's so ingrained. Plus I love the reactions of cab drivers and hairdressers etc who aren't used to being tipped much, if at all.1 point -

Oh I was soooo done. A bunch of people came and went next to me while I was there, one of them was a big burly guy getting his back worked on. He was there less than two hours and was whining and whimpering the whole time. Made me feel real good about how I was handling myself! :D1 point -
I just booked an appointment for the spring with Grez at King's Ave in NYC to start a Rock of Ages lower leg piece. Can't wait, he's been one of my favorite artists for some time.1 point

I think in Hardy's "Wear Your Dreams" he mentions the design becoming a popular WW2(?) design, A little fuzzy but I remember being surprised of how old the design is.1 point
