@Killercook76 WOW!!!!!!!!!!! So. 4 days and then IT BEGINS. Very nervous, very excited. The drawing is out of control, I almost cried when I saw it and left the shop a mess of nerves. I'm told that Kahlil is gentle and efficient so that's some small iota of comfort. Hopefully the age-old tactic of building it up in my head to be the worst thing in life serves me well. Yeah, super excited. I'll be sure to DM pics to the LST folks on instagram when the first session is done but I probably won't post anything here (sorry) as I'm sure it won't go over well.

frog got his color on just a few days old with regard to the color crappy pic but you get the idea by Sheila Marcello @ Electric in Asbury NJ awesome shop - and Sheila does amazing stuff going back in Sept for more :)

We have a new tattoo thread, and an upcoming tattoo thread, but nothing about what we're thinking of having done. And planning is half the fun. :) Here's some stuff I'd like to get some day: - a rooster fighting a snake, illustrative style, going all the way around my left lower leg - the classics: Rock of Ages, pharoah's horses...either on my forearms or thighs - traditional dagger somewhere, not sure where yet - traditional style sacred heart somewhere - something sickeningly cute from a female artist (never been tattooed by a woman, really want to embrace my femininity with it!) - some sort of evil goat as a tribute to my love of metal Those are set in stone must haves, everything else I'm still thinking about.

So Saturday I got asked if I I wanted to do a Geo/B&W Realism Portrait for this upcoming expo in SA. I jumped all over it, When I got the details I found that the portrait is of a woman, I still was ok with it... Well it turns out the wifey is not ok with me getting a woman portrait specially realism and on my thigh. So this AM I had to back out... I suspect the artist was some what suspicious because he did ask me... Are you ok with a woman portrait? Shit... I am ok, Is all good with me! BUT on the mist of discussing the plans for this week end we had the talk of the pieces I am getting up in SA... Than it hits.... Huge argument wish I quickly lost... Than I had to go back and think at one of the things I allways preach about... I am not the only one that is going to look at this for the rest of my life.... So is my wife... So I had to go back to rule number "If the wife is not happy, nobody is" This one was my fuck up... I feel horrible and depress. Not only because I didnt think about my wife but because I possibly fucked up a spot for my artist. I did told him that I am open for anything else just cant do a womans face... :( :( :( - - - Updated - - - Update: We are still a go. We change the subject matter, YAY!!!!

my girlfriend said she loves my tattoos because she loves me, and they're a part of me! /loveydovey i think shes a keeper, even if she doesnt want any tattoos herself, i still lover her. haha !

Sick you were able to keep the spot and change the subject matter! realism, especially a face.. IMO should be something that you choose, not your artist.. even if you are good with having that work of art, it is a face that would be on you forever, and you did make that a promise to your wife to be with her forever too!

After finishing my arm this weekend, this is the first time in a few years that I don't have anything at all booked or scheduled. I have talked with Scott Sylvia about something for the Pagoda City convention and it should happen, but nothing set quite yet. It's a weird feeling.

got another session this coming Saturday for my back... gotta be session 9...10... who knows I lost count honestly I have a nice feeling we are gonna be working my right kidney. Super excited

Session 3 done, backpiece done (although we have already talked about adding background - my bank account and body both screamed in unison). Such a cool experience, i've met some awesome people, had some great times and i've come out of it with a tattoo that i have to keep reminding myself is actually mine. To think that 6 months ago there was nothing, it's crazy! Already posted in the latest tattoo thread but i had to bring it to my chums in the backpiece thread! I now looking forward to sitting back and seeing what the rest of you guys are getting, bring em on!

I started my back last Thursday with Alex Binnie at Into You in London. The snakes head, and the maple leaves were stencils, and the snakes body was drawn on. The outline will continue onto my backside, and will be done next time. The time tattooing was roughly between 3 1/2 - 4 hours.

finally a decent pic of my backpiece. It was really difficult. Even in this one the hands aren't shown at their best.

2 and a half more hours. Still didn't do the black in the tail lol. been FOR EHHH VEEERRR since being under the needle. Glad to get the time in. EDIT: sorry about my sideways pics

Chad is such a beast and that is a great example of just how good he can be. I remember seeing the first session pop up on his instagram and it was a stop scrolling and pay attention moment.

My husband has zero piercings or tattoos, and I have both. He's into Jimmy Buffett and I'm into the Dead Kennedys. He accompanies me to punk shows (what's left of them these days) and to the tattoo parlor, and supports whatever I'm into. Our next anniversary will be 25 years! Opposites attract sometimes... P.S. I took him to a Buffett concert last year for his birthday and had to walk out to the parking lot. Could. Not. Take. It. He's a much better spouse than I!

At the end of the day, all your tattoos will look like they belong there. It sort of takes care of itself, coverage wise! Re back piece - really gonna depend on what kind you want (and you already know you wanna go to the thighs!) and the artist you work with. definitely don't stop considering how it will all look in the long run - your thoughts will matter when it comes down to it! - but it will also work itself out in general. IMHO w my own tattoos at least! - - - Updated - - - @knucklehead211 re acne - sometimes i have bad back breakouts too. None of my pieces have been ruined. Actually seems like I have fewer pimples in the areas of coverage.

Hello friends. It's been a while since I've posted, as it had been a while since I've been tattooed. That ended today with the first sit on my back piece. Overall, I'd say it wasn't as awful as I expected, but certain areas were downright painful. Notably the bum. Next sit isn't for 9 weeks, so I've got time to mentally prepare myself for more pain.
