Not baby related (but congrats, everyone)... Got this rainy dude from Tron last week when she was at Atlas in Portland. Awesome experience and glad to fill this weirdo spot on my leg.

I always look forward to the start of the month because it means another 3 hours of work on my back, and another step closer to completion. This session I just could not zone out at all. The whole thing just hurt. On the other hand we have now basically finished the background and I'm stoked with how it's looking.

I got my butt snake colored in at the beg of feb. Basically I got home from my tattoo trip, and my dog had a big sudden health issue that had to be dealt with STAT! So I didn't even think about it. Pics attached. I'm booked for more at the beg of Apr too!

The lady and I went down to Dedication Tattoo for their 2 year anniversary party yesterday, they had a huge sheet of designs to choose from drawn up by them and their guests for the day and we had a lot of fun just getting spontaneous tattoos and hanging out at the shop. Bryce Operandi put a rose on my elbow, and she got a butterfly girl head from CJ Fishburn. CJ talked her into doing black and gray and I think it looks rad. Elbow wasn't as miserable as I expected either so that's a bonus.

Update: I drank a ton of beers immediately after my last appointment and have yet to feel the tattoo blues! So either alcohol really is a miracle drug, or I've just been too stressed about everything else to even think about it...

Welcome bud! It's pretty tame for a neck tattoo, so your future is still bright as long as you work hard. Now you've popped the tattoo cherry, go get some body work haha Just don't get a grenade on your hand as the next tattoo otherwise I will flame you

@beez's ongoing Diamond Club collaboration is one of the coolest tattoos I've seen on here. I would love to hear about how it has evolved since it began, if you feel like posting about that sometime.

Nice to meet everyone. I've just stepped foot into the tattoo world. I got my first tattoo yesterday at Vagrant Souls in Brooklyn. Awesome, awesome place. At the moment, I am using a thin layer of Aquaphor after rinsing with soap. I'm assuming I should switch to lotion after a few days? Also I realize this might not have been the best place for a first tattoo but it was a spur of the moment type thing, lol. YOLO Also, those are chinese characters which translates to "Love Parents" Anyway, nice to meet everyone!

I'd probably go with worried to be honest. I'm looking at a career in law enforcement too, and most places will not even allow half sleeves. Neck and below the elbow are no go. However, it probably makes sense to research the departments around you's rules. Most of them are easy to find on google.

@Lance thank you so much re Chuck, you made my morning when I read that. :))) This snake is by Matt (Dr. Claw). I have my first session w Shad in a few weeks! 4/2-4/3. An early birthday present to myself! Has anyone been tattooed by Shad? Would love a little info if so!

Today I found out I am having a boy and I want to get a tattoo to celebrate the moment. I was thinking of a traditional elephant and baby elephant? Something classic and simple.

LOL! @Pugilist I can't bring myself to stop saying it either. BUTT SNAKE! I find myself humming the batman theme song and replacing it with BUTT SNAKE pretty regularly now too. ;p But the looks on some people's faces....what on EARTH...is a butt snake? ahahahaha

I popped into The Pearl today and had a couple of little fillers in and around my right knee. My lower legs are really filling in nicely, and I've made a stab up into the thighs as well. I was speaking to Tim Pausinger today, and we are going to get back to work on my back-piece in the summer. It will be nice to have that beast taken care of.

I didn't mind near the pit too much but it bruised like crazy afterward. My friend has both pits fully done, but she's hardcore.

Ah-HA I think we have root cause here, folks. Maybe you should stop by the thread below if you haven't already. It's your tattoo to be happy or sad about. It's hard to not let our wife's opinion influence ours, but in the end, you're the one with the permanent mark on you. Yep, @Graeme is right. Who gives a shit what people think. The majority of people have no ability to discern elements of a tattoo design once it is applied to the skin, let alone a japanese piece. I had someone ask me if I had a dinosaur on my forearm a few weeks ago. DOES THAT LOOK LIKE A FUCKIN' DINOSAUR TO YOU?! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!! People are dumb, just ignore them.

I finished my ankle band coverup last night. I now have two big blue roses instead. Hopefully you get the idea. All my ugly tattoos are gone now. From now on any tattoos I get will be all NEW.
