A little in-progress shot my wife posted on Instagram of the peony on her elbow from Martin Lacasse at Olde City Tattoo. You can see the back of the snake as well. That's also the first peony that bloomed in our yard this spring. Here's an in-progress shot he posted of the snake. From @lacassetattoo. Finally, here's the ditch peony.8 points -
I'll add my sorry sticks to the thread. Visible tattoos: Hot Stuff and the ankle cuff are by Nathan Draper. The hot air balloon and the cat are by Chad Koeplinger. The pyramid (Higgs flash) is by Glennie Whittal The skull, clown, and boxer are by Tim Pausinger. Not visible is a space torch I picked up from Mario Desa at Great Lakes, a hand of glory by Chad, and some more work by Tim. This September I have a session with R.H. Wells to fill in some more of my legs at the Montreal convention. Who knows, maybe I'll find a few more fillers before the end of the summer.6 points

Going waaaaay back here, but I'm going to have to pass on an LST meetup this time around. I can't really take any time off work at the moment so we're driving the eight or so hours to NJ tomorrow after I finish work, get tattooed Saturday at who knows what time because walk-ins, then head back earlyish on Sunday so I can be back at work early Monday morning. Should be fun. We're hoping to make a NYC area trip later this year, maybe October, and we should for sure do a meetup then. It would be great to meet you folks.5 points

So glad to hear that he's feeling better! I am a bunny lover myself, however I'm in the bad books at the moment, Hermann is sitting in MY on the couch refusing to move or talk to me as I rearranged his designated area without his prior permission. :rolleyes:4 points

Landscaping! We too just recently did some landscaping to our entire front. We chopped down all the trees, dug up all the grass and replaced it with a deck, shade covers, built a bar, bought a new bar b and now spend heaps of time drinkin', rockin' tunes, bar b qing the fuck outta chicken wings. Yeah, spending quality time with nature is where it's at for us now.4 points -

Great thread. love it! I´m going to add some stuff to the collection in October. Jeff Rassier is going to do a good-sized filler in crazy style on the calf, between the Horimasa and Garver tattoos. Chris O´Donnell a skull/snake on the other thigh, and Timothy Hoyer the other calf with ladie/demon/tiger hybrid (based on a painting he did last year).3 points

Hi everyone, I've been a lurker for a while and decided to just go ahead and introduce myself. I got my first tattoo as soon as I hit 18, and then a couple more soon after - all regrettable (tribal ankleband anyone?). In the past few years I've made a concerted effort to learn more about tattooing and have begun acquiring larger pieces that I really like. I have a big koi/maple leaf party going on on my back and I'm almost finished with a piece on my right arm (top of the shoulder to ditch), which I'm fortunate enough to have done by Virginia Elwood. Looking forward to getting to know the fine folks on LST and learn more about great artists and tattoos out there!2 points

Ooo a mango tree! We have plain old trees that just shed these seed things that look like long caterpillars. And then seed things that spin around like helicopters. Aaaand then some other stupid thing they shed. Every time the wind blows. I wish we'd at least get some kick ass fruit out of it. Stupid trees. We are redoing some of our landscaping, which isn't probably awesome to some, but it is to us b/c we pride ourselves on our abilities in the yard. Aaaaand we've got two weeks before the play opens and it's a bit scary. A big production for a small community. I'm meeting new people and trying to come out of my shell but holy moly, maybe Les Mis wasn't the best choice for my first foray into theater-as-therapy hahahaha.2 points

peterpoose and one other reacted to SeeSea for a topic
Okay, this is just a first pass - nothing is done except maybe the sea snake but there are no highlights or shadows for him yet either. On the right, hidden are two unfinished clownfish in an anemone. He'll keep laying things out to get the whole design before he goes back to finish each part completely. Next up will be some fish and coral on the right, and in the middle will be the deep blue with some shadowed critters in the distance. Kinda frustrating that nothing will be finished until everything is finished at the last minute! FYI - This is a sea scene made from a number of pictures I've taken while diving. The sea snake I chased all over the bottom trying to get a close-up of him, only later to find out how poisonous he is! Oops! And I just love my eels!2 points -

Blaming @Graeme for this one since he posted his hairy man legs on instagram. I'm sure those famous legs Stuart at Spider Murphy's has filled up has given everyone the itch to do the same.. Or seeing Henning's work on those meaty thighs of @ironchef if you're going the Japanese route. But I'll tell ya, I'm real happy with how my short little legs are coming together and thought I'd get the ball rolling by saying fuck it and posting my hairy dude legs. Kinda weird, I know. Maybe I'll get weirded out and edit out the photo... Maybe (definitely) @MrsGougeTheEyes will yell at me and roll her eyes forever. But fuck it, here's a shot of the front of mine. In the kitchen. Visible tattoos by Andy Perez (@Perez), Todd Noble, Oliver Peck, Nash Hogan, Jake Fraser, Scott Sylvia (@ I forget your LST name brother), Bailey Robinson, Sophie C'est LaVie.. There are some on the back and some on the sides that are tough to see but this will suffice for now. @slayer9019 I know you're squidding it up slowly but surely and @else I just went back and read your intro thread. Totally totally awesome, especially with how everything's gone. (It's here for anyone who wants to take a gander.. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/initiation/3283-changing-way-i-see-myself.html) Now let's see those legs!! (So I don't feel so weird..)1 point -
AND I JUST GOT ATTACKED AGAIN!! This time it yanked my glasses off my face!!! MY FACE!! Two weeks ago another crow dive bombed me and chased me for two blocks. It is TERRIFYING. Lessons learned: - Late May - Late June = fledgling season, and crow mothers are no different from mothers anywhere and will attack any perceived threat to their babies. Any perceived threat like walking under a nest you don't know is there. Walk somewhere else for the month. - Crows remember up to 200 discrete faces and also talk to each other. Don't piss off crows. - They like to nest in big, tall trees. - If you hear warning caws (I did NOT get a warning just now) then GTFO. Just do it. I like to walk and my walk to my chiropractor's office is usually quite pleasant but I think I will take the bus home BECAUSE SCARY BIRDS SWOOPING AT YOU FROM THE SKY AND FROM BEHIND IS FUCKING TERRIFYING! I dealt with this as a kid in Oklahoma. Kite hawks, anyone? My friends and I took to walking to each other's houses in the summertime with bike helmets on. One day a bunch of high schoolers in an open jeep drove up and started making fun of us for walking with helmets on....guess who got swooped?! Lesson. Don't fuck with birds.1 point
