  1. Here are shots of my right leg. Marie is going to do something on the back of my thigh and I'm hoping to have Greg Christian do something at some point on the inner thigh. My left leg is mostly in progress and I'll post that one when Kore finishes it. Lady head by Marie Sena Star/cross/wings by Steve Byrne Day of dead groom on back of leg by Kore Flatmo

  2. Great thread. love it! I´m going to add some stuff to the collection in October. Jeff Rassier is going to do a good-sized filler in crazy style on the calf, between the Horimasa and Garver tattoos. Chris O´Donnell a skull/snake on the other thigh, and Timothy Hoyer the other calf with ladie/demon/tiger hybrid (based on a painting he did last year).

  3. Sorry for my absence! Been so busy moving, traveling and getting tattooed! haha  Here's some healed pictures of my dragon-koi by Lehi, and monmon cat by Horitomo! And a tiny lil memory-cat by Mary Joy at tattoo city! Had the best trip ever, even got to see Ed Hardy's studio!

  4. I'll add my sorry sticks to the thread. Visible tattoos: Hot Stuff and the ankle cuff are by Nathan Draper. The hot air balloon and the cat are by Chad Koeplinger. The pyramid (Higgs flash) is by Glennie Whittal The skull, clown, and boxer are by Tim Pausinger. Not visible is a space torch I picked up from Mario Desa at Great Lakes, a hand of glory by Chad, and some more work by Tim. This September I have a session with R.H. Wells to fill in some more of my legs at the Montreal convention. Who knows, maybe I'll find a few more fillers before the end of the summer.

  7. AND I JUST GOT ATTACKED AGAIN!! This time it yanked my glasses off my face!!! MY FACE!! Two weeks ago another crow dive bombed me and chased me for two blocks. It is TERRIFYING. Lessons learned: - Late May - Late June = fledgling season, and crow mothers are no different from mothers anywhere and will attack any perceived threat to their babies. Any perceived threat like walking under a nest you don't know is there. Walk somewhere else for the month. - Crows remember up to 200 discrete faces and also talk to each other. Don't piss off crows. - They like to nest in big, tall trees. - If you hear warning caws (I did NOT get a warning just now) then GTFO. Just do it. I like to walk and my walk to my chiropractor's office is usually quite pleasant but I think I will take the bus home BECAUSE SCARY BIRDS SWOOPING AT YOU FROM THE SKY AND FROM BEHIND IS FUCKING TERRIFYING! I dealt with this as a kid in Oklahoma. Kite hawks, anyone? My friends and I took to walking to each other's houses in the summertime with bike helmets on. One day a bunch of high schoolers in an open jeep drove up and started making fun of us for walking with helmets on....guess who got swooped?! Lesson. Don't fuck with birds.

  8. How did I miss this thread? I'll have to get some decent pics and post up later. @Iwar and @rozone are absolutely killing it, but that's not news to anyone.

  9. Awesome thread. It's cool to see all the well done leg tattoos. It also reminds me that I have a lot more space on mine. Here is a shitty iphone pic I just took. I also have a stickishly drawn family portrait on the outside of my ankle with male/female guardian lions on the front and back of the ankle. Additionally I have several tattoos high up on my hip but I will spare you all from that. Yikes! Time to get planning the next leg tattoo I guess. [/img]

Sigh, I knooowwwwwww. I was just way off in my own internal estimation of how long this would take. Little teeny-tiny scales with little teeny-tiny shadows and little teeny-tiny glints of sun off of each one. Aughghgh! Just file this in the bitch-bitch-whine-whine folder.

It's been a couple months since some serious butt work, I forgot how fun it was. My glorious buttocks create quite the shadow in that lighting, but I've got myself a nice new pink and purple lotus. Also referred to as the big ass lotus, or the big ass ass lotus. Whichever you prefer. Also the blue is finished, and the snake got touched up a little. Very productive. Picture is as always from Dana's Instagram because I'm lazy, and I can't really get a better picture either. Damn my rear end constitution.

  22. My pegs, tattoos by RHW (snake and rose), Cris Cleen (lady in the mirror), BHR (vulture head), Carolyn Le Bourgeois (snake, Niña Blanca), Scott Sylvia (candle burning at both ends), and Nick Colella (eagle and flag). No plans but to fill them up with rad tattoos.

  23. Credit should go where credit is due, this idea actually came from @BrianH Anyway, here's my legs, or the start of them anyway. You can't actually see most of what I have on them. The panther rose was done by Chad Koeplinger, the ship is by Ron Henry Wells, you can see a bit of a swallow done by Bert (I don't know his last name but he goes as "Bert Monster") who worked at Tattoomania in Montreal when I got that tattoo, but now works out of a private studio, I believe. You can also see tiny bits of a rose and a snake done by Tony D'Annessa, and a tiger-faced hannya done by Danny at Tatouage Artistique. More towards the back of my right leg, and totally out of view is a piece of Doc Forbes flash done by Chris Hold who tattoos at Sacred Heart in Vancouver. Not everything on them goes together, but I like my legs because it's been a lot of fun getting those tattoos. I'm waiting to hear on some time off I requested from work to go to Barcelona, so hopefully I'll manage to add something else to my legs from El Monga or another one of those Aloha guys in July.

I had just met Dave, but it felt like I was getting tattooed by an old friend. Fun times all around. Photo pilfered from Dave's instagram account. (@dutchraven)

  26. Blaming @Graeme for this one since he posted his hairy man legs on instagram. I'm sure those famous legs Stuart at Spider Murphy's has filled up has given everyone the itch to do the same.. Or seeing Henning's work on those meaty thighs of @ironchef if you're going the Japanese route. But I'll tell ya, I'm real happy with how my short little legs are coming together and thought I'd get the ball rolling by saying fuck it and posting my hairy dude legs. Kinda weird, I know. Maybe I'll get weirded out and edit out the photo... Maybe (definitely) @MrsGougeTheEyes will yell at me and roll her eyes forever. But fuck it, here's a shot of the front of mine. In the kitchen. Visible tattoos by Andy Perez (@Perez), Todd Noble, Oliver Peck, Nash Hogan, Jake Fraser, Scott Sylvia (@ I forget your LST name brother), Bailey Robinson, Sophie C'est LaVie.. There are some on the back and some on the sides that are tough to see but this will suffice for now. @slayer9019 I know you're squidding it up slowly but surely and @else I just went back and read your intro thread. Totally totally awesome, especially with how everything's gone. (It's here for anyone who wants to take a gander.. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/initiation/3283-changing-way-i-see-myself.html) Now let's see those legs!! (So I don't feel so weird..)

I am getting my first leg tattoo this month!!!!!!!!!! Planning to wear knee length skirts and pedal pusher shorts during the healing, so no fabric sticks to it, it can get air, and I can look at it all the time! I will be on summer break so won't have to cover it up for any reason. Yeah! Pretty excited...

  36. In the spirit of "fuck-it" I present my left leg. @gougetheeyes now we can feel weird together. Snake/torch by El Monga last summer at spider Murphy's Candle/Skull by El Monga March of this year at tattoo city Cattle Head by Stefan Johnsson Jan of last year at California electric Planning a panther on the knee at some point but it'll have to wait a bit. The other leg has some odds n ends on the thigh, but not enough coverage for me to feel it can hang in this thread yet!

  39. Ooo a mango tree! We have plain old trees that just shed these seed things that look like long caterpillars. And then seed things that spin around like helicopters. Aaaand then some other stupid thing they shed. Every time the wind blows. I wish we'd at least get some kick ass fruit out of it. Stupid trees. We are redoing some of our landscaping, which isn't probably awesome to some, but it is to us b/c we pride ourselves on our abilities in the yard. Aaaaand we've got two weeks before the play opens and it's a bit scary. A big production for a small community. I'm meeting new people and trying to come out of my shell but holy moly, maybe Les Mis wasn't the best choice for my first foray into theater-as-therapy hahahaha.

  43. Normally I don't get many comments, but I've been stopped on the street several times this week by people wanting to know where I got mine done, and then in several cases, they wanted to show me their tattoos as well. I had the time, and was in a good mood, so I was happy to take part in these conversations.

  44. I just got started on my second sleeve two weeks ago. It's funny but I have had more people walking up to talk to me than when I just had the one sleeve. I had three people come up to me yesterday. All positive comments. However, I was down in Florida visiting my parents a couple of days ago and when we went into a nice restaurant I got the stink-eye from some older man. I'm not sure what he found most offensive, my tattoos, pony tail or jeans! My philosophy is you can look all you want, but open your mouth and you'll get as good as you give (or better).

I've probably posted this somewhere, but I think it fits well here. The screaming gorilla is on my left elbow, the tiger on the right. Both by Tim Pausinger at The Pearl. (The tiger is a little distorted by the way my arm is lying.)

    Elbow Tattoos

ok here's mine. was easier than i thought to photo my elbow with the help of a mirror and my iPhone. done by Chris David, then of TCB tattoo toronto, now he works in BC i think in victoria somewheres. People are always shocked he did the heart red and that i haven't had it touched up. It looks a little darker in the photo because I used lotion right before it was taken. It could use another pass on the red, it's a little blotchy when I bend my elbow all the way, but it's in there pretty good. looking at these pics makes me realize i need to get some more shit around that thing!

  50. I'm getting tattooed by Robert Ryan on Monday and Deno on Tuesday. Both are in hellish (inner thigh and armpit) spots that I expect to leave me crying like a wee baby. This whole painting myself into a corner thing was dumb. I should have started with the shit spots and ended up 36 years old and making appointments for my forearms.
