  1. @Iwar Thanks man! I got very lucky with that one. I had put my name down months ago in case Koji had any cancellations and I totally forgot about it. Happened to be randomly working from home and got a call from Adorned asking if I could be there in the next hour. Got the okay from my boss, jumped on my bike, and pedaled over. Even got a flat on the way, but still made it haha. Soo stoked that worked out. Particularly happy with the placement of that one. Really glad I had saved that spot!

I think that anytime there's some trolling or any idiocy going on around the forum someone should link to these pages. Puppies and kittens save any thread.

This is our cat, Ludovic (Ludo). She will be 10 years old around August of this year. My wife found her in the ditch at a store in her hometown at only a few weeks old. We started dating a year later and the cat has been a my house ever since (even before the wife moved in). She is now having to adjust to our new puppy that we have had for a couple of days. It has been an interesting experience for the cat trying to adjust to having a dog in the house.

  10. I completely agree. I've been getting acupuncture done on and off for the last 10 years or so, and I'm definitely in the 'can't avoid it' category. I've never had any problems. Can I derail for a second and say how awesome my last acupuncture guy was? When I was on my first visit to his office I was looking through his portfolio in the lobby (when have you ever seen a doctor with a portfolio before) and on one page it showed pictures of a surgery being done in Japan when he was working in a hospital where one of his roles was being an anesthesiologist. This patient was getting brain surgery done while he was awake but with receptors being blocked; literally cap peeled back but fully alert and smiling as he sips some water or eats a bite of apple. Mind blown, no pun intended.

This is Chloe. My son came home with her almost 2 years ago and now she's almost 6. We celebrate her birthday on 5/5 (cinco de mayo) since we have no idea what it really is. This is the best cat ever and I've had scores of cats through the years. Rob

  18. Congrats on your arm!!! As for your question, I have relayed all my ideas to Horitomo and am just waiting to see what he comes up with. There was a lot of "I like this, and I like that...and it could be this way, or that way..." I'm leaving a lot up to him so I don't really know for sure what I'm going to get!

  19. Just googled those cats, they are brilliant. Is is a particular one you fancy getting? Well, I'm all peonied up :D The whole not too visible placement thing didn't really work out. He showed me how the design wouldn't work where I wanted it (I'm quite small so the design would have taken up 1/4 of my back and either always looked distorted or had a bra strap right over the kitsune thus ruining his good looks). I had to make a snap decision... so it's on my arm! I've had a few days of wavering between "what have I done" to "oh my it's awesome" and now I'm into "well now I've started..." Anyway thanks again for all the advice and suggestions. I'll post a pic when it's healed. :D

I know this wasn't directed at me but just wanted to share my thoughts on long wait times... In June 2013 I made appointments for a big project starting in February 2015. Not quite 2 years (maybe ~1.5 years?). I waited all day in line and put down a normal sized deposit. Didn't even get to discuss my idea with the artist and won't be consulting with him about the design until a month or 2 before my first appointment. I know it all seems crazy to wait that long but I know I will get an unbelievably awesome tattoo. And yes a ton can change during the long wait time, finances, life goals, health, or simply design ideas for the tattoo. I want to get tattooed by him and my choices are basically patiently wait or not get tattooed by him at all.

  30. Greetings canvases of all colors and nationalities! Got a fancy new tat zap that you just can't wait to show off to the internet? Maybe a new pair of squid pants? Well then look no further! Post it up here, in LST's very own "Tattoo of the Month" Contest! Only question is, do YOU have what it takes to be "LST Ink Master Canvas April 2014"???? Enter to earn the title (...and a complimentary LST shirt) Here are the rules: The tattoo picture that gets posted in this thread for April 2014 with the most 'likes' for the month wins! The contest starts on the first of the month and ends on the last day of the month. Your tattoo picture must be posted in this thread (both tattooers and tattoo customers can win) in order to qualify. Include with your photo/post...tattoo artist name & tattoo shop. You MUST be the one who has the tattoo or did the tattoo. You can 'like' as many tattoos as you want. It can be a finished or in progress tattoo. 39. My acupuncturist has told me that they try to avoid putting needles in coloured ink, but she said that's from a total "cautious to be cautious because we actually don't know" perspective, especially because most points have parallel points elsewhere on the body so it tends not to be too hard to do. She said she thinks it's a totally baseless caution though, and she has done work on heavily tattooed clients where she really couldn't avoid putting needles through ink, and she just told the client that it's a thing the profession worries about, but no one ever cared. People just worry about liability, I think, but there tends to be no evidence at all that these things are problems.

  41. That tattoos can give you STDs! I just saw this on a tattooist's website. "Tattooing carries a risk of STDs and other nasty things infecting you, and you wouldn’t want to catch any of those." If you're getting sexually transmitted diseases from a tattooist, it's not the needle they're sticking you with.

This is Leo who we adopted from outside after he got into a fight and another cat chewed up his tail. He got a bad infection, and we dragged his hissing scratching self to the vet. He would have died. We saved his furry butt, but as a result of the fight, he got FIV and then somehow got diabetes. I spent an insane 9 months following an insulin protocol that can reverse diabetes in cats, and I got him off insulin. Now he's my spoiled rotten loving handsome guy.
