My latest by Jan Willem at 25 to life tattoos in Rotterdam. Picked a design from his flash and he nailed it! Couldn,t be more stoked with how it turned out! the picture of the tattoo was when i removed the wrapping after 12 hours. Really hard to take a good picture of it without it being shiney. Once its healed ill post a new picture

Recent conversation. Me - hi there, what can we do for you? Customer - look at this shit tattoo *shows some wobbly writing on her wrist obviously scratched on* isn't it rubbish? Look how crap it is. Me - we'll, it's pretty bad, yeah. Customer - that was done by **** at ****'s tattoos. It's rubbish, I hate it. Me - ok. Well, I can promise you we're a bit better than that, at least. Customer - so how much would it cost to get just a little name on my other wrist? Me - if it's just small it'd probably be our minimum charge, which is £25. Customer - £25? Fuck off. **** at ****'s tattoos (same place she'd just been complaining about) will do it for a fiver. I'll go there. Me - ..... You get the tattoo you deserve.

hey and welcome! my advice is to not care what others think. it's your tattoo on your body...i have "girly" tattoos and don't care what anyone thinks. if i like, i like it!

Some people are not hip to tattoo protocol, the process, what to expect, how to check out a shop, etc. Some lessons in life just cost more than others. Fortunately for shit work, they are easier to cover up. Rob

Me and @Pugilist got matching tattoos again. This is from Doc Forbes flash and was done by Chris Hold at Sacred Heart Tattoo in Vancouver, BC. It was a super fun one and Chris was a great dude to get tattooed by. Couldn't be happier with the tattoo and the whole experience.

I finally bought an 8mm player. It hasn't arrived yet and I'm sure there will be problems, but the hope is that by middle of next week I can start capturing footage from tons of 8mm cassettes that I have. Most of the stuff isn't really tattoo related, but Im 100% sure that I have the 1995 Amsterdam tattoo convention video I shot, which includes 22 tattooers working on one (very blue) client. Seeing Alex Binnie, Horiyoshi 3 and Crazy Ace tattoo the same person at the same time...

I believe that is called Sharpie.

I posted it in the Tattoo of the Month contest but I got this one done by Adam Warmerdam a week or so ago. Some of the best lady heads out there right now, I'm sure it helps having Chris Conn upstairs.

I got this one form Ron Henry Wells a couple months ago. She looks a lot darker in the picture than it does now having healed

Was able to get a second appointment with Cecil Porter (just got lucky since I live in Portland where he is now), so I think now that I have about 16-18 guaranteed hours with him that I'm gonna change up my plans and have him do a coverup for me, covering a piece in my upper back, and also tattoo over my shoulders onto my chest as well. Will post up pics for sure, two appts with Cecil in January and one with Tim kern in feb means I gotta save up? These boys ain't cheap

I don't respond "But, it's MY toilet!" when the professional (plumber, obviously) I have hired for the job gives me a suggestion based on his/her hard-earned experience....I might ask why they think that is the better plan, but ultimately that's why I'm paying them for the job: to make sure it gets done right.

My 9 year old daughter, after learning how much her grandmother hates tattoos, told me, "well, that's her problem then." :)

I've decided I want a la-la-lady head from Nikki Lugo at Tattoo Paradise. I feel like my arms are too puny to put one there, though that's kind of where I want it. Lady heads are one thing I would consider getting in color because they look so awesome in color, but I think I'll keep sticking with all black & gray for now. Discovered a great little studio called Wood Street Tattoo in my home town, Swindon, of all places. Got this skull as a walk in from a super nice guy, Kris Manyana. I think he did a really nice job.

What's better than the super bowl/watching sports any other day? Getting this cut out dagger today. Tattooed by Pete Triolo who usually works out of Built for Speed in Orlando.

I'll second Theo Mindell as one of the top lady-headers. I'll probably end up with one from him sometime soon. Also, I didn't see Cris Cleen mentioned in here, but I love his ladies. ALSO, that Dietzel flash on the last page is soooooo good.
