Got this dagger from Lal Hardy at New Wave Tattoo in Muswell Hill, London. Lal has been tattooing for over 30 years and is as absolute diamond. Had such a great morning there as well. The dagger goes through a tattoo from Alex Binnie, which is his version of the first tattoo I had done over 40 years ago.18 points

Just got a cover-up from Trevor Taylor at Liberty in Seattle. I had one laser removal session done at Fade Fast in Dallas and, though I've got nothing but good things to say about Fade Fast, decided I wasn't patient enough to see it though. Trevor was great and I'm very pleased with the result. It won't be my last from him. The photo was borrowed from Trevor's Instragram.12 points

This one will be a bit photo heavy... First one is on a fellow who came in and got a family crest on his forearm, said he got this 30 or so years ago early in his time in the military, but couldn't afford the lettering the first visit. He had to go back a two weeks later to add it. Second one is on a guy who came in from meeting my dad at the VA. He got his somewhere in Kentucky, also early in his military service. The rest are on the fellow I mentioned earlier who got his in 1964. If I recall, the Hot Stuff was in Chicago, the hula girl was in Hawaii, and the rest were either Hawaii or San Diego. The last one is the only one we couldn't easily decipher... theories were mostly a heart/banner/leaves design, or a sparrow.9 points -
OK until I take a pics of the other tats let me see if I can upload a piece I got from Lupo Horiokami when he guested at Idle Hand - I pulled it off his instagram.8 points

Not the latest work I have, but a few days after the Friday the 13th tattoo I got on the bottom of my foot, I gave doing one on the bottom of my other foot a go. The first hit was 34 days ago. After nine days, it pretty much looked like this, so I gave it another pass. Scabbing finally finished falling off a few days ago. There's a bit of what I think Shawn Porter called "iguana skin" around it, although not as severe as what he had on his Occult Vibrations finger tattoo updates. Probably going to work into it again soon, just to see if I can get it to stick... learning the hard way.6 points -

Did another overnight trip to NYC. In just over 24hrs I got a spider from Tomas Garcia and my wife got her sleeve from Timothy hoyer finished. Great time going to miss hanging out while Timothy tattoos my wife but I think a year from now ill start a med sized hoyer tattoo. I love my Tomas tattoo...he's just got so much cool shit and the process of looking through his bible to find a tattoo is just fun. So much great stuff to pick from. It was my first time at smith street and everyone was great and had a nice atmosphere...I will be going back at some point because boltz is still one of my favorite traditional tattooers and ill pay more for his work. Nice guy as well. Love NYC tattoo trips but they burn me out! Back home to trees and clean air and less people. Tomas posted a pic of mine on IG. I'm on the train so ill try to later. Timothy stuff i need to ask him first.5 points

You could have started an intro thread to properly introduce yourself and ask this question instead of spamming the forum with inane, throwaway posts to get enough posts to start a new thread.4 points -
Hey all, I just joined and started flicking about thoroughly enjoying this thread only to come across this guy here! I live in melbourne and the guy with the chad koeplinger in Rough Operators post is my good friend who I was drinking a beer with only hours ago. This piece looks amazing now that its fully coloured and complete, I'll see if I can find a photo somewhere! Small world, great thread! Here's a sizzler from El Bara, from Madrid.4 points

The tattooer asked if you wanted it facing you, b/c she knew that is what you wanted, because it's a common and pastiche trend. However, we're happy you're happy.4 points -

Ok, advice: Leave the bandage on for at least a few hours. The less you do to it during healing process the better. Don't get it facing you; while this may not bother you or your friends, it's an A1 rookie mistake. And if you decide to get more and go bigger and start delving into the world of tattoos, you may feel a little sheepish about it. Good luck!4 points -

Yesterday my wife had her 4th session on her backpiece, and the background brought it to life and we are so stoked I just had to share it with you all :-) The piece is made by Bonel from Corazon Santo in The Netherlands, which also did both of my sleeves and chest pieces :)3 points

First, apologies to @IAmMattLewis for the thread hijack! For three years, I lived in Old Town Alexandria, but at the north end, close to Del Ray. Both are great little neighborhoods. I just moved into the district proper over the summer. If you're ever back in town and want to check in on Del Ray, let me know! Maybe some Dairy Godmother action? Though I guess it's getting too cold for ice cream, huh? Whomp whomp...2 points -
Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for quite a while, reading and researching and checking out all of your tattoo pics at the recommendation of a few folks from another forum I frequent. I figured its time I introduced myself and stopped being a creeper. I've got a few small (and mostly pretty shitty) tattoos from poor decisions in years past. I don't have pics of any of them, and there's only one I wouldn't be embarrassed to share. I'm lucky enough to live in Chicago, so I'm going to head over to Great Lakes in the next few weeks (hopefully, fingers crossed) and talk with them about a few different loose ideas I have, see what they can design for me. I'm also pretty fortunate to have a job that doesn't care about my tattoos (neither the ones I have or the ones I'd like to get) during the day and one where they're nearly expected at night. Anyway, great forum. I've already learned a lot here, I'm looking forward to participating in the conversation.2 points

This isn't an insect, but it does fall into the tiny tattoos that make me happy every time I see them category: A tiny baphomet by Seth Wood, done a little over a year ago. He did a Necronomicon on me previously and I saw him after it was finished and he said he wasn't satisfied with the tattoo because the pages in the book were blank and he wanted to put some illustrations in them. I suggested a twenty-sided die and he did the rest, including that little baphomet that he drew on with a sharpie...I didn't even know what it was going to be until it was there. It makes me happy because it's this kind of secret tattoo that not many people know about. It's one of my favorites and I'd love to get more little things like this.2 points

Ever since I became aware of what the world of tattooing is, I've also been aware of the closely guarded secrets and the policy of not sharing the gold. And it's a good policy. Not everyone deserves to see the end of the rainbow. And then there's other times where I see that keeping everything to yourself or the immediate close circle isn't always necessary, or that it's more like brass not gold. I also scanned the Rudy interview from the same old copy of TA that I scanned and posted the VyVyn article from in that other thread. I tried to make the scans less crooked this time. Seems to be the best place to post this.2 points -
