  1. I managed to get tattooed by Capilli when he was at Captured Tattoo. I actually contacted him a few weeks after he announced his U.S. visit, and he was completely booked up. He emailed me back a month or two later and let me know he had a cancellation. I jumped right on the opportunity. After a near cancellation, due to some booking confusion, he managed to get me in at the time we had originally planned. I would have to say that getting tattooed by Capilli was probably the best Tattoo experience I ever had. He is genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met. He shared some cool and funny stories, and had a long conversation about Type O Negative and Alice In Chains. It was hands down, the least painful tattoo I've ever gotten. He says he's going to start making regular visits throughout the year, so I would highly suggest getting tattooed by him if any one in the United States has the chance. That was the best photo I could get, being that it's on my Tricep and pretty gooey at the moment. PS-It's totally ridiculous how he has been tattooing for only 5 years.

  16. Thanks again to everyone who made it out - it was great to meet you all in person and to catch up with those of you I have met before. The time flew by too fast! Here's the only pic that didn't have everyone looking like zombies from the flash. Seriously the nicest (and smartest) group of people I've ever met.

  17. Well it finally happened and I got tattooed by Stuart Cripwell today. Even though we had to rush like crazy and were still 30 minutes late to our appt. (which ended up making us miss the dinner tonight - sorry to everyone who went). I got this cowboy on the last big spot left on my arms. My girlfriend got this Sorry in advance if they are huge but I'm posting from my phone.

  19. Tattooed by a guy called Steve in Bath around 1970. Don't know what became of him. He gave me two great tattoos though. Got tattooed by Doc Price in Plymouth. He was 80 and has been tattooing since the 1940s, amazing guy and some great tales. I first saw one of his tattoos when I was in Approved School (Reform School) in the 1970s. It took 40 years but I got there. I've a great big framed picture of me and Doc that takes pride of place on the wall in my house. I've also got a Bristol Tattoo Club bat tattooed by Jimmie Skuse (Les Skuses grandson). Jimmie has been tattooing for a few years I'm not sure if Jimmie has been tattooing since 1985 but the family lineage dates back to the 1940s. Alex Binnie did his version of my first ever tattoo a couple of years ago. He is such an important person in British tattooing history. At the London tattoo convention I'm getting tattooed by Henning and in October, on my birthday, by Lal Hardy. George Bone is also on my list.

  21. My suggestion: check out the list of artists (here: Bay Area Convention of the Tattoo Arts SFO 2013) and see if there's anyone you want work from. Then email them! You'd be very, very surprised at the availability of some of these folks. I've seen world-class artists take walk-ups at this convention. Good luck!

    Hello From New Hampshire

Hello and welcome. My advice is to go to Hobo's or Congress Street in Portsmouth and talk to them. They'll take really good care of you.

  24. After a few months now of GVT and then a pretty conventional bodybuilding split, I am running Dan John's Mass Made Simple Lite (MMS Lite). It's a breakin week of 3 workouts and then 5 weeks of 3 workouts per week. They're full body workouts, with a focus on hypertrophy coming from load not just volume. Each workout has a little bias (more pressing, more pulling, more squatting etc). They all finish with farmer's walks. So wish me luck...

  33. ^^ This...worse feeling ever! My ritual is serious now, as I have worked out the "kinks" that can ruin my day (well more than getting my knee drilled with a needle for a few hours haha). Shit, shower, shave, as close to the time before me leaving as possible. Fill my two nalgene 1L bottles with ice and water, begin hydration. Start the long drive into NYC, and park in the same parking deck (no need for street parking tickets, assholes want $150 a pop). Walk to burger joint, get massive burger and fries. Go to favorite bar. At bar immediately bartender(s) ask me what I am getting worked on today. Drink 2-3 tasty beers. Walk to shop, smoke a cig on the way. Use bathroom before because nobody likes to stop mid-tattoo. Afterwards, get in car light up a premium cigar (currently working on a case of Rocky Patel Vintage 1992s). After I get home shower forever then get a nice scotch and look at new tattoo. Literally nothing ever changes, and it works out perfect. Also not drinking any alcohol the day prior makes a massive difference!
