Thanks @Iwar I'm pleased that some people are looking forward to this. I hope I can edit something interesting for those who care about such things. i hope I can get it finished by the end of the year. There might not be many new interview posts coming up over the next few months because I'm just starting to get stuck into the editing proper and there's already a lot of faces to squeeze in to the film. I still need to reply to a few emails and I'm honoured that people offered their time to help - I really do appreciate it. Danny is a member here at LST but I'll let him make himself known if he wants to.4 points -

Final sitting on my left arm sleeve with Mo Coppoletta (TFB) in August, and booked in for another two days in Tokyo for work on my front by Tomo (Yellow Blaze). That's November... going to be a flying visit. When these are done it's the last of the big work for me, I'm going to fill in what's left in one-shot tattoos that I ration out :) Not been posting much because I've been busy with work, moving house and getting married (18 days away). Still lurking though...!3 points

My Sweet Pea decided to be responsible, so instead of buying her a tattoo I paid her rent for July and bought her a bunch of groceries (and a couple things to unwrap of course!!) BUT!! Total win!! She decided that she wants to wait until she gets back to Denver to get her first tattoo so that she can have Marie Sena do it :D Hooray!!3 points

So hello. My name is Andrew, and I'm from just outside of Philadelphia. In the last few years I've gotten much more interested in tattoos, the history of tattoos, starting to really collect. As it stands, most of my tattoos are from Keith Reed at X-Treme Ink in West Chester, PA, but I've also recently scheduled an appointment with Grez at King's Avenue. I have a handful of artists on my "likely" list in the next year or so, but I have a lot of other people on a "dream" list. It seems every time I check LST I find more people I want to get tattooed by.2 points -

Oh damn you!!! Ha ha! I just lament that I can't post my backpiece here too (Cuz Mom would be so proud her baby's bum would be posted for the world to see, right?). They wanted to hold off on posting pictures because they might be able to include it into the Perseverance show next Spring. No guarantees of course but it would be cool and i'd be honored. But if SOG didn't post to IG/FB respectfully I'll avoid posting as well. Maybe I'll post it in 9 months after it opens. I am beyond happy with the results though. Words cannot rightfully express my gratitude. Freshly finished on June 21st though. It was finished 1 month shy of 5 years since I started going to Jill for my first tattoo on my left arm. How my life has changed since then. Crazy. Also while up in the Bay Area I had a chance to go to Diamond Club to pick up the Roberto Borsi "Horitoshi I" book. I recommend it. Nice (very) brief but informative intro. Very light on text throughout actually. The photos however make up for it. It's a good one if you're into collecting books. Beautiful tattoos. $80. I had the chance to meet Dr. Claw too. He was working on a sleeve sketch at the front when I got there and chatted with him for a bit. Really nice guy and nice work too! 'Scuse my ramblings and resume with the awesome photos. :-)2 points

Giving this thread a long overdue bump! Stewart has posted up a lot of cool stuff at FST: On the Shoulders of Giants | Production diary these last few months. Clips from interviews with Ian Flower, Beau Brady, Danny Woodruff (who transcribes interviews for the upcoming movie) and a few FST regulars who talk about the shop from a clients perspective (and of course shows off the amazing tattoos they've had done there). Can't wait for this to be released!2 points -

Josh Stephens, Hold It Down Finally making progress on my arm, really just the rest of the forearm left. Also, this is my first tattoo on this arm not done by Mario Desa or Nick Colella. Super happy with how it came out, if you're in RVA area, I definitely suggest checking out Hold It Down, super solid line up and a cool little shop.2 points -
Me and my buddy J went and visited Ben Grillo yesterday @ Power Tattoo... Ben added another little something to my buddy's face, he's already tattooed both of his cheeks so doing his forehead wasn't an issue I was surprised how quick it went, maybe slightly longer than 2 hours? I'm not totally sure, time goes pretty fast over there, Ben's always a cool dude to hang out with. Here's the finished product...2 points

Intricate tattoo concept idea
else reacted to TrixieFaux for a topic
As SStu said, they are high profile because they are so good at what they do. So, no, that shouldn't intimidate you! This will be on your skin for the rest of your life... It is worth it to pay more. Save up. I am a public school teacher and I am starting to acquire better tattoos than some of these millionaire celebrities out there. It ain't because I'm rich, it's because I have good taste ;). And yes, you can estimate the cost. When you start contacting artists to see if they will do your tattoo, ask how much they charge. They will usually quote you their hourly rate. Then, you can ask approximately how many hours they think the tattoo will take. They might not know exactly, but you could get a ballpark idea. Good luck!1 point -

I'm pretty sure you can still buy the top row at tattoo elite international or at the very least the first two in the row at SOG. Also, last I heard there may still be a few prints remaining from the second limited set (entire third row and center image in the fourth) that could be ordered from State of Grace too. Might be worth checking out their web page to see if it's still possible to purchase.1 point -

I have a tattoo that is probably fairly similar to what you're thinking of: This is Seth Wood's interpretation of the Necronomicon and it goes from my shoulder to about an inch or so above my elbow. He initially did it without the illustrations in the book, but when I was at the shop at a later date he saw it and said that it needed that little bit extra so we booked that and he put those in. I wanted the 20-sided die, the other things were his idea and freehanded in. I am especially stoked on the tiny little Baphomet. It could be covered by a quarter, total fine line madness there. Because they're so detailed, I'm not sure how well the book illustrations will age, but they're a little bonus and even when they fade and blur together they aren't going to greatly change the integrity of the tattoo. So yeah, it can be totally workable though I think you'd need to find the right artist to be able to pull it off properly.1 point -

I finally got my ship + lion on Friday. I put this picture in my post about the design, but I will put it here too because it will probably be my last opportunity to contribute to this thread for a little while. I totally love these, but I am going to give myself some time to get used to having such plainly visible tattoos (compared to my other, well-hidden ones) before I start thinking about getting anything else. This was a big step for me, haha! Scott M (I can never remember how to spell his last name) at Tattoo Paradise in DC did these for me. He is great, and he did my elephant, too, so I was very sad when he told me he was moving to FL.1 point
