Here's mine (slurped off of Steve Byrne's instagram) The knee was way less painful than I expected it to be... there were a couple spots that really made me wince but otherwise it was pretty easy.

Hey, everyone. I've been lurking around the forum here for about 6 months or so after falling down the rabbit hole watching all of the artist interviews on the site. Figured it was about time to start getting involved in the conversation. I've only really been getting tattooed since April of 2012. On top of that, I've come to it a bit later than a lot of people at 32. Started off getting a pretty questionably rendered sparrow followed by a skull that was flash the shop owner just googled and lifted from some other tattooer. I still feel pretty shitty about that second one, but I've since learned better. Lately I've been getting tattooed by a couple of guys at Fun City in New York, and have been happier with the outcomes (and am inching closer to filling up my right arm). That said, I really want to learn more and get a better handle on the tattooers who are out there and the quality work that's getting done. New York is full of really solid tattooers, and I'm sure I don't know of even a fraction of them. Looking forward to learning a lot and contributing something as well. I posted pictures of what I have so far in my gallery. They are all unhealed shots though, since my iphone camera is broken I only have the pictures taken right after getting tattooed. Aaaaaaand there's my wall of text intro.

this has to be one of the toughest tattoos out there. It looks even better since he's somehow had the restraint to keep the rest of the front of his torso clean...

Well I have a lady head and pin up tattooed on me and women scare the hell out of me in real life...ha ha. I know what you mean, I have a snake tattoo but don't mind holding them etc, but I'm still unsure of big spiders. Last time at the zoo with my young boys I held all the snakes and there was a taranchula in its box, I syked myself up and asked the lady if I could hold it "no, that ones pretty aggressive" was the reply. Still have a small spider filler tattoo on my list though.

I don't know where that is but people here are going to suggest that you either get tattooed by Mike Wilson or David Bruehl. You should listen to these people.

I looked up a picture Thomas took of my tattoo a few years back when it was in progress. - - - Updated - - - One of those arms is covered up...the other arm is being worked on. I still dislike most of my old arm tattoos.

And here I don't even have a hip pic that's less than ten years old. So...this is out in Washington state last year, near Sequim at a place called Eddy's Hook. And this is the ancient version...I THINK this pic is from about 96, 97, like that.

I just started this today at my gym. I'm using pretty moderate weight set-up. Not too light, not too heavy. It really was a good work out. I came out huffing and puffing. I'm chunky, but I wear it mostly just in my gut. I can run a 10k no problem. I use the app for my iPhone, and it keeps track of weight, caloric intake, etc. I'm sitting at 215 right now and I stand 6'1". Trying to keep my calories around 2100 a day. Also adding in long distance runs 2 times a week. I'll let you guys know where I am in about 9 weeks. Weight Loss Program | Full Fitness

Ok. You don't HAVE to be a nerd.... but it helps. I just need a little transparent gif logo created to tag photos with. Something that will be instantly recognizable at any size, using the letters OV. Helps me figure out where my photos are going.... The pay is AMAZING (ok.. it's not. I would try to send Margot Mifflin an email and ask if she has any sources on this info - she is the most likely person to have tracked this kind of thing down!

Got this today, sorry for the bad photo.

I do a bunch of research on the internet, and through various books that I own. I email myself photos of the different ideas that I have so that I can show them to whoever it is that I am getting tattooed by, and then I get to the shop don't show them any of the photos and then I get something completely different than I had planned on getting. This happens every time.

I only just found this thread.. awesome stuff. enjoying it. As I had all Japanese stuff on my lower legs I wanted to create a clean finish around the knee. Yushi Takei suggested to use an onigawara mask which I find spot on. Had my left knee done in a 4.5hr session which was ok but had to do some DYI the next weekend which was a bad idea as my knee was swollen and looked like an elephant knee.. but hey, was worth it. Right knee was done by Mo Coppoletta and healed all well.

This is currently my only tattoo, done by Johannes(Black Stallion Tattoo) who now works at Good Faith in Brookline, MA. I'd wanted a tattoo since I was 18. I'd been throwing around a lot of ideas in my head of band-related tattoos but couldn't settle on where I'd start. I'd been researching artists for a while and one day stumbled on the stencil for basically this bear that Johannes had on his Facebook saying that he wanted to do the bear on someone. No one had replied, so I volunteered and ended up getting it done at the Rochester convention in May.

Check this shit out! I guess this is what you get for tattooing both the back and front of your leg the same week... Notice how crazy the sockmarks are on my swollen leg, haha!
