  1. @else your knee looks awesome! Since Steve Byrne is the topic of conversation lately, I think it's time I stop lurking and contribute with my first post. I got this from Steve on my elbow a few months ago while he was in California at Port City. Great guy. Loved getting tattooed by him. Definitely plan on getting more tattoos from him.

Yeah that's me. He couldn't get the panther and tiger to work well so he drew the tiger fighting a snake. I'm really really really happy the way it turned out and I also got to take a look at his book. It's incredibly awesome and he hasn't started tattooing out of it yet, he wants to wait until it's completely full.

  6. Finished this awesome stained glass window panel for my commode (lol). It's my second piece I've ever done. Not the best photos to show it off since the light outside isn't too bright but you get the idea: Inspired by an Indian rug Started stained glass after my mom passed away a four months back. It's been nice to have something creative to sink my teeth into. - Lori

  14. Consult with Mo Coppoletta today in TFB for bringing down my left arm sleeve. It was good to see him, felt like I was going back to my tattoo collecting roots, because he was the first guy to do big work on me! The shop is still cool as ever. Roll on The first Friday in March so the work can begin...

    F*ck Cancer

Thank you for sharing your story. Attending the event was important to me as I lost both of my parents to cancer. My father was 60 and my mother was 70, they still had much more time and cancer took that away from them. So on the one year anniversary of losing my Mother I attended the Fck Cancer event. After she passed last year I went to Aaron Coleman to get a "MOM" tattoo so it was fitting to get something from him at the event. Like you said @Louisgoodwin it was a remarkable turn-out of tattooers and people supporting the event. Cheers to all that supported, in unity we have strength!

    F*ck Cancer

Supporting cancer is really important for what ever reason. I missed the event but did see a few posts on IG. I was diagnosed with stage 4 testicular cancer last year in April 2012, with help from the public our race of humans is (phucking cancer) and when i found out I feared the worst but was amazed by the advances in science. Its been a year now and i back on my feet and back with the lads in my UK based shop that I started in 2007, There is always a chance of it coming back and i have to be all clear for 5 years before I can relax. Fingers crossed, all my treatment chemotherapy (which sucked like you would not believe) has totally killed the tumour in my lymph node. If this was 5 years ago i would have not been here now, and this is due to people like you guys getting up and not just talking about it that has helped millions like me. We in the tattoo industry sit in a privileged position, directly in the public eye and we have such a large network of fellow colleges that getting the word around really works quick and effective. My self and my employes tattooed moustache for free at my shop for the day and we got coverage in the papers and the queue was down the road, it really was the talk of town. Seeing everyone here doing events like this makes me proud to be a tattooer. My heart goes out to the family and friends of any one involved. KEEP IT UP FOLKES IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE! louis

Cause I'm jelly I can't download this app I'm going to attempt to side track this thread.... Who here uses Voxer, it's a voice messaging app (think Nextel walkie talkie). But it will save your message like a normal chat app. Great for driving cause you can talk and not worry about the popo. Sends voice, text, pictures. Also another thing they didn't plan of this but it's great for finding out how drunk you get.... I've gone from sober to black out and cause I could listen to how much I was slurring I could tell when I should have stopped, but didn't. Great entertainment

  31. That's two so far with one more to go. As it was happening, I started to realize that longer, continuous lines would've actually been preferable to the short start-and-stop lines. The heaviest pain/shock is within the 1st second the needle touches my skin!

  35. So after much thought and not much planning, I've decided to head over to Europe for a week or so. I will be mainly going to travel to Zurich to visit friends of mine but I might be stopping in London or Norway as well as going to Berlin. I'm calling out to anyone who has ideas of tattoo shops or other random stop to stop by while I'm there (other than the obvious Frith St!).

  41. @gronk, you're entitled to get any type of tattoo that you want. that is everyone's prerogative. but many of have found, some through personal mistake, or seeing others, and just living for several decades, that tattoos have trends just like anything else. a good majority of us here realize that, and we stick to traditional american, japanese, and black and grey tattoos because we know they will still be relevant 10-20-30-50-100 years from now. that's right, my rotting corpse will still have relevant tats!

  42. That's why you either wear a long sleeved shirt or don't move your arm and run it under some warm water to get rid of that dried up plasma.... If it's stuck to your shirt then just wear it in the shower until it loosens up.. thanks to @hogg for that tip, helped me a few times with my back.

    Our bad tattoos

My very first (24 years ago!). It was flash on the wall and the only thing I could afford. I sat down in that chair and thought I was the coolest thing ever. It was the closest tattoo I could find that looked like the Expolited logo and it matched my haircut at the time. As bad as it is, I can't bring myself to cover it up. So sentimental still....
