@else your knee looks awesome! Since Steve Byrne is the topic of conversation lately, I think it's time I stop lurking and contribute with my first post. I got this from Steve on my elbow a few months ago while he was in California at Port City. Great guy. Loved getting tattooed by him. Definitely plan on getting more tattoos from him.

Drove my girl down to All Star in Limerick yesterday. She had an appointment to get tattooed by Forrest Cavacco. Ended up with a really nice chrysanthemum and leaves on her ribs. Forrest = a super nice guy (wouldn't mind getting tattooed by him in the future myself, just because of that- although I love his Japanese style anyway). I'm back in All Star myself next week, cannot wait now. Awesome selection of original flash and paintings on the walls by some of the greats, old and new.

Booked in with Chris O'donnell, but not till mid July, pretty excited.

There should be some kind of rule that only Lehi or Whitehead can do Black Metal tattoos. (outside of getting Fenriz to tat something random and German Techno related, on you) Of course, rules are made to be broken. Here's my tiger. It's pretty gnarly looking right now. I wouldn't share it any place but here, but I know y'all will understand. Totally in love with the thing! And now I have one big cat on each leg - total protection from evil eh? Man! I'm so swollen!! Can't even fit my leg in most of my pants!!

@gronk, you're entitled to get any type of tattoo that you want. that is everyone's prerogative. but many of have found, some through personal mistake, or seeing others, and just living for several decades, that tattoos have trends just like anything else. a good majority of us here realize that, and we stick to traditional american, japanese, and black and grey tattoos because we know they will still be relevant 10-20-30-50-100 years from now. that's right, my rotting corpse will still have relevant tats!

That's why you either wear a long sleeved shirt or don't move your arm and run it under some warm water to get rid of that dried up plasma.... If it's stuck to your shirt then just wear it in the shower until it loosens up.. thanks to @hogg for that tip, helped me a few times with my back.

I'm getting a panther fighting a tiger. Part of it is a cover-up. I'm not going spill the beans on the designs that are in the book if he allows me to take a look...but I will tell you how awesome they are.

We saw Charlie and "the waitress" at a playground a couple months ago. Their son went on the swing after our daughter. We're huge fans!!

I've got a large cover-up on my upper-arm that was put together using pieces of three different flash pieces. Worked out well. CTC has always had a huge amount of flash, first on the wall, then on flip-panels, and it ranges from old, old familiar pieces, through the decades. You can really trace the history of tattoing, say from the forties through today. There is old traditional designs gotten from tattooers long ago and far away, to iconic sixties and seventies flash, to modern stuff. If you are in a decent shop, you should be able to find something, or pieces of something, that can be made into whatever it is you are looking for.

Any good tattooer will probably tell you that: #1 They will not do a white only tattoo #2 They will not tattoo your palms or hands(unless you are a tattooer or "heavily tattooed", whatever the requirement is for that...Generally, at the shop I work at, we don't tattoo hands, faces or necks unless you already have previous tattoos in one of those place or you are a tattooer.) #3 White pigment turns yellow over time and basically looks like dried skeet Your hands exfoliate a lot and the skin there acts way differently than other places. A responsible tattooer will explain to you the subtleties of this. Most notably, anything on fingers, hands, and palms, will fade quickly and not look very good. The issues with skin combined with the fact that white ages into a sort of yellow when by itself should be enough to make you think twice about this. I see a whole lot of people come in looking for white tattooes and after someone explains the problems to them, they usually change their tone.
