I'll throw this one in. Portrait of J.E.B. Stuart done by Josh Brown (James River Tattoo). I should mention this was done in 45 minutes. I was just told to hang on.10 points -
this picture reminds me of the scene in Home Alone when Joe Pesci grabs the door knob that Macaulay Culkin rigged to be burning hot and is left with a scar of the door knob's decorative pattern.9 points

White tattoos on palms or finger tips?
David Flores and 3 others reacted to Iwar for a topic
I've met a couple people with tattoos done entirely with white ink. The impression I was left with was that they both had a desire to get tattoos, but the permanency of one was too scary, so an all white tattoo was a compromise they felt they could deal with. No one notices it on a day to day basis, but you can still show it off to your friends and say you have a tattoo. I hate white tattoos... But I like white chocolate :cool:4 points -

White tattoos on palms or finger tips?
Jack and 3 others reacted to Brock Varty for a topic
Any good tattooer will probably tell you that: #1 They will not do a white only tattoo #2 They will not tattoo your palms or hands(unless you are a tattooer or "heavily tattooed", whatever the requirement is for that...Generally, at the shop I work at, we don't tattoo hands, faces or necks unless you already have previous tattoos in one of those place or you are a tattooer.) #3 White pigment turns yellow over time and basically looks like dried skeet Your hands exfoliate a lot and the skin there acts way differently than other places. A responsible tattooer will explain to you the subtleties of this. Most notably, anything on fingers, hands, and palms, will fade quickly and not look very good. The issues with skin combined with the fact that white ages into a sort of yellow when by itself should be enough to make you think twice about this. I see a whole lot of people come in looking for white tattooes and after someone explains the problems to them, they usually change their tone.4 points -

Opposite side of the coin... I'm skinny, too skinny according to some. Fuck those people that think you're too fat, too skinny, etc. Nice Tattoos can do a lot for your own self image. When you really feel good about yourself it can change the way the rest of the world sees you.4 points

What's your longest tattoo session?
Brock Varty and 2 others reacted to ben stone for a topic
the longest tattoo session i took was 6.5 hours from Theo Jak at Infamous in Stockholm, however the longest session i did was 10 hours in the back of New model army's tour bus in a hotel car park in Warsaw in 1999, i was sat on a beer crate and our bus driver was draped over the cling filmed sofas in the back lounge as i tattooed a full back cross and scroll on his back, this was only the third tattoo i had ever done and i did it all with a 7 liner, he was one tough guy THEN four days later i put some clouds over the top of the design in a hotel in Paris3 points -

So after much thought and not much planning, I've decided to head over to Europe for a week or so. I will be mainly going to travel to Zurich to visit friends of mine but I might be stopping in London or Norway as well as going to Berlin. I'm calling out to anyone who has ideas of tattoo shops or other random stop to stop by while I'm there (other than the obvious Frith St!).2 points -
I've already got my panther in the contest thread... I don't want my big cats to have to fight it out with one another! - - - Updated - - - He was so easy going and fun to get tattooed by too! And seriously, gentle as a kitten, I was scared about the knee but it wasn't at all bad. I think the Chad Koeplinger panther hurt more. I would go back to him ALL THE TIME if I lived near Austin permanently. - - - Updated - - - Oh Lord! That sounds AWFUL!! You poor thing!2 points

White tattoos on palms or finger tips?
reverend1 and one other reacted to slayer9019 for a topic
I will say this coming from not a tattooer but someone who is very very pale and has white in my tattoos. You will need contrast for the white to show up and not look yellowish. That being said I would say skip the white palm/fingertip tattoo and go with black. Plus I'm not too sure how many people tattoo palms especially since you are far from covered. Your mileage may vary2 points -

Huck Spaulding R.I.P
chrislj54 and one other reacted to Jojo Ackermann for a topic
Well all i can say is weather you agreed with Huck as a business man or not he was a huge part of the tattoo world and for that we all can agree. Some hated him because he was the biggest tattoo supplier name for years and years with advertisement in almost every magazine selling starter kits and what seems to have become the blue print to shops and stores that are now selling supplies with no inhibitions. Others knew him as the ex-business partner of the late Paul Rogers and also have an opinion of him from those stories, but many of us were in the Spaulding starter kit generation and the book A-Z was a large part of our beginning into the tattoo world. so it seems that no matter what side you were on in the world where Huck Spaulding was we have indeed lost a huge part of an older tattoo world and with that said, R.I.P. Huck.2 points -

It's weird, I've met quite a few tattooers, and never once have I been handcuffed by one to a cell door and been beaten till I shit myself. And then been left to sleep on the floor with no mattress for two weeks. Great comparison though!1 point
