    Chest/Torso Tattoos

I found this photo the other week, but forgot to put the artists name etc on the file before I saved it so if anyone knows so I can give credit please feel free to give the heads up! I should also add it's most likely NSFW, but it does show that with some good placement, a young lady could easily get a bad ass Pharaoh's Horses ;) - - - Updated - - - While I'm here... This was done recently by Dan Bursell at Westside Tattoo - Brisbane, QLD - Spa, Beauty & Personal Care | Facebook This was the kids second tattoo. Doing it right and winning at life.

Wherein @phickey has a quietly devastating idea for a tattoo... ...the idea is affirmed by @hogg... And subsequently blows up LST with the results.

  11. Before the convention (over email) we had discussed doing something "hindu inspired" which I guess is what he's into these days. A few nights before the big day I had this dream that I was watching a documentary about "shamanic battles against evil" and Chad was interviewed in the documentary and was showing all these pictures of big cat tattoos and discussing how they were especially powerful against evil forces. So when I got there and we started talking about what to do I told him about my dream and he drew it up for me right there. :D

One of the many things I found disturbing was how much skin he has left. She's cute, he's a dick, hope her parents have a lot of money.

  26. Mary Jane Haake is an amazing and beautiful lady that has been tattooing in Portland for 31 years, she apprenticed under Bert Grimm. Her work now mostly consists of reconstructive work on burn victims, breast cancer patients, wounded soldiers, which I personally think is a really cool thing to do. She kind of holds things together in Portland is the best way I can put it. She works as kind of a liaison to the health department , keeping us up to date on any new laws or restrictions. It seems like whenever you have an issue you can always call Mary Jane, and she is willing to listen and help. She throws a birthday party every year, with food, live bands, and such and I have been lucky enough to be able to tag alone with boss man a few times. It's always a great time and usually end up meeting some pretty legendary people in the tattoo world there. Here is a video of her talking about her career, Bert Grimm and tattooing penis and butt crack among other things. She is also the only person I know that uses a coil machine to tattoo to do cosmetic tattooing.

I don't know, when the article starts with "About a month ago, Rouslan Toumaniantz, a well known and sometimes notorious Belgium-based tattoo artist (of Tattoo Box in Kortrijk), and Lesya, a designer living at the time in Saransk, a city in central Russia started talking via chat (Rouslan speaks fluent Russian) and realized they had a lot in common, and quickly began falling head over heels in love" and then the next step is the dude tattooing his name on her face, I think they should both be called out and made fun of, because that is some bullshit right there.

@Dan S have you seen the guy? Shouldn't be too hard for one of these women to kick his ass themselves. Dudes with these kinds of sociopathic and misogynistic egos are never very tough at the end of the day.

    Upcoming Tattoos

Inner arm even near my armpit did not bother me. Interesting feeling, but not bad at all. One of my sessions was particularly long but halfway through I did get the Bactine treatment!!! After that I felt absolutely nothing. So, I guess I cheated. Still, there were a few hours there of pre-Bactine...no tears.

  46. Yeah, whenever we go to Brooklyn we are pretty blown away by the quality of tattoos seemingly everybody around us is sporting. In our neighbourhood here in Montreal, everyone is tattooed too, but the difference in quality is staggering. It does mean that we really notice folks wearing great work here. If we lived in Brooklyn I bet we'd be all "another dude with Thomas Hooper sleeves? YAWN." :)

  47. I think Im lucky to live in a tattoo city. Austin has a shit ton of shops and many of them are great to decent. As a result, a lot of even the shitty hipster tattoos are well executed. Of course, there is plenty of crap, but a LOT of people are tattooed, and we have Rock Of Ages, True Blue, Atomic, Ancient Ink, etc. Shit, Chris Trevino if you are patient enough. Its a nice place to be.

  50. Congrats to your wife Hogg! And to you too--all partners of dissertation writers are saints. For real. I did my PhD in the UK but have been back in Canada for a few years now, so defending meant a whirlwind trip back to the UK (I arrived last Thursday morning for my Friday defense and just got back yesterday), which I am still recovering from. INTENSE.
