Well just finished my Raijin. Seriously love the little extra touches Regino Gonzalez

5 weeks until I set out for San Francisco to get tattooed by Grime :D

Excuse the picture, I think I was standing crooked and my modesty-preserving stick-on bra cups were all askew :P Anyway, tattoo is by Rachi at Black Throne. So far that's about 2 and a half hours, with around 1 hour to go. The bottle is going to be gold, and some little highlights will be added on the wings. It's a Resurrection Phial from the game Fable (one of my all time favourites). I used numbing cream, but it wore off pretty fast :/

When you stop having "late to work/school" stress dreams and begin to have "late for a tattoo appointment" dreams. I overslept, and then couldn't find my pants or the power bars I like to bring, and for some reason I was in San Francisco when I was supposed to be in New York...

I have booked in two sessions for my back piece with Marius Meyer in January and February. I also have an appointment with Timothy Hoyer in March / April.

Yep I got a huge tiger tattoo from my shoulders all the way down to my knee, covering half my butt. I would post the pic, but it seems a bit inappropriate so here is the Link . it's the middle one.

We're talking about making a snake & skull combo on the whole front of the thigh. We will do the tattoo in one big session. He comes to Norway in March / April, so do not know the dates yet. I am very excited to getting tattooed by him. Oh, great! What are you guys working on? @ChrisM

I just recently moved away from NYC where I worked with my friends/tattoo family at Thicker Than Water in the East Village. I just moved to Portland, OR and am currently looking for a new shop to call home out here as well as some new people to befriend and paint/hang with. I've been tattooing for a little over 2 years now and always trying to push on and move forward and learn as much as I can. I don't do much but paint all the time. I'm amazed at the incredible art work that is able to be put on skin! I'm amazed at the ingenuity, the skill, and the obvious talent of so many, many, many tattoo artists out there. Until I started coming here and following a bunch of tattooers on Instagram I had NO IDEA that so many spectacular tattoos are being done in the world. I remember looking at old tattoo magazines at my uncle's house when I was a teenager and thinking that they were amazing - but it was so unreal to me - stuff in a magazine y'know. And then tattooing was illegal in Oklahoma until not too many years ago - not to say that there weren't tattoos happening, but it was all fairly hush hush (and most of them weren't very good) and I never thought to look to see what else was out there. And now my mind is blown every. single. day. Perhaps the most amazing thing of all - great tattoos are accessible to just about everybody. You don't have to be famous, or wealthy, or otherwise connected to be able to get an awesome tattoo. It takes just a little bit of research and attention to what is going on out there. AMAZING!! It's one of the coolest things ever. I regret that I have been missing out on all this for so long.

Since I just finished my Raijin, I get to start on my dragon! Plus we are going to start the background as well. Squidpant will be done soon!

Had from my shoulders all the way down to my ankles outlined in one go, i'd say the hamstring was worse than arse, but the worst was back of knee *shudder*, and its still all gotta be shaded....

I love how many times he makes it a point to say he has "no rules." Invariably, that's a sign someone's trying way too hard.

It's weird, I've met quite a few tattooers, and never once have I been handcuffed by one to a cell door and been beaten till I shit myself. And then been left to sleep on the floor with no mattress for two weeks. Great comparison though!

Hi all. So, so freaking glad I found you guys. I'm a downtown, 45-year-old who got my first tattoo earlier this week. It was a reward for staying clean (oh, the joys of crack cocaine: took my marriage, every cent I had ever saved, my home and for a long time, my health) for three years, and I've been planning it about that long. I think it would be fair to say that I'm hooked. I'm starting to plan my next tat as a reward after I lose some of the weight my medication (see health problems, above) put on me. After thinking my life was over a few years ago and clawing myself back out of the black hole I was in, my simple new tattoo ("courage" on my forearm) makes me happy every single time I look at it. Anyway, glad to be here.

There ARE bad people in every profession. The big differance with bad people being in the cop profession is that good people end up in jail, not just stuck with a bad education, bad service or bad tattoo. Bad cops are generally people who are insufficient at everything else and can only live on the rush that being "powerfull" can provide them. Sad for them and sad for us, too.
