This is executed so well... the snakes, the facial expression, the teeth, everything about it is spot on. - - - Updated - - - Here's my Dietzel lady head from Nick Colella, pretty sure I haven't posted this in here yet. Sorry, don't know how to resize.4 points -

Tattooers with little to no tattoos
Shannon Shirley and one other reacted to posterboy7596 for a topic
This is certainly just my 2 cents, but for me it would be a personal connection thing. One of my favorite things about getting tattooed is listening to some of the great stories artists have about getting tattooed themselves. There's a camaraderie I feel with other tattooed people that I just don't know I'd feel with someone who isn't very tattooed. This is really all just speculation for me though because I've not found anybody I'm eager to get tattooed by that isn't heavily tattooed.2 points -

Yeah, Da Wei is here in the Bay Area. I've always wondered if he had any tattoos. As for his work, it's good--if you're into that sort of thing. I'll defer to Bob Roberts, who says that wildlife realism tattoos are like taxidermy.2 points -

i think i might be back. but i can't get too distracted as this semester is the first one doing "real" science and math. August has been a blast! i saw 3 rattlesnakes, learned how to mist-net and handle bats while camping in Tahoe National Forrest, handled 6 bats (5 on the trip and one last Friday during my volunteer shift at Wildcare), and performed my first necropsy yesterday on a opossum that had been attacked by a dog (or at least i'm guessing that due to the large wound it had). it's all kind of creepy crawly science shit, but it's been life changing and i love it!2 points

Since beginning my journey into fitness/health (52lbs lost as of yesterday's weigh in!) I've been getting much more inventive with cooking; i'd always relied on fat, salt, etc to make things taste good. Now that Im cooking more balanced meals I've had to really stretch myself to make it interesting and satisfying while maintaining the caloric guidelines I set on myself. I've been really pleased with how things are coming out, and was recently asked to teach a 'healthy cooking' class for my weight loss group. Oh. And I celebrate every 10lbs lost with foie gras and charcuterie, so I'm not a total square!2 points -

Jesse stopped in to our shop a month or 2 ago & sold his book to me & another guy here. He reminisced about working there for a sec and copied some of our flash that he plans to make new paintings of. Can't wait to see how they look.1 point

Personally I like a belt but I wear it only on my very top sets of deadlifts and squats , for that reason I go for a power-lifting style belt . As you want a belt as snug as possible those very popular padded models are worthless ,I feel if you're going to wear one it should be a decent one and a good belt will last you a lifetime .The top companies are Cardillo inc and INZER ADVANCE DESIGNS or something similar , being in Texas I know theres other companies in your area as it seems the powerlifting bad-lands .1 point

Well after being desk bound since Highschool I've lost all strength I worked hard to get and ballooned from 180 to 265 when I went to college. Back down to 219 now and continuing to work my ass off. Hardest part is getting my ass moving and need to quit smoking. My future rib tattoo is my serious motivation!1 point -

Finally got some awesomeness to post up. Had a busy weekend! I picked up a Jeep which I took off-roading a bit. Picked up my friend did a quick tour of the 3 states around me (NYC, NY, PA). Next day we hit the shooting range, shooting the AK, S&W .45 and the S&W 500 till the barrels got hot (couldn't even hold the ak anymore! easily 1000 rounds each). Followed all up with a big party for some of our out of town friends that came in for a visit.1 point -
I'm getting tattooed by Tim Hendricks at the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum 2 weeks from now. It's gonna be a pirate-lady head based on the famous Bert Grimm flash piece.1 point

I just love the way this show has put me so completely on edge at all times. When Skyler came home and looked out at the pool i was damn near convinced she was heading out to try to kill herself, then when Walt Jnr was pushing Holly around the pool i kept expecting one/both of them to fall in1 point -

Fuck foot tattoos so glad i'm done! I got mine done when I first was in the Navy and went with the pig and rooster but did it a little different then most because everyone had the Sailor Jerry ones. Another interesting one i've seen was fog horn leg horn and porky pig. I thought those were pretty awesome.1 point -

@Liz Stitch Ellis...congrats on the amazing accomplishment. For me, this past week was pretty good... I went to a game at Yankee Stadium, took a nice long motorcycle ride to get some kick ass bbq, found a cool little unknown tattoo shop loaded with amazing flash and spent some time at the indoor shooting range. A very therapeutic week but reality set in quickly back at work today.1 point
