Thought I'd upload these images of my Dad's tattoo's, hope they maybe of interest. They were done between 1963-65 in Brighton, UK by Alan Bonnick.

    What do you stand for?

Personally, I stand for taxonomy. Taxonomy is the practice of classifying information and placing it in categories. For instance, on this board we have categories for a number of different types of information. One of those is "Random Crap" toward the bottom of the main forum sections page, where this type of discussion belongs. I guess that makes me authoritarian?

  6. I feel bad for anyone who has to be around that woman at any point during their day, be it at work, at home or because they are friends. What an ignorant fucking cunt. How about you get over yourself and realize that your children aren't 3 year olds anymore and there isn't shit you can do about it. If she really loved her son as much as she claims, she'd have no problem over looking something so superficial and realize he's the same little boy she raised, and he's turned out the way he has because of how she raised him.

It's far from finished, and there's far to go yet, but here's a picture of the progress on my backpiece. This is after three sessions and a total of 10.5 hours of tattooing.

Man I fucking love Bio-Dome. Not even joking. That movie has a special place in my childhood and heart. As @Paulywhore let you all know in another thread, I'm a whore, so I only stand when men with money demand it. Seriously, why is this guy still here?

    What do you stand for?

Here's something to say...you made this thread bogus without any help from anyone. What people are trying to tell you is that there is a very politically diverse group here, all shades of the spectrum from Left to Right. Why bitch-up a tattoo forum with political stuff? You got zip. Why should anyone spend the time to formulate a big, heavy, theological response to a lame question? I mean, shit, at least you could spend a minute trying to make it look a little bit like you're trying. Windows to the soul? Fuck are you on??? Only sensible thing you've got in here.

  14. It seems like those two categories are essentially the same thing. Also, there are some design threads getting thrown in the those two (like I would think the Full Back Piece thread should be in Designs.) As for naming conventions, I think calling the combined Tattoo 101 and War Stories something like "General Tattoo" will cut down on 1) people asking about tattooing advice ("101" implies school/education) 2) War Stories sounds like a place to vent, which I think gets covered pretty well in Random Crap. Just putting that out there.

    What do you stand for?

You realize this is a TATTOO forum- you know, tattoos, those pictures we permanently stick on our very impermanent bodies. Some are good and some are bad from a technical perspective, some are thought out and planned and some are seemingly chosen at whim, but perhaps based out of a lower drive in our id. But whatever the case, this is most certainly a virtual forum about tattoos in a virtual space called the internet. You can argue that this is real all you want, but in my opinion, it will have little effect on what happens to me, sitting at this keyboard as I hunt and peck this out. You want to affect real change, get offline and do something. You're concerned about the treatment of women, life, consciousness or the country you're from, get out, volunteer and do something about it. Or have circular arguments with random strangers on the internet, many of whom I should point out, aren't even from your country. It's your life, not mine indeed.

    What do you stand for?

@Kev, I'm an advanced hunt-and-pecker myself. I'll stand and drink a beer to that! - - - Updated - - - I also stand for the greatness of this film, @Paulywhore probably agrees. All jokes aside. Everybody stands for something. We are a bunch of tattooed folks who have diverse political and socio-economical backgrounds. If you want to know what we stand for, why not make the question less vague. Like, "Hey CultExciter, are you socially liberal?" And my answer would be, "Sure, for the most part. I don't care what other people do with their lives as long as they don't care what I do with mine."

  27. I'm convinced that a 2x12 is all anyone ever needs for live guitar. Having ran the gamut of combos and full-stacks, I'll sell amp heads all day, but I will never get rid of my Orange 2x12.

  30. Great to come back to this thread and see what every one has been up too. Especially happy to see that it is in fact a fellow forum member who is getting that crazy Chris O'Donnell Wolf-piece. Can't wait to see it finished, thought the idea was rad even when I only saw the sketches. As for me I am waiting for this friday when I finally get my time with Deno at Stockholm Inkbash, in early october I am starting my major knee piece with Joel Madberg SOOS, later this week I'm meeting Iain Mullen to talk about putting in the lower part of my right sleeve. Aaaand.. hopefully I can get on Peter Lagergrens list for 2013 and make that upsidedown ROA on my thigh. I declare these 10 coming months until summer 2013 to be the year of big pieces!

Head's up... Dallas, we had a couple last fucking minute cancellations, so I am pushing out leaving Tulsa another 4-5 days or so...I am not satisfied with where we are at... it seems as only now things are starting to roll, but that's life... We're having fun, but super tired, and hot... the ac in the old whorehouse hasn't been on, it's brand new but the wiring and circuitry is really old, and kinda rigged up as opposed to put together.... we have demo'd, what needed to come down, and are now building the inner bones of the shop... He only has two appointments so holler... lot's of time open, if not, we're grabbing motorcycles, gear, and a few other important things that need to be home... and HOME is now Tulsa, OK... thank god. I'm so tired, I'm sorry I haven't posted a bunch, or even been onsite, but all is well and if you need to get ahold of me, it doesn't take that much to do it. . . :) And, still got time, in Harker Heights, SFO, Richmond, and whatnot... so holler.

  35. So I finally watched this shit. And with as.. confusing (?) as it was, it's more sad than anything. Girl was obviously super fucked up and has a ton of shit she's dealing with and to me, it's more infuriating that this was "a thing" and a "sensation." I don't really have a good response here.. I hope she's figured out how to wipe.
