  1. Just got booked in for a small one with Deno at the London Tattoo Convention. I wasn't going to get tattooed there this year but I have no will power.

  7. So, am I correct in understanding that Koeplinger is going to be spending the entire convention tattooing LST posters and their significant others? Y'all have cornered the market on him! And @eisen777 - awesome on Mr. Christian. He is very much on my own list. (Also, my respects to you guys who are cool with getting multiple tattoos in a weekend. I have never found tattoos to be very painful, but I do find they sap my energy, and I kind of can't imagine getting a lot of work in close succession like that--especially a back and then a kneecap! Wow.) Finally, I told my partner the appointments you guys are lining up and it weakened his already weak resolve to try and not get tattooed at the convention, in order to save his money and energy for some big work he's starting in the next little while. Peer pressure!

  10. I say jump and enjoy the ride. If anything can shake you out of stagnation, its challenging yourself with new experiences. I absolutely love living in Portland. Its not for everyone. Just know that readjusting to a new living enviroment takes a bit of effort as you may know already. Finding new habits, which grocery store to hit on the way home, coffee shop to enjoy some catch up writing, restaurants to haunt, etc. Remember to get out to our countryside to recharge. Good luck on your new adventure. Cheers, M

  11. What a fucking waste of ink. Hmmmm how can I as a barely tattooed and not super attractive chick get all the attention at a convention in Miami where some of the sexiest hoes live? I know I'll show my asshole to everyone!!! It seems like her asshole doesn't smell to great either, I've never seen a tattooer wearing face mask before. She's probably a stripper and I'm surprised she's even wearing that poor excuse for a skirt. This is the type of chick that makes idiots on the street ask me things like "If I asked to see all your tattoos would you get naked right now?". Thanks whore. p.s. lay off the fucking cocaine.

So what's the etiquette on ass and taint hair when it comes to getting a back piece that goes to the lower hamstrings? I think I'd be too embarrassed to do anything less than waxing. Full male Brazilian waxing.

  15. As promised here are (finally) some shots of what I got from Matt Cunnington Westside Tattoo - Professional Services - Brisbane, QLD | Facebook about a month ago. I apologise for the crappy pics, but its a hard spot to take your own photos of. And the pics are off a phone so be nice lol. I missed out on the Flash day that they had and rang in on the right day at the right time and bypassed a long ass waiting list. Matt came in on his day off because he really wanted to do it and ended up completely redrawing the design fresh to fit my leg and add some ground to it. It was a really amazing experience and Matt is a gentleman and a scholar. I wish these photos did the tattoo justice so I'll upload better ones when I can (there's about 4 or 5 shades in the pattern on the little guys back)

  18. obviously I have nothing against tattoos and my husband has a bunch, but as a mother, I would be sad if my babies got any tattoos....that being said, i would be sad if they pierced their ears, dyed their hair, get scars on their bodies because to me, they are perfect, little, soft skinned babies...my babies. and even when they are hairy, smelly men, I will probably always think of them as these perfect, yummy smelling babies. Shit, i prolonged them getting their first haircuts for the longest time. @steve1461686340, @Lochlan, and @Barbie Doll can attest to that.

  19. Thank you. Absolutely. I love that excitement and know that is will truly foster some good progression. I think the daunting aspect is just the how/what/when of such a major move. It'll happen if I stay focused.

  28. Yeah it was Shawn Porter of OccultVibrations Fame. It was in an old thread, I think it was "terms that drive you crazy" and someone brought up "leg sleeves" ... I can't remember the details. It's just a stupid inside joke of LST.

  36. Relevant True Story: I was recently getting tattooed by Chad at the Cleveland convention and he was talking about full back+butt pieces and how he thought they looked dumb if they didn't go allllll the way into the butt crack. You heard it here first: Chad Koeplinger will tattoo in and around your butthole.

  37. she was probably thinking "Hmmm, how can i get some attention, I know!! get a tattoo around my rectum while having only some tape on my chest, and hope i don't fart during the tattoo. or else my letter will look like a penis and that would just send the wrong message..."

  38. If you can't sit through 20 minutes of getting tattooed, you probably don't deserve to get tattooed. In my opinion, it's a good thing they hurt because it keeps people who shouldn't have them away...

  39. I don't happen to know Nick personally, I was just entertained by this thread. But I"d like to point out how impressed I was by his commentary on Tattoo Reality Shows. Many tattooists have many things to say about the shows, but all these comments can be put into 2 very basic categories, POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE. Since tattoo reality shows debuted, most commentary Ive read by most artists has been overwhelmingly negative, to the point where I more often feel like shutting the critics down than the shows, because there have been many positive elements of tattooing brought to the public light by the shows as well as a lot of BS, and they have done a lot to increase foot traffic in shops all over the world, and that helps ke4ep the doors open and the lights on...but please take notice...Mr. Colella had NO negative things to say. He only had constructive commentary to give, and that little bit said showed me more class, confidence, and maturity than almost any other commentary I've heard from any other tattooist about the shows. Now please note, I haven't heard every commentary, by every artist, but I have heard A LOT. That says a lot for Nick Colella's character. BTW-the artist he mentioned that gave him his last tattoo...Eric Gillespie...of(at one point) Tomato Tattoo in Chicago...solid artist, and down to earth guy. Had to give that plug as well
