Just got home from getting tattooed by Chad Koeplinger at the Cleveland Convention. Awesome experience and Mario Desa, Greg Christian, and Mike Wilson were just chilling nearby chatting with Chad as it he tattooed me. Awesome experience. This is on my leg, I realize it looks like an arm.

I didn't get tattooed, but i made a trip to Amsterdam with a friend this last weekend and saw the museum. If you haven't been go. Then go again. And just so there's something to look at: (it's a good thing she took this picture, because i can't find my ticket anymore.)

Franz turns out some really nice work. He guested at a studio in my home town earlier this year. I missed out this time but if he ever returns! - - - Updated - - - That is so good! - - - Updated - - - Tattooed by Steve Boltz at Frith Street Tattoos. What a fuckin great weekend.

I have a copy of Blue Skin coming. It's PAL/region 2, but we'll see what I can do about converting it ::cool:

yeah....the Mike Perfetto thing is kind of an all day experience BUT if you are like 4-5 on the list then you can always leave and come back as long as you are there when it is time to get tattooed! He's not that far away from some good pizza and some cool little shops all within a 5 -10 minute walk (that's what we did) I was #6 on the list....I got there around 4pm and didn't get tattooed til almost 10:30pm! BUT....I had a blast there....walking up around the corner and getting some awesome food....Tony Polito stopped by to hang out with me.....talked to the other customers and everyone was cool! In fact there was a regular there that had work from Coney Island Freddie (Mike's uncle....I think) as well as some work from Brooklyn Blackie! It was definitely an awesome experience...and probably the closest experience to how it really was 30+ years ago! I think Mike opens the door earlier than 4pm so that people can sign the list.....maybe around 1-2pm if I remember right....but he doesn;t start tattooing until 4pm! Just call the shop and ask if you want! Also think about getting tattooed by Steve Delgatto who isn't too far away! Krooked Ken is a co-owner of Powerhouse Tattoo and he was tattooing there pretty regularly when they opened the doors.....you should def call and see when he is tattooing there again! Ken does very clean work! Can't imagine anyone at Powerhouse not being a solid artist! Yeah....you guys around the NYC area have a plethora of incredible tattoo artist to choose from!

Chris Smith (Deluxe Tattoo) did this on me a little over two weeks ago... More or less healed now, bar some of the red on the kneecap still being a little raised up.

I drove all the way from Toronto, Canada to Oakland and back to get tattooed by Freddy Corbin at Temple.

Dunno how I feel about the opening of season 5. Still thinking it over. I am glad that they are showing things starting to hit the fan in big ways. Most shows would let you live the fairy tale for the whole series that you could be a huge drug dealer and never get caught. I wonder how this will pan out. I wonder if the computer trick worked? What's gonna come of what they found near the computer? Is Walt the new Gus? Ok yeah, after typing that I do like the new episode.

in all seriousness, there are a bunch of timeless tattoo designs that incorporate cards and gambling. just talk to a tattooer that you'd be interested in going to and i'm sure they could hook you up.

Risk / Reward? How about a pinup of a smoking hot 15 year old :-)

if i'm not mistaken, Krooked Ken owns that shop but doesn't regularly tattoo at powerhouse. he's mainly in MD.

I'm hoping that there will be a meetup in SF if I can book it for State of Grace.

I didn't realize Krooked Ken also worked at a shop in NJ, that's pretty cool. NJ/NY people are spoiled, living blocks from tattoo shops with artists like Krooked Ken and not even realizing it. Not to mention the plethora of amazing artists and shops in that area, ugh, I'm just jealous. Though, I can't say that I'd be particularly fond of living in NYC.

Going to Mike Perfetto's is an experience you should do at least once in your life.The only drawback,is that he opens at 4pm,and there's usually people already waiting there to be first in line.It's more like an all day thing,then just walking in off the street and getting tattooed.It's better to go with a friend and make a day out of it. If your in N.Jersey,check out POWERHOUSE TATTOO CO. and http://www.jerseycitytattoo.com/ Another good shop that's out of the way is IMMORTAL INK OFFICIAL WEBSITE in Clinton..They have a real nice shop,with plenty of capable tattooers.You should be able to get a walk-in there too.

Wow looks like a fun shop and a cool guy! Might have to swing by! I am definitely looking for a walk in point to flash and get tattooed in the same day experience. I like getting custom pieces and going to custom shops but I feel I need that on-the-spot tattoo experience.

@Lochlan I figured I was going to end up playing the waiting game. Maybe I'll show some before and after pics, not to keen on putting my tattoos out on the internet. but now I know if I'm planning a night of hard drinking, knee pads.... Like if I ever find myself in Oakland with D, hella gonna wear some pads.
