Here's my half sleeve in progress. Half shaded and the inside of the arm has nothing on it yet. By Frej Lind @ Royal Arch Tattoo in Västerås, Sweden. My next appointments are to get this side of the arm finished up and also one with Deno at Stockholm Inkbash in august. He's giving me a monkey contemplating a human skull. It's going to be fun!

So while we were at Smith Street I had an Aunt come over to bring my sunglasses that I left at her place. I was in a group of four and I was being worked on by Steve Boltz. My Aunt asked my friend if he had ever been tattoo there before. He said "No" and tells her that I'm the one who knew about the shop and told him about it. She yells to me across the counter "How did you know about this place..." I replied "Everybody knows about this place!" As I say that I look at Steve and he has a smirk and let's out a small chuckle!!!!

Bailey Robinson put a spider on my foot today. I'm pleased!

Booked in with Steve Boltz in just over a month. Can't wait. Trying to decide between a Rock of Ages and Pharaohs Horses or just something random on the day. Whatever I get I'm sure it's going to be incredible :D

Finally finished my ROA. Sorry I don't have a healed pic yet I did this in 2 months (finished June 5th) so everything is really fresh and now I'm deployed so I cant take photos of it =\.

That's cunning... I like it.. Next time someone in our house is complaining about the amount of appointments I am making for tattoos I will explain, calmly, that whereas we used to figure appointments on an annual basis we are now working it out on a monthly basis. Hence, every four weeks, the slate is wiped clean - obviously. I can see how this plan will necessitate me selling the contents of our home in order to fund it, but at least I'll have badass tattoos when I am sleeping on the sofa. If I can't find a buyer for the sofa, that is.

Just got back from New York. I had such a great time. Along with some pretty hillarous attempts navigating the NYC subway system for the first time. Here are the tattoos from Bailey Hunter Robinson. And from Eli Quinters at Smith Street. Both really fantastic studios but so different from each other. Baileys is really quiet and intimate and Smith Street is really buzzing. I could sit on the john in the washroom at Smith Street all day just looking at the flash on the walls. Eli and I have the same tattoo on the same thumb (a fly). Originally I was going to get a rose tattoo from Eli. Anyway just up the road from the hotel I found this great shop that sold some really good beer. I saw this beer called Coney Island Lager. On the label was a picture of the Coney Island Steeplechase Guy and that was it. Also met up with @Reyeslv at Smith Street on Sunday. He got a great tattoo from Steve Boltz and we had a really nice chat.

damnit i thought that photo had been destroyed! Stupid myspace. Now you all know the truth, I'm an old orange body builder with no tattoos :( Feel free to drop and ban hammers (although i can crush them with my muscles so it won't matter!!!)

My apologies if this is a dupe, but I can't find it in my media, so I'm thinking I didn't put this one up. Nick Colella at CTC did this for me a few weeks back, the eagle is from an old Cliff Raven flash set titled "Seated Eagles, Excellent for Covering Old Work". I sent him the name of the sheet, and five minutes later he sent back the pic.

I think I've probably spent far too much this month as well. But luckily he is coming next month :D lol I managed to put some money aside to get tattooed by him incase something like him coming over for a shrot period ever happened again when I missed him the last time around

I finally started my workout routine. Been going at it pretty steady for about a month (sans 5 days I took off because of bronchitis). Mixed combo of medium weight lifting and cardio. I've definitely started to get definition back in my arms and shoulders. I've dropped about 7 pounds as well. Gotta get back to my 185 fighting weight. So, that's about 25 pounds.

My back outline got pushed up. I start it next weekend with Chad K. Looks like my next 2 years of tattooing is going to be all this big work im starting this year.

Yeah I don't think I realized how great their shop was till I had to choose which tattooer I wanted to book an appointment with. If I had more time and skin I would have just said give me one of each.

Wes Anderson is love him or hate him. I fall in the 'love' category. Moonrise Kingdom was sweet. The usual Anderson touches (kids in animal costumes, running away for adventure) are either cliche or trademark (I fall in the trademark category) depending on how you view it. So cute.

Having magazines with somewhat tasteful nudes is not a problem. Having gaping holes and chicks being sprayed with cum out in public is low class. Those mags are made for private viewing. Yeah I judge people. So what. Anyway, I have nothing against porn. But a smart business man/woman wouldn't have such red flags out in the open for "just anybody" to see. My 2 cents. I mean if you have hustler in your lobby, chances are some creep is gonna jagoff in your bathroom. You think they won't? Think again. You wanna clean that up? Most shops get playboy delivered free these days. We keep them in the office. They would just get stolen anyway.

Back on subject. I'm booked in to get this on Friday 13th July. It's from volume 1 of the Russian Prison Tattoo book. I've modified it a bit and added a little red. I'm a bit funny about getting exact copies of these tattoos, probably because I spent a bit of time in a corrective institution as a teenager. For me prison tattoos are earned. But hey that’s just me.

I took a pic of a Japanese Version of the "ROA" it was a backpiece on one of the guys that works at Goodtime Charlies, in Anaheim, I can't remember who it was on, or who did it.. But it was badass... I saw this at the True Tattoo Grand Reopening while hiding out in the office avoiding the crowd.

this is pretty simple in the act of self promoting you publish your stuff and it is public domain. i dont mean in a legal way but your putting it out there for people to see. this business is full of no talent ass clowns who search hi and low for influences to print off the computer and trace.. haha. as for flash thats the whole point. cant get pissed if someone sucks at doing your designs be glad you dont. you paint them to sell that s the whole deal. now if you look at someones design and try to copy it you are ripping it off, if you look at it and it inspires you to draw eagles all day thats influenced. we are sponges you cant help look at eds eagles and not love the way the wings have tension and try to recreate that energy but not line for line, thats just not right. finally just learn how to draw it stay up all night chain smoke get drunk listen to tom waits bone machine and dig in and learn how malone did it or how ed makes it look easy its up to you and fuck everyone else......much love scott
