  2. Aloha LST'ers, We have launched a new section on LST where you can rate and post reviews of all of the tattoo shops you have been to: Tattoo Shop Reviews | Last Sparrow Tattoo If you see a shop missing, just click the yellow 'add another tattoo shop' button at the top right and submit the shop name, location, and other details requested in the form and we'll add it to the list. Notice that there is an option to upload a picture of the tattoo that you got at the shop you're reviewing. Unfortunately the images are not linked to the LST Tattoo Gallery system at this time. Try it out and let us know how we can make it better!

  3. Sounds great. This will create a database of the best tattoo shops worldwide and give real feedback from actual customers and not be cluttered up with uninformed rants by people too cheap to pay for tattoos so they feel the need to bad mouth a shop.

  14. Ovo vegetarianism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia They eat egs. But they arent vegan. The modern day with all the things with names :) Mac Danzig (MMA) is also vegan. Dont know what type. Started a new cycle in deadlift after a rest week. Doing a 4RM and again taking 5% off. I was hungry and shaking, so my 5% was 10% :D Oh well... Also should have done press, but my shoulder muscle (or something in there) has been acting for a few weeks, so I skipped it. Dont feel nothing when doing deads, or when I rotate my arm. Certain upwards positions tighten it. Getting it checked on monday. Just ran in my apartment in the 8th floor. Fuck me, Im out of shape. I was breathing like a idiot for 5 minutes. Then after 15minutes did 10 burpees. Then fuck it! Had a Aikido camp this weekend. Great stuff! The teacher that we had is also a Rules of engagement teacher (I had to look it up what it is in English), so his aikido is soft, fast but oh so real life oriented! Rules of engagement - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia edit. Hmmm. I guess the ROE isnt the correct term because he doesnt teach military, but guards etc.

  18. 'Our lives are in God's hands' is depicted in the following way: I am not religious myself but if I wanted a tattoo of the psalm you've mentioned I would make it symbolic using this image (or some customization of it) with the number 66:9 somewhere.

  22. Well you wouldn't be able to fit a Big Mac on that arm. Good job that arms got a tattoo on it or it might be mistaken for a bit of thread hanging from his sleeve.

  33. I'm ethnically Japanese. On behalf of my people, I give you a pass. Enjoy your tattoo :-) Actually it's funny because as I understand and simplify it, there was one point in history when it was illegal for Japanese people to get tattoos. The only people that could get the old school japanese style tattoo work from Japanese tattooists without the Government freaking out were the foreigners. So if you want to get really old school about it, you're continuing tradition. Ha ha. Have fun, get what you want, make yourself happy.

  34. Yeah, I think I'm OK with the Norse stuff. It's this piece, and it's inspired by Fenrir: It's actually a coverup of this piece I got almost 20 years ago: (bigger shot for scale) So, basically, we covered a wolf with a bigger wolf. I call it my recursive wolf. As you can imagine, I doubt I'll ever be confused with a white supremacist!

  35. I've done DEAD BOYS, SICK and SANE. Two of my friends let me decide on theirs.. One was on tour with his band, just off another tour talking about how worn out he was from it all. One night at the bar, I told him he should get ROAD WORN. He said he wasn't getting his knuckles done...then he got them as soon as he returned. The other had a few ideas and...has a history with the ladies. He was about to get GIVE and TAKE and as he was walking out for a cigarette, I suggested WALK AWAY -- as a warning to the girls he meets. He came back from his smoking/thinking beak and we did it. I have STAY TRUE on mine. Nothing original, I know. The night before I got them it was down to that, DARK DAYS or REST EASY and while I didn't get the coolest one, it's where my head was at and needed to be. I ride an old Triumph and my buddy's a goldsmith. I had him make me a huge silver ring with the T patterned after my tank badge. I wear it on my right ring finger so it still says STAY TRUE.

  36. Think less. Get tattooed more! Joking aside, although your point is very valid, it kinda doesn't matter. In my experience foreign cultures (i.e. any not your own, except Maori) don't really get offended when someone gets a tattoo influenced by their culture. I'm not sure, but this idea of offending whole cultures seems to spring from the days of usenet or early forums where there was more typing than tattooing going on. I encounter variations of this question all the time. My answer usually is "it doesn't matter" think about everything else in your life and it's cultural authenticity. Think about the language you speak, the food you eat, the clothes you wear etc, etc. unless you are part of a tribe or Japanese, there's a good chance you live a fairly multicultural life without realising it. But yeah, I'd say Japanese tattooing is one of the cornerstones of tattoo culture. Yes there is such a thing. To me "tattoo culture" is more interesting and valid than "tattoo lifestyle" maybe I don't act, socialise, party, work, fuck, drink, ride transportation, dress or eat like others in this culture but they still accept me as a friend, peer or brother when we meet, for the first time, or the hundredth time, anywhere in the world. That's not to say having a sleeve will give you access to a global network of friends but 'tattoo' is a thing in, and of itself. Your Japanese tattoo won't really be a Japanese tattoo, it will be a Japanese style tattoo hopefully executed with love, effort, craft, and respect for its origins. Which is more than can be said for much of our modern lives. Also, traditional arts and crafts are dying out in their native countries around the world. It's often foreigner's interest that keeps them alive. With that in mind, the idea of offending a culture that allows its traditions to die through adopting some of those traditions seems a little redundant to me. After all is said and done, I hope you get a tattoo, for you, that makes you happy.

  37. Get what you want, not what other people like. It's your body and at the end of the day you have to wear it till your worm-food. As long as the tattoo is not regrettable in any way (joke tattoo?) or anything truly offensive (at your discretion) you will be OK. Remember everyone's threshold is different, tattoos in general are still not really "accepted" outside of the "cute upside-down script of 2 words", so be a "rebel" and do it! I have a Japanese tattoo and am nowhere near being of Japanese origin, but it looks great! (Oh yea FYI, from my understanding anything from "Norse culture/mythology", in Norway can be considered nationalist, which in turn is "bad") please any Norwegians correct me if wrong. To sum up...you have to live with it, so get what you want and don't let others influence the decision.

    Obscene Tattoos

Yeah, Woody does tattoos, but he's more of a cartoonist. The interviewer isn't the only twat in the frame. So a famously publicity hungry tattooer, who's notoriously fond of gimmicks invests in a super-deluxe tattoo removal lazer. Because he had virtually no tattoos already, he tattoos deliberately inflammatory statements on himself then does a photo shoot and speaks to every interviewer who'll listen. No prizes for guessing what publicity grabbing event happens next... Yeah, this is the same tattooer who called a client and offered to tattoo the Jacko arrest photo with the words "Peado Cunt" FOR FREE. Although the client was a fool to accept the offer, he was a young student with little money who liked tattoos. Who, in that situation would refuse a funny, free tattoo? That client has since had a massive coverup of a traditional eagle. Woody also tattoos drunk metalheads for free at the UK Download festival. I'm a tattooer. Woody does tattoos. We are not doing the same thing. Irresponsible is the kindest thing I can say about his work and work ethic.
