  3. I'm going to see Kim Saigh at the end of the month for my biggest tattoo so far, it will also be the first one that I didn't bring a reference, just told her what I wanted knowing she will make it great... Getting excited! It's an early 43rd b-day present to myself.

  10. Watch "Stoney Knows How". He talks about the biker flash that he has drawn, his opinions on it, and its meaning. He is not a fan, but he is running a business, and you got to give them what they want. I love the biker flash that he drew, and I will probably get some in the future, but it is easy to drop the swastika out of most of the designs. Personally I am too old to consider shock-value as a reason to do anything. That is for angry young men, and I am an angry old man.

  15. I'm glad this thread poped up, I'm half Mohawk (Iroquois) And I've been trying to figure out how to represent this as a tattoo, I don't really consider my right arm in its current state to be an Indian tattoo like the others posted, but it does have it's subtle hints about my heritage. (the Raven skull for my raven totems). I really like the Navajo tattoos that you guys posted, so vibrant. It defiantly hits the nail on the head about their culture. I think if anything it's almost a respect thing getting those if you aren't native American because it shows the love of the culture, and ways of the people.. And isn't the stereotypical Lady head.. (don't get me wrong their cool, but I'm not a real fan of the Indian ones.)

  22. "But at the end of the day, are you really a happier person? Has this tattoo, for instance, caused you to learn something new about yourself? Has it challenged you? Has it led you to self-growth? Nothing comes out of getting a tattoo. You get a tattoo, and that's it. You do something productive, though, and you see results. That's a genuine, satisfying change in life. Not ink." At the end of the day when I've gotten a new tattoo yes I am happier. Tattoos can cause you to learn something new about yourself. Tattoos can change you. Tattoos can lead to self growth. Her idea of doing something productive "Invest your time, money, and effort into a gym membership, or yoga classes, or new clothes, or experimenting with different hairstyles if you're craving something new with your body, not a tattoo" So instead of getting tattoos all women should do whatever it takes to be skinny and have the latest fashions? So according to her going to the mall is a way to promote self growth and positive change? Wasting your money on overpriced goods so that some guy will want to fuck you is better than investing in artwork you will carry for the rest of your life? Awesome glad I know how to make my life more awesome now. And just to be a bitch I'm gonna go ahead and guess that girl who wrote the article is just dealing with some jealousy as she's not very attractive herself and looks to be rather plain and boring. Way to go lady! P.s. since when is a woman equal to a Ferrari or any other car? Talk about degrading yourself by getting tattoos and then you're gonna write and article comparing women to cars. Shit like this drives me up the fucking wall.

well he kept yelling how awesome his Black n Grey work was, then he rushed a backpiece in 4 hours with horrible shading and oliver called him out on it. Every new episode i watch i feel disgusted that i watched it start to finish but it's like a carcrash where you can't look away. This is just a carcrash with Oliver Peck being awesome at the side

  25. I think we are missing the point here. I would totally put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari. Especially one that says "I have a Ferrari, and you dont."

  27. I'll admit that I'm a little conflicted about this thread. I post on two fitness-related forums, and I don't discuss tattoos there. Separate spheres and all that. Also, it seems that there's something very anabolic about a keyboard; I've found that everyone's lifts go up by 40-50 pounds as soon as they're typed onto the Internet. However, it's nice to see DAN JOHN mentioned anywhere. I did his high-rep squat program from Mass Made Simple last year (and came close to hurling many times). I'm also a fan of Jim Wendler and have done 5/3/1 for several cycles. I'm currently using it for linear progression on squats. I'm dealing with some medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow) right now that is fucking with my low-bar squats, but I'm trying to find workaround solutions for it. I have a decent little gym setup in my tiny basement, so I'm down there 2-3 times a week and at a commercial gym once a week. It definitely keeps me sane.

Unfortunately, I don't really have anything to add to the discussion as such (due to being an Australian with very limited knowledge/understanding of native american culture) I do however have a kick ass tattoo to add (technically it's two, but you get the idea) Done by the always impressive Ben Leland-Grillo Ben Leland-Grillo | Facebook

  36. Oh man, I'm glad that there are some enthusiasts in here! Ursula, sorry to single you out, but those trainers are only continuing to endorse antiquated beliefs and it's so frustrating to hear it still being repeated. Women and men should train the same. You don't have testacles so you will never have to worry about getting huge. Using heavy resistance training will make you feel way better. Also, repetitive core training is not what is making your waist smaller. Your diet and improved fitness level are doing that. With normal gym routines and a healthy diet, your waistline will see improvement whether you do core training or not. If you start training like a guy, and you do realize you're putting on too much muscle for your taste, it is so easy to lose muscle if you get to that point. Nice numbers at that BW RoryQ. Hopefully you have a fast recovery from that neck injury. Anyone dabble in a competitive nature? I've stepped on stage as a bodybuilder, as much as I hate to consider myself one. I want to start getting in to strongman, but I need bigger numbers first. My overhead press is pathetic. Tattoos in the gym...Don't even get me started on that subject. Bro tattoos are the worst. The most common I see are Bible references in script that is so tiny that now that it's aged it just looks like scribble, surrounded by some weird looking clouds with rays of light coming out of it. Speaking of lifting blogs, my favorite is by far ChAoS & PAIN . Very NSFW, this guy is hilarious.

  42. Armbands that connect are bad luck. Variation: Armbands that connect can cut off the circulation and your arm will fall off. Face/hand/neck tattoos are illegal. I always feel bad posting right after Stewart. He goes into so much detail that it makes my two sentence posts seem lazy. Perhaps by mentioning this fact it will add a little bit of 'meat' to my post and make it seem like I have more than a ten word vocabulary.

  43. Further proof that being a cop doesn't mean you're smart/cool/educated/not a complete fucking asshole/have any brain in your head, etc. Especially in America. I had a cop in Florida say "for all I know you could be a terrorist, they did come from Canada after all" this was his reaction to us having run out of gas and then finding out I wasn't from there. Obviously no where near as fucked up as this story but you know, cops aren't any smarter than your average high school drop out for the most part.
