Thoughts on e2: Ton Jones isn't "heavily tattooed". He's just heavy. My fiancee's 81yo Jewish Bubbe used to have the same sunglasses that Chriss Angel... errr.. Navarro is wearing on the car challenge. Peck calling James "hillbilly" was funny. Al Fliction's glasses are stupid. As stupid as Al Fliction. I want to see Peck and Nunez tattoo a pig in a 32* meat locker, pinstripe a car and braid Navarro's hair to match Al's goatee. I want to eat crawdaddies with James at a hoedown. I can't believe the producers didn't have a backup for psoriasis guy other than two tons of fun. I feel bad for having watched another episode.12 points -

Unfortunately, I don't really have anything to add to the discussion as such (due to being an Australian with very limited knowledge/understanding of native american culture) I do however have a kick ass tattoo to add (technically it's two, but you get the idea) Done by the always impressive Ben Leland-Grillo Ben Leland-Grillo | Facebook3 points

First off, I apologise if there is already a 'hand tattoo' thread (palm tattoos & knuckles I could find), but damn it, after a really solid search I can't find shiet. SO, I figured I'd start this one, and then if there is another one then Mods by all means please move and/or delete thread. Also when I say 'hands' I'm talking the top of said hands, or fingers or chuck knuckles in here as well (the knuckle thread I could find, but hey if your feeling lazy feel free to drop them here) Posted in another thread but this is what inspired this one. By Ben Leland-Grillo Ben Leland-Grillo | Facebook By Franz Stefanik Tattoos by Franz Stefanik (seriously digging this guys stuff lately) ^^ Apologies, but I'm honestly not sure who did the above 2. Anyone who knows feel free to chime in ;) (I have my suspicions on who did the 'koi thumb sleeve')2 points

I've decide to finally get my first tattoo at 50 something! I've been thinking about it since I was 18 and realized that I'm not getting any younger. At least this way I don't need to worry about what it will look like when I'm old :) I'm in the Winchester, VA area. I haven't decided on an artist yet, but will post in the main forum looking for recommendations.2 points -

I was going to attempt to watch the first episode, and recoiled at the very first time I heard that. 10 seconds later, some clown had a braided beard, and I needed to turn it off. There are certain things I have no tolerance for, and braided beards are at the top of my list.2 points

This morning at 12:30am my wife had our second child. We named him London Christopher! He came in at 21 inches long and a whopping 10 pounds 14 ounces. My wife is a true champ, we (SHE!!) did a home birth. So no pain killers, totally natural!!!1 point

I never said that haha. There are assholes everywhere. In my experience there's just more of them in FL than anywhere in Canada I've been. Plus a lot of the people who frequent ski resorts in BC are American or European anyway ;)1 point

@Hrubarb got a few tats on his shin from @Scott Sylvia Friday afternoon. I told him, "No deadlifting for 2 weeks." I'm still waiting to hear if he made it to his workout session the next morning. I've had some bad experiences working out with an unhealed tattoo, mostly due to the omnipresence of staph in commercial gyms. You probably want to keep the tattooed area completely covered in the gym, and like @RoryQ said, don't do anything that would come into contact with it (i.e. shin-scraping deadlifts).1 point

Anyone care to take a stab at how much Peck pulls in per episode? He's the only legitimate aspect of the show. Helluva tattooer. I've only heard good things about him. Nice guy when I met him, briefly. I bet the omnipresent toothpick sits under his tongue, its end barbed like a chastity belt. How else can he keep from crying with laughter?1 point -

Jaycel, I'm sure there are lots of good school in FL, the bad ones just outnumber them. In Jax specifically I'm thinking of the public elementary school in Springfield and Regency areas. Unfortunately it seems, the poorer you are there the better chance you'll be stuck in one of those awful schools that get no funding. In my opinion it's those students that need the funding and the better teachers more than the better off white kids who will have a much easier time at life because they came out white and not really poor. When I first got to FL I was shocked by how many spelling mistakes I'd see on signs. To me, the fact that you can not even spell what you are trying to sell me does not make me want to give you my money. Gouge, I've been to NYC a few times. I was either with my boyfriend at that time, or traveling with a security guy (I used to be cool haha) so I guess that's why I never noticed it there. Slayer, I too got away with the looking like a mean metal head type for a while but in the last 7-8 years that I've let my hair grow long and started wearing makeup and not men's xl band t-shirts, I've lost my scary edge :( I do keep my eyebrows with a high steep arch though, which I've been told by some makes me look mean. Maybe when I move back to Jacksonville I should get back into full face Marilyn Manson style makeup like back in my high school days. I bet dudes think that's real hot.1 point -

"Hey beautiful, you so beautiful, you my princess, look at that body--" Dude shut the fuck up! He was also 42. And classy.1 point -

Cause you're not a lady. It can be 20 degrees out, my wife still gets "cat called" bundled up in a coat and scarf when she's by herself or even when she's with another female. Funny thing about Americans, they come from all over and have different cultural backgrounds -- which is not to excuse hollerin' at ladies, that shit makes me nuts. So don't worry, Ursula, when you come to NY you'll catch plenty of the same shit you do in FL!1 point -

I live in Oklahoma, and most people I know have at least a little bit of native blood. For example, I am a white guy, but I have 2 types of native blood in my veins Cherokee and Choctaw. That said, here nobody really says anything one way or another. Most people assume that you have some native American heritage if you've got a tattoo along those lines. It doesn't really answer your question, but I would say geography would play a big part in that. I also have a couple of nice native lady pieces drawn up and on display in my booth and have had nothing but compliments by Native Americans who have seen them.1 point

Oh yeah; when you're comparing Shane O'neil with... B-tat... somewhere someone had to look at their portfolios and say "wow. B-tat's work looks like it was done by an epileptic colorblind koala bear with one eye missing*". The only reason he was allowed on was as a sacrificial lamb. *With one eye, the colorblind koala wouldn't have any depth perception. Thats why.. .you know... he doesn't have RAW TALENT. I'm Shawn, and I'm not here to make any friends. That's my opinion.1 point -

Regardless of the topic, why must every reality show have some douche who says "I didn't come here to make friends". I'm going to go on a show. I'm going to say "I totally came here to make a bunch of friends, hopefully have sex with someone, and maybe just maybe not look like a big ol' douche on tv."1 point -

The lettering on Al Fliction's tattoo made me laugh. The entire thing was awful but the lettering really caught my eye in a bad way. I enjoyed seeing the look on his face as they judges told him his work was garbage. Funny that Dave Navarro had a hard on for that tattoo. I was really hoping Oliver would be a little more brutal when judging. Who knows what they cut out I guess.1 point -

There is a really wonderful tattoo by Valerie that isn't up anymore, so instead I will go for second place, which is a tattoo from back in March by Thomas Hooper. It's probably not objectively his best tattoo of the year, but I really love the choice of subject for this chest piece. It is a far less obviously aggressive animal choice than you tend to get on chest pieces, which is great because swans are as hard as fucking nails. I like the wing positions and it's webbed feet.1 point -

I'm flattered! I'll also jump on the bandwagon and go with my tigers. All credit goes to Mr. Lehi. I just had to lie there and take it, and he was kind enough to complete the whole affair in 7.5 hours. And no, I did not get them in one sitting. He actually broke it up over 4, so it wasn't that bad. Who am I kidding? It was the worst, but at least he's fast. Really, though, there are so many jawdroppingly good tattoos that I see almost daily--often from our very own @Valerie Vargas and @Stewart Robson, but also from local shops like Blackheart and Spider Murphy's--that I can't pick a favorite on someone else. There's just too much good stuff out there.1 point -
