"i'm getting this tattoo because i'm part cherokee" or "i'm getting this tattoo because i'm irish" - i give gingers a particular hard time about this and tell them that they are actually scottish and were just used as political pawns for the king of england to take over my ancestors country.1 point

Tattoo Elite International always has good flash for sale. (goggle tattoo elite international) You could also check out Headband Brothers where you will usually find some really great paintings from Scott Harrison and others (google headband brothers or scott harrison) Dan Higgs has some paintings up for sale on his blog (google higgs gallery) If you google 'blackheart tattoo blog' they often have information on art and prints for sale by all the guys who work there. Very awesome stuff. If you go on Facebook and search out "deep six graphics" he makes prints for a lot of tattooers and always knows who's got something cool for sale. If you ever are in New York city I'd suggest Black Gold Records and Antiques for their selection of awesome art and curios. I'm sure it's easy to find their info online. Lots of people here have their blog or shop linked in their signature or profile and I know from checking them out that lots of them have art and prints for sale as well. Personally, my two favourite paintings (that I own) are by Robert Ryan (who I'm sure you can find contact info for online, his stuff is really amazing and reasonably priced) and the other is by 'Taco Warewolf' who you can also find online, it's not tattoo related but I love it. The favourite prints I own are the panther girl by Mike Wilson (you can buy it on tattoo elite international or from him at conventions/his shop) and my dude owns some really rad Jeff Rassier prints that you can probably get on the Blackheart website or by contacting them at the shop. anyways hope that helps ya a bit!1 point

Tiger tattoos
The Tig reacted to NickLarson for a topic
crappy pictures of the tiger on my forearm. What is everyone's opinion on adding white to the tiger's face? My artist seems to think it will fade in the sun and look like crap.1 point -

from a friend: "Buddy of mine owns a flight charter company in AK. He just flew a photographer, Norio Matsumoto, up onto the glacier at Mt. McKinley for the 13th year in a row. This guy builds a snow cave on the glacier and lives there for 7 weeks taking pics, with his main goal being taking the perfect pic of the Northern Lights and Mt. McKinley. " more info here :)1 point

Tattoo Myths and Misconceptions
Jake reacted to mattyrunks for a topic
Red is made from fire and Blue, obviously, is made from clouds. I also been told by clients that fatty and boney parts hurt more to get tatted, or hurt less, depending. That tat guns go a "million times" a second. That Kat Von D is the most famous tattooer. Of course, there are always the stories that still persist of the ol " fox hunt" tattoo that they're buddy's uncle had. That female tattooers hurt less (especially Kat Von D). Oh ,and where can I get that skin -colored ink to tattoo over unwanted tattoos..Bill WaverLy? I'm lookin at you....1 point -
2012 Most Popular Tattoo Design Projections

I was talking to a friend of mine about this over Christmas so I was glad to see it as a new thread here. My prediction is much like Stewart's. I think that there will be a lot of 60's, 70's, and early eighties stuff. Greg Irons, Jack Rudy, and Mike Malone. Especially Malone. He has so much great flash out there, and it is well drawn. I think that people are getting tired of the over simplification of tattoos. The American Traditional resurgence has gotten so simplified that it is losing its visual power. Malone will be the new Higgs.1 point -
