Having more sessions on my back. Going to NY and planning a visit to Smith Street. Also planning something on my forearm. Lastly, I am going to the bay area tattoo convention!!!! Oh yeah, before I do all this "tattoo" stuff, as my wife refers to it, I'll be looking forward to February. My wife is expecting our second (AND LAST) child. It's a boy and we are stoked!!!! Bring on 2012!!!!!!

We were talking about this at work the other day. Many years ago I had a job delivering milk to peoples houses. At the time of my misfortunes it was during the winter it was quite icy underfoot. Anyway I slipped up on someones path I had a bottle of milk in my hand. The bottle smashed and badly gashed the palm of my hand. Blood everywhere. My hand required a few stitches and I was off work for three weeks. On my second or third day after returning to work from my accident I must have slipped on icy paths about three or four times. As I was walking back up someones path I slipped again and I just lost the plot. I screamed something like "Fucking cunt" and kicked this gate post as hard as I could. I gingerly limped back to my milk float. I managed to carry on for about half and hour but my big toe was killing me. I phoned the dairy and told them I had dropped a crate of milk on my foot. Back to the hospital for an xray. Broken big toe another 4 weeks off work. Mind you not as good as my workmates dad. He was taken to hospital after he hit himself on the head with a hammer. WTF.

Might be the Whiskey talking here but , 2012 will be the year of the Tiger and Eagle for me yass !! I might get the ribs done definetly getting the other thigh covered . And mibbe something wierd from Ty Mcewan when he coimes back over. Anyone thought abpout what your up for getting next year ??

I tattoo people's GF or BF's name on them all the damn time and that's a much bigger fail than a hand or neck tattoo. I'd rather tattoo a (fill in the blank) on someone's hand anyday over doing some dude's name on a girl's chest or whatever other spot. People are gonna make bad decisions. That's life. If someone is determined, no matter what, to get a star on their hand and are gonna get it from me or go to some other shop a bit down the road, well I got a light bill to pay so sit in the chair dumbass. At least it'll have straight lines and a solid fill.

I wonder what he wishes to accomplish by meeting this young lady. I contacted her, and let her know that Drake wants to meet her. I'm guessing he will either offer her a permanent position in his personal harem or offer to pay for laser removal. As for me, I'm not sure how to go about him fighting me. I have accepted his offer on multiple internet forums, but have yet to hear from him. If anybody knows this Drake dude, could you let him know I'd enjoy meeting him and getting "fucked up" by his babyshit soft fists of fury?

Too many tattoos planned for 2012 so far... Finishing my gypsy lady on my arm, as well as adding more to start off a traditional sleeve. Deciding between a entire "calf sleeve" on my left of a dragon/phoenix or finishing off my right leg with some epic Thomas Hooper geometric craziness, and top it off the possibility of some traditional occult tattoos on my upper right thigh. For sure 2013 will have no tattoos at all after such a tattoo-packed year!

Definitely more things from jaie devore at perfection. Maybe see if i can manage a porkchop from chris trevino. Gettin something from stell too. Goin to ny in a few months. Might get somethin small there. Maybe santoro or robinson. Thats about all.

@ShawnPorter, you're right. I can certainly admit when I'm being a jerk and should've simply said, "I don't get the aesthetic and it's not for me personally," instead of basically, "Fuck that guy." It's my knee-jerk reaction to that kind of thing because I obviously make assumptions about the people that only go for hands/neck and, try as I might, end up making snap judgments. I'm sure the dude put a lot of thought into it. I'll be a lesson to myself here and apologize if I came off like a high-and-mighty-dickhead. I haven't failed to see that in the same way I'm sure plenty of people have made snap judgments about me. We joke a lot about the Warped Tour Bodysuit and obviously all those that go for that look aren't straight up douches. Or maybe they are. In conclusion, nobody's "doing it wrong." My own arms could be wrong by someone else's definition. Different strokes for different folks. But I still sort of.. wonder when I see hands/necks only.

The large scar on my hand is from seeing Terror in 2005 @ Petalumas phoenix theater. A very large man didnt like that I hit him in his belly and knocked my ass out. Wooden floors are not good for sliding on.

Had similar experiences, it's a weird feeling! Also, I often don't feel like "the tattooed guy" even though, for example at family functions, I very obviously am. It is kind of nice though to have the anonymity granted by long sleeves. Also, V/Gun made me think of "vagina weapon." .....sorry. I blame D for that for some reason. I truly can't understand that mentality and it would make me question the dude's motives, nice guy or not. I wish it was more complex than the instant credibility the person assumes they'll garner.. but seems to me that type of person has no interest in tattoos and simply wants attention. I hate getting tattooed the older I get, but there's no way I'm stopping and there's no way I could justify hands/neck til I'm older. And at least got started on my back. Hands/neck only seems like a red flag. Like women that have children's voices, or a person that moves five times inside of a year. Or a guy that says he doesn't want to tattoo his arms and gets his hands done. Red flag.

I'd love to have someone who knows me, like actually KNOWS knows me to get ahold of this Drake fellow and let him know exactly who he has challenged to fisticuffs. And I think it's pretty interesting that he is essentially saying that if you get his name tattooed on your forehead, he would want to meet you.

To be honest, the foot isn't really a traditional Japanese spot to tattoo. You could get many different images done their though, sea creatures, small animals, masks... are you wanting a background with it or just a "one point" japanese tattoo? For Bunshin Horitoshi's site it is easy to navigate once you look around a bit, but here is a link to his tattoos ????????? this is a fascinating documentary that i highly suggest watching. it blew my socks off. all the stills in the trailer are photos he takes of his 'world', and are just as amazing as the stuff he's making. watch this

the whole 'do what you want' fills me with dread, mostly cos every time it crops up bar once they never really mean it. it usually involves me having to think about ideas, since they arent giving me anything to go on and taking time to develop them into a design. the few times it's been requested of me, ive mentioned skulls or animals and i could see them shrug ever so slightly and then the words come out, 'i'm not really a fan of skulls...' or 'i was thinking more of a girl with a pocketwatch/magpie/victorian artefact...' my thing is, that if you just want something, ask for it, dont tell me to go crazy then say youre not into what i just said, specially when im not even pushing the boat out. it's not doing me a favour letting me do what i want, its giving me a headache, i much prefer some direction or a seed of an idea. the combination is much better than starting out cold. also, one week i might really wanna do a blood thirsty warrior and maybe i wanna do a 2 headed medieval dragon the next, my reference and influences change from week to week, i dont keep a list of things i wanna do, maybe some tattooers do but i dont. my conclusion on this is, only ask your tattooer for whatever they wanna tattoo if you are 100% sure you can live with yourself wearing whatever they come up with on your skin forever, and if you can't, then give them a couple of ideas or ask if theres something theyve been thinking theyd like to do recently and keep it open.

This is a very true statement. There a a lot of very very talented artists that are not untouchable/famous. Hello I know NYC is right around the corner from me and there are a ton of amazing guys (some if not a lot are better than the tattoo tv stars of today)
