a friend's father started getting tattooed in 1949. he was the first guy i remember as a kid seeing tattoos on. he told me his first few were from Dad Libertys' in old Scolley Sq, Ma. i had my friend send me some photos. these are a few of my favorites. unfortunately they are small phone pics, but you can still tell what's going on.5 points

175 billion dollar tax-payer bailout in 2008. 32.6 billion paid out in bonuses to bank employees in 2008. Not one of the demands on that list is more ridiculous than that.3 points -
Un-planned tattoos
Gregor and one other reacted to gougetheeyes for a topic
Reading @slayer9019's List thread got me thinking about all the great un-planned tattoos. Maybe you popped in and decided on something else, maybe it was a goofy day at the shop, hell, maybe you were wasted and don't even remember your tattoo and it was a complete surprise the next morning. What comes to mind for me, I'd just met my buddy Jake when was doing a guest spot where I was working the counter and we started bullshitting, and he said he'd be down to tattoo me, so I asked him if there was anything he'd been wanting to do. He said he hadn't gotten to do much Japanese themed tattoos, so I said go for it. Next day he had an Oiwa head drawn up, I said, "Fuck yeah," and he probably said something like, "Fair dinkum mate, wallaby damned," and he put it on that night. Fun times, great dude, and now he's coming to my wedding! My leg was pretty much empty at that time! Here's the photo. It was incredibly nice of him and just a good goddamned time.2 points -

Actually going to Brooklyn now to swing by Saved, Smith St, and possibly Kings Ave. on the way in, might get something done. Then Radegast for bratwurst and liter beers.2 points -

From the article Executive pay Executive pay - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "The typical salary in the top of the list is $1 million - $3 million.[4] The typical top cash bonus is $10 million - $15 million.[5] The highest stock bonus is $20 million.[6] The highest option exercise have been in the range of $100 million - $200 million.[7]" Now I'd like you to explain how that amount ISN'T arbitrary and unrealistic. Also, $20 an hour works out to about $32k after taxes-not sure how that's an unrealistic number. The bottom line is the guys CAN'T do these jobs themselves-they're MBAs at the most and they're expertise lies in numbers and paperwork and even that is delegated to someone else. You honestly think the CEO of Coke knows how to make a batch or the CEO of Toyota could put a car together?2 points -

While I don't have any unplanned tattoos right now, I have a plan to swing by either Smith Street or Adorned (or both) and get something on the spot. I am a bit of a control freak so it will be fun!2 points -

San Francisco treasures
David Flores reacted to Iwar for a topic
As some of you know I visited San Francisco recently to get tattooed by Scott Sylvia, Tim Lehi and Grime. If you haven't seen it already you can check out my travelblog here: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/blogs/iwar/232-oslo-san-francisco-travel-blog.html My Scott Sylvia piece is as good as healed now, so I thought I'd start by sharing that one. The rest will be posted here as soon as they are healed and I get decent pictures. All I have to take photos with is my iPhone, so please excuse the mediocre quality.1 point -

The debt forgiveness is unrealistic, but it is a starting point for negotiation. You made bad decisions that led to your debt, and so did I. We accept that and we are both working to pay it back. However there are a lot of people out there who were targeted and tricked into mortgages that they had no business getting. I know our natural impulse is to say that they should have known better, but there is plenty of information out there showing how lenders used false information to trick these people. I do feel that something should be done to make this right. As for you @Jacyel Adkins, and I unfortunately we will have to do it the old-fashioned way.1 point -

Little nervous over here, hope I can do...something. As my first order of business, I feel its necessary to reveal that my name is, in fact, SirBlazeAlot. Now somebody give me their baby to kiss.1 point -
I'm Sure it's been said previously but I am at the point I enjoy every tattoo that walks in the door. With all the shops and people not having money I'll be happy if a taz comes in the door..lol. Honestly if someone has an idea that may not make for a good tattoo I enjoy helping them make it in to something that will stand the test of time.1 point

Bridesmaids was filmed alot in my neighborhood. Movie reminded me of "the hangover" for women. Buuuutttt just as funny for guys. I ask because people here don't know corn about poop. I once worked with this fool. Actually ive worked with a handful but this one I never really cared for. This woman came tO the shop on my day off. Turns out she had a bob Roberts back piece. The fool had no idea who he was. Uggghhh there was a show that night and it just so happened I ran into her there. We strike up a conversation and we realize I worked at the shop with the dork who didn't know who bob Roberts was. She then showed me an amazing back piece AAAAAND her boobs. Moral of the story.....know your history kids. Knowledge gets you boobs.1 point -
