  2. Well I know I'm new here, but I'm going to play the bad guy. That tattoo is terrible. There isn't one redeeming quality in the whole thing. The line work is choppy and inconsistent, the shading (if you want to call it that) looks like it was done with a prison tattoo "gun" as it's uneven, splotchy and simply in the wrong areas, and in 10 years this thing will be an unrecognizable mess. If I'm reading the photo correctly, it's put on backwards too. You don't need to get a "traditional" portrait to have a nice tattoo of a loved one, but I would run, not walk, to the nearest and best portrait artist you have and see if there's any help at all for this thing.

  3. Are you happy with this tattoo? Did you flip through any of the galleries, threads, interviews or blogs on this website, or did you just start a new thread? I know this sounds mean, and you'll probably ignore it, but my advise is to not let this artist get near your skin again and start a new thread here that reads "Who in my area can fix this?". Sorry dude, I'm not trying to starte a flame war or offend you, just trying to point you in the right direction.

i got into another cooking fit this weekend and calories sooooo did not matter! i just wanted to try and make everything! so i made: butter chicken- it is my most favorite indian dish! due to all the cream in it i only make it once in a blue moon! 2 types of empanadas- i took a recipe from a mexican cook book that used a butter and cornmeal pastry for the outside and tomato seafood stew like filling. the other was a ground chicken, egg, olives and cheese filling in a non traditional pie crust pastry. both turned out so yummy! i served them with a fresh made salsa! i have been making my own pizza dough and trying different combinations of flour. i have been hooked on pizza with no red sauce just olive oil, oregano, roasted vegg, goat cheese and parm and baked until crispy. as i type i have a crust par baking becasue i really want to make a sweet pizza. i think im going to put lindt chocolate, toasted coconut, pistachio, maybe some dried fruit and marshmallows. mmmmm! i finaly got to BBQ after waiting and waiting! i made a ton of chicken souvlaki kabobs and did the same with mushrooms, red onion, zucchini and red peppers. when they were on the grill i brushed them with an herb dressing. fantastic!!! i also put asparagus and corn on there and it gives them the best flavour! then instead of butter and salt on the corn i put lime, mayo, chilli powder and cheese......gross sounding but soooooo good! tyler florence was talking about it on the food network, done by a restaurant in SF i think?

  8. as an idea, the concept is good... as an artist, i think i would prefer to work from the original picture. the original picture would have more read-ability. i would suggest bringing the original to your artist as well.

  9. that is great advice. Tattoo artists are exactly that...ARTISTS. their ability to interpret what you want will most likely be waayyy better than the non-artist could come up with.
